From what I see, the answer is no: Lucky has not had a shower since he got back from Africa.

LuLu is very much skating into annoying territory. Dante has zero chemistry with LuluBabe so that's not happening.

I don't know if the lackluster energy between Lulu and Dante is DZ playing out Dante's numbing grief, or if the two actors have no chemistry or if DZ is going the KeMo/Billy route and throwing scenes because he's not happy with the story line. Although, I don't think throwing scenes is DZ's style. He already learned his lesson leaving GH and then having to come back.

Lulu and Cody had more of a natural ease to them and pairing them up would create tension between Cody and Dante and drama.

I don't recall Jane and Cynthia ever having a scene together before this. But maybe they did and I missed it.

We've now seen that they pulled the Wyndemere set out of storage and reassembled it. They wouldn't have gone to that trouble if they weren't going to use it now more in the future

Interesting how they film out of sequence. In one scene, Trina has a sore throat and can barely get her lines out. In the next scene (with Kai), her voice is back to normal.

I always boycott GH when either Steve B or Jonathan J are on. Add that other all time stinky, the blub girl, Kim McCullough and "Robin's Potions" to my list.

I have never hated soap actors more than those three. I can't watch them without feeling ill with exasperation. Burton tops the list though, at least the other two have shown some acting talent.

And Benard, irritating as he is, is more like a club-foot or some other chronic illness. Not fun but we soldier on.

In the scenes were Lucas comes to rescue Ava and Ric who couldn't pay their bill, Ric was extremely annoyed that Lucas joined them at the table and ordered more food and champagne. So Ava-Ric is definitely a go.

R43 I still think JJ is pretty so I like watching him, esp the recent scenes with NuLulu - but I have a hard time stomaching Mo, though I was a big fan when he started. Knowing how he's not allowed other actors who might show him up to stay on GH really pisses me off. I hate Steve too, politics, religion, selling his juju juice to fans - he's a monster. Probably worse than Mo, but does he get people fired as well?

R44, I guess my real issue with the three I mentioned is that they have left several times, thus getting my hopes up that they are gone for good. Then viable characters played by talented actors are sacrificed to accommodate their conditions to return.

According to Billy Warlock working on GH meant appealing to the whims of both Burton and Bennard who were pretty much in control. Might still be true. The absence of Dex creates a void that Jason will step into. So much needs to change.

I've always found Mo repellent. Even more so when a while back a sycophant on X asked Mo how he handles any negative comments about him on X. He responded that he doesn't, he just re-tweets the negative comment so that his followers will get angry and go after the person for him (paraphrasing). What an asshole.

It made me understand why LW always jumps into negative conversations about her on X where she isn't tagged and GH isn't even tagged. The moment she jumps in, all her followers then see the comment and go on the attack for her just like loathsome Mo.

How is the studio even big enough to house the massive egos of the gruesome threesome?

Just my opinion, but I don't think Steve is an asshole in the way that Maurice is an asshole. I feel that Steve sits back and lets others be the loudmouths and take the public hits; he does his stuff at the negotiating table and doesn't make a big fuss over it after his deal is signed.

I don't think Steve is currently overtly being an asshole to others like he was back in the 90s/2000s. He has reined himself in in that regard. I do get a chuckle out of his wife publicly embarrassing him.

Repugnant Mo on the other hand has even laughed on his show about how awful he and Steve were back in the day. He says he's "better now". "Better" isn't reformed, it's just not as bad.

Steve's attitude has drawn comparisons to Eileen Fulton, who allegedly (elder gays might correct me if this is merely hearsay) had it written into her contract that Lisa Hughes couldn't have any daughters or granddaughters on ATWT? I know she eventually had a granddaughter, Lien Hughes.

Also, Susan Lucci wasn't happy about Kendall Hart nor Sarah Michelle Gellar- and she also went to the writers and suggested that they keep Bianca a child as long as possible, instead of Bianca being SORAS'ed, when Bianca was recast with Nathalie Paulding, after Gina Gallagher played Bianca. Bianca was originally slated to be a mini-Erica, involved in a triangle with Natalie and Trevor's son Tim, along with Maria Santos-Grey's youngest sister, Rosa.

*Lucci suggested that Bianca stay a child instead of an older teen prior to recasting with Nathalie Paulding, who was younger than both Gina Gallagher and Lacey Chabert, instead of recasting with an older actress. Lucci felt that Bianca was aging too rapidly at R84

I mentioned that more cast cuts were on the way, however, it's a little tricky providing spoilers sometimes because one, without a link it's sort of ignored or deemed untrue and two, it sometimes ruins the story for viewers. I wanted to mention Cyrus killing Sam so bad- Carmina spilling the beans showed how sometimes it's better to not say anything, for many fans were livid with her. Sasha being Holly and Robert's daughter is another one but someone here pretty much played it like a riddle, which was nice. GH isn't exactly subtle, so the manner in which Dex was stabbed and still alive was pretty much following the same pattern as Sam. There's mentions of some sort of shocker regarding Dex's funeral, which was also referenced in an exit interview he gave, plus the story is apparently "not over"

R83 Jake Webber was actually supposed to be a demented child upon his rescue from the Cassadine's. Do you recall how he was becoming a troublemaker, telling Danny that Liz knew something about Jason, which Sam overheard, during the holidays in 2015? Jean and Shelly were writing him as deranged. He was supposed to unleash a toxin from his thermos, programmed by Helena to kill residents of PC. He was also rumored to be a chimera, with his deceased twin inside of him being possibly Lucky's son, twins by different fathers. The network wasn't onboard with any of the ideas Jean wrote, so the entire story was nixed.

