How many remember centerfold Eddie Jamison from March, 2020, who posed nude for the magazine to 'pay for law school' ? I'm not a lawyer like him, yet even I know that you sign a release in perpetuity for the photos when you pose for shoots like this -- not to mention, accept payment from the publisher. I'm not even sure if he'd have standing to go after third parties republishing the photos since, again, he'd have signed away his rights on that release and the photos are the copyrighted property of Playgirl.

Being a photography graduate, I told him I'd do his photos for him. I remember on July 4th weekend in 1995, we went to a vacant parking garage and did about two dozen photos - he really got into them. It was fun 'fluffing' him between shots (he knew I was gay and didn't mind me 'having fun' with him from time to time). We sent in the best half dozen or so, and waited to hear back from them.

Sure enough, he gets a call from the magazine and they're interested in putting his photo (taken by me) in the 'Real Men' contest and sent him a check for $200. They told us to get back in touch with them once the photo ran in the 'real men' contest.

They ended up running the photo nearly six or seven months later. He was so excited to see himself in the magazine. I ended up calling the magazine to schedule that visit, but by then the magazine went through yet another round of hiring / firings and the guy who we spoke to earlier (a photo editor) was no longer there, and we no longer had a visit scheduled.

I'm happy to see my photo of him in the register, but I won't say who it is here on the forum. He used his real name, and I'm not certain he wants to be identified on a public forum like this.
