Awww! DL’s old thread about the Indian doctor/boyfriend finally comes to life!
It looks cute. I love a fun rom-com & will watch.
The Indian guy is also very handsome. ❤️

Karan is cute. How old is Jonathan's character supposed to be?

Groff seems too old for this role.

Groff LOOKS too old for this role.
And he's 39 so arguably IS too old for this role. Though 39yos do get married.

Groff is attractive but he annoys the fuck out of me.

Where is this film playing in theaters? It's not even listed in Mojo's top box office report for the weekend of April 11th. Of the 24 films listed #23 is A Complete Unknown which is only playing in 10 theaters, available on streaming services and has been out for over three months.

I'm totally done with Jonathan Groff. I don't want to see him anymore in anything. There are other actors that have reached my limit, many who are adult video performers, so he's not the only one.

Miss R17 has stated her boundaries ! But I concur wholeheartedly . Im sick of looking at Groff. Surely there are other gay actors out there .

Indian? Gay?... Yeah, that'll gross about $300,000 total.

Who has the streaming rights and when will it be available?

I saw it in a theater in Chicago yesterday, and I really enjoyed it. Just a sweet gay/Indian romcom. Perhaps a bit syrupy, but doesn't pretend to be anything more than it is. It was the best romcom I've seen in a long time.

[quote]executive producer Mindy Kaling
Mindy finally giving back to the community after years and years of featuring only cartoonish WeHo queens on her shows (which, thanks, Chris Schleicher).

Mindy Kaling is obsessed with white men.
She is completely self-loathing.
God forbid, she ever make a movie without a white man being the object of affection.
Then again, all of her kids were sired by white guys (mysterious sperm donors).
Pass.
I don't support self-loathing minorities.

Looks much better than I feared. But I can't stand Jonathan Groff, the deer caught in the headlights school of acting and that hurt potato face.

I saw this in NY last month and liked it (and Groff) way more than I thought I would.
By the way, one of the film's producers is Blake Lively's nemesis Justin Baldoni.

Anything is better than seeing Kaling in front of the camera.

The Bollywood Wedding ending of a clichéd multicultural South Asian story is the tell of a bad story.
