The good ol' days when men had pubic bushes on their cocks, hair on their chest, hair under their arms and hair on their legs. No tattoos, no nose rings ! No pierced nipples - just a little diamond stud in their ear lobe (maybe).

My very good friend is in this! He looks so sexy and tough in his pic but now he is a 60-year-old queenie bottom. After his Playgirl shoot, he modeled in Japan for a year.

I love my Franks...Frank Bradley, Frank DeFeo, and Frank Savino.
I remember jerking off with Frank Bradley. Since he was a "Real Man" I think that was the only nude shot of him.
I'm pretty certain Frank Savino appeared on Phil Donahue with other Playgirl models.
Sadly Frank DeFeo is shaved in this spread and is now dead.

Boys aren’t named Frank anymore. To our detriment, frankly.

Playgirl keeps most of its centerfolds under lock and key. A lot of these guys were from the "Real Men" section - sent in by their girlfriends (and boyfriends) which I love. Some of the profiles are highly entertaining as well...

R15, you would’ve loved Playgirl’s sort-lived series of VHS tapes (“Playgirl On-Air,” IIRC). They had a video feature of Max Werner as the hottest pizza delivery driver on earth.

How many remember centerfold Eddie Jamison from March, 2020, who posed nude for the magazine to 'pay for law school' ? IIRC, he was 'man of the year' and then 'man of the millennial' in their '2000 special issue'. I unloaded buckets of cum more than once over his photos. He went by the name of 'Eddie Leone' in the magazine.
Once he graduated and became a 'respectable' lawyer, he had his photos scrubbed from every website, and threatened those who posted them (including PLAYGIRL) with lawsuits if they didn't oblige. Not so sure if he's still on top of this as he was 20 years ago, as there are photos at LPSG.
I did a recent search on him - he now specializes in 'credit theft' and 'identity theft' law. Still a great looking guy for someone near 50.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | December 16, 2024 12:59 PM |
Correction: Jamison first posed nude in the April, 1999 issue. He was then crowned 'Man of the Millennial' which was published in the March, 2000 issue.
I also kind of remember he never acknowledged his gay male fanbase , focused on his female fanbase and is straight. He did get married for a short time, and had a son - and was entangled in a strange custody battle.

R35 I agree. He was a great looking guy with a great cock to share with his fans (that erection!), but full of too much self-importance. When you pose for a magazine which has a majority of gay men for subscribers and buyers, you should appreciate them - not look the other way.

I found a few 1970s Playgirls in my dad's mostly straight porn mag stash. He had Nudist magazine, like Hawkeye from M*A*S*H, dated '50s to some really sleazy bisexual pictorials from the early 80s. Open sores and all. *shudder*

R30 This would have been entertaining to watch him try and sue Playgirl. I'm not a lawyer like him, yet even I know that you sign a release in perpetuity for the photos when you pose for shoots like this -- not to mention, accept payment from the publisher. I'm not even sure if he'd have standing to go after third parties republishing the photos since, again, he'd have signed away his rights on that release and the photos are the copyrighted property of Playgirl.

Incidentally, this was the first Playgirl I ever stole.
I had just turned 13 that December 1992.
It says January 1993, but they always released them one month early.
Plus, I remember I stole it between my 13th birthday and Christmas 1992.
We were out at the mall as a family one weekend and I wandered off on my own, eventually ending up at the bookstore, where they had a magazine section, including this issue of Playgirl, which naturally caught my eye.
And it was right there, so I took it when no one was watching. haha
I can't recall the gorgeous cover model's name, but he left such an indelible mark on my sex life.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | December 17, 2024 8:11 AM |
R38 I've often wondered the same - he signed off on everything, once he posed and got paid. However, I must say - as far as I can recall (and I bought the magazine right to its demise in the 2010s) - they never, ever published his photos again since the early 2000s. For a 'man of the year' and a 'man of the millennial', he was never seen in the pages again (despite the plethora of re-printing their past centerfolds).
There was also a college student (around the same time) who posed nude to help pay for his education. His name is James Buselli. The guy was gorgeous, and went from a 'student pictorial' to his own centerfold (and I think man of the year ?). He was found on the campus of his school. He went by a few other names, and also posed for gay men's magazines and did some videos (I think solo action). He went to med school after, and continued his nude modeling to help pay for that, too. So he was everywhere from 1997 - 2005.
Once he became a doctor in California, he had sued to have his photos scrubbed from every website, had his videos pulled, etc., and threatened them with lawsuits if they published the photos again. I don't think he was that successful, as I have seen his photos around on the different gay sites. He's 52 today, and he has aged pretty well from what I found online (though on the heavier side).
Here's a link to his 'underwear shots' he did for a professional modeling job when he was 25, in college.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | December 17, 2024 11:57 AM |
James Buselli looked very familiar to me, and then I remembered from where.
When I was a kid, my neighbor subscribed to Playgirl. She would go on business trips and pay me $20 to water her plants and feed her fish while she was gone. I would sit in her living room for HOURS and read the Playgirls she just had sitting around. Finally, I got the nerve up to just steal one or two every time. If she noticed, she never said anything (Thank God.)
Anyways, there were always ads for softcore movies. Naked guys playing basketball and the like. I could never buy them, until a decade or more ago, I stumbled upon a guy on Etsy selling bootleg DVDs of many of them for cheap. I bought a whole bunch of them. Some are more "effective" than others, and one of them is called "Naked Webcam Weekend" starring one James Buselli. I guess he can't sue to get this one taken away. Interestingly enough (maybe) a guy from my pretty small hometown is also in it.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | December 17, 2024 12:42 PM |
Busselli was a favorite of mine. In 2004, I met a guy in my store who could've passed as his twin brother. We went out a few times for dinner as we were very interested in each other, yet nothing developed (he was very closeted - from a very religious conservative family). His body wasn't as developed as Busselli's, but damn he was very fine as he was already five or six years in the military (he was in his late 20s when I met him).

Fun Fact: I appeared in Playgirl in the October 1990 issue (Aerosmith's Steven Tyler on the cover) - it's a pictorial with me & a lady with a masquerade theme, so you can't see my face half-obscured by a party mask - I was 23 at the time - ah, youth!

Back in the mid-90s, this cute straight guy I was friends with at the time was interested in posing for the magazine. At 23, he had an incredible body as he worked out every day. Being a photography graduate, I told him I'd do his photos for him. I remember on July 4th weekend in 1995, we went to a vacant parking garage and did about two dozen photos - he really got into them. It was fun 'fluffing' him between shots (he knew I was gay and didn't mind me 'having fun' with him from time to time). We sent in the best half dozen or so, and waited to hear back from them.
Sure enough, he gets a call from the magazine and they're interested in putting his photo (taken by me) in the 'Real Men' contest and sent him a check for $200. They also wanted the both of us (him and his photographer) to come to their office in Manhattan, to 'explore' what would be available to us in the future (they really liked the photos I took in the parking garage, and wanted him to be a future centerfold). They told us to get back in touch with them once the photo ran in the 'real men' contest.
They ended up running the photo nearly six or seven months later. He was so excited to see himself in the magazine. I ended up calling the magazine to schedule that visit, but by then the magazine went through yet another round of hiring / firings and the guy who we spoke to earlier (a photo editor) was no longer there, and we no longer had a visit scheduled.
I'm happy to see my photo of him in the register, but I won't say who it is here on the forum. He used his real name, and I'm not certain he wants to be identified on a public forum like this.
He'll be 54 in a few weeks, and all I can say is he's one hell of a sexy 'silver fox'. He still has a muscled body and a beautiful, long dick.
