I find it quite despicable to insinuate that just because somebody supports a bill that actually both sides of the aisle can agree on. And it's not that there is much sacrifice as long as the bill isn't tied to some attached strings. The current hate on both sides needs to stop. R34, I don’t know that we are. I mean, we voted for Brexit. That doesn’t say much for us, at least not anything good.

Right now, our PM is suffering from what I call “Joe Biden syndrome”. Our right-wing press - which is probably all of our press - saw the success the corporate media had in the U.S. dismissing all of Joe Biden’s accomplishments and getting rid of him and so now they just hound Keir Starmer relentlessly. It so undemocratic. Everyone knows here that a PM gets to call an election within 5 years of taking office but within 4 months they were hounding him about leaving office and calling another GE, supporting these losers who have started government petitions for everyone to leave office, even though they were just elected. They haven’t even given him a chance and this is after 14 years of Tory rule. It’s the kind of underhandedness the British just do not go for but they’re SO relentless. It’s pathetic what politics have become.

Meanwhile 68% of the country wants to rejoin the EU and for the 1st time, 54% of leavers want to rejoin the EU and that percentage is likely to grow. So the whole thing has been a complete waste of time, nearly a decade now of actively wasted time. And probably another decade sorting it out. But the U.S. is now entering a similar “populist” era and it’ll probably take 20 years to recover from it, though the country will be irrevocably changed.