I just don't see Disney allowing any kid under 18 being written as evil.

Some thought it was refreshing when Y&R's Abby Newman's future stepson set a trap which made her trip down the stairs on her wedding day, killing her and Stitch's unborn child, for that was out of the realm of ABC/Disney

R84 Yes, Eileen Fulton (Lisa on ATWT) had that in her contract for most of the 70s. With rapid aging of kids it was easy for a woman in her late 30s to be playing a grandmother. She had it in her contract until the early 80s when she really WAS old enough to have grandkids. It became a brief controversy when Lisa's son Tom's wife Margo lost a baby (in the story) because fans thought it was because of Eileen.

Steve is a leathery slab of beef jerky, and he's 54 years old. He's definitely old enough for kids AND grandkids.

It is shocking how badly Steve has aged, but I guess he still makes GH fans wet. They aren't keeping him around and paying him what they're paying because he isn't bringing anything to the table. Hell, at least he showers.

R84, R102, If I remember correctly it was in WF’s contract that Lisa couldn’t be a grandmother — meaning no granddaughters or grandsons.

Margo had more than one miscarriage (I think) and I thought (at the time) that it was because of EF’s contract. I also remember thinking that Tom’s and Margo’s fertility issues were very similar to Ed’s and Maureen’s on GL.

Fulton had to come out and say she didn't have the clause when Margo miscarried in 86. She was getting death threats at the studio (!)

I still don't understand why Steve's return got everyone so wet. He's done little to nothing of note since returning.

Hobo Lucky and beef jerky Jason have both been a bust. Neither are worth whatever exorbitant amount they are being paid.

WTF, Sawandi doesn't need his help, he is a naturally talented actor and Mo is a bozo. One of Mo's tangents was about mentoring Steve when he first came on the show.

Sawandi's parents are from Trinidad. He started out break dancing as a teen, worked with Chris Brown. Sawandi recapped the plots of the movies and tv shows he's been in which was boring.

Ryan Lavery was introduced on AMC in January 1998 and within a few months, AMC became the Ryan Lavery Show. He seemed to be on every day in virtually every scene for 12-18 months.

AMC pulled back on being the Ryan Show once Josh Duhamel arrived in late 1999, but Cameron remained front and center throughout his run.

Since he hopped on a plane with nothing but the clothes on his back when escaping Sidwell's compound, seems like he could go to Wyndham's in Port Charles, or even a Target in Port Charles, and get clothes that look a bit more appropriate for Northern New York in winter and a bit more flattering on Jonathan Jackson.

The PCPD needs to hire some detectives pronto. Anna turns over the investigation of finding Valentin and Charlotte to gangster hitman Jason to free her up to investigate Dex's death. Valentin has likely left the country, so why is Anna and the PCPD even involved? Is Interpol no longer a thing? And why is she investigating Dex's death -- the autopsy isn't even completed so how can they say it was a crime? Is every heart attack viewed a potential murder?

So pleased to know that Laura takes a dim view of her police commissioner kidnap, detain, and threaten grievous bodily assault against city residents.

I am so sick of these teary-eyed women always blaming themselves for everything that is not their fault and yet shrugging off the egregious CRIMES that they have committed.

What a bizarre scene having Spinelli and Jason meet in his car to discuss Valentin.

GH doesn't have an HR person, and Liz hasn't contacted her union leader for some unknown reason.

He was even willing to cancel OLTL years prior in favor of adding DOOL to the ABC daytime lineup, when Sony were having issues with NBC. If AMC were able to stay on, Frank and Ron probably would've moved there, instead of moving to GH; Lorraine Broderick was there to write the ending- Frank actually wanted her to come head write GH when he first arrived.

Lois returned to Port Charles in October 2023, after 26 years away. Rena was only contracted to stay through Christmas, but then Frank kept her around through Chase and Brooklyn's wedding in May.

Tyler changed his stage name from Tyler Baker to Tyler Christopher at the request of Vanessa Marcil.

The two were dating at the time -- quite an accomplishment for a newbie with less than a year's time on the show to start dating one of the rising stars of the show. They were serious enough that they were talking marriage. May have even been engaged by that point.

Anyway, Vanessa didn't think that Vanessa Marcil Baker sounded like a good stage name, but thought that Vanessa Marcil Christopher did sound good. So, she convinced Tyler to change his stage name. At least, that's what was reported at the time.

Tyler and Vanessa broke up soon after Vanessa left the show in fall 1998. Soon after, Tyler started dating an actress who played a Brenda lookalike in a couple of episodes. Tyler and the actress kept dating and eventually married. That actress was named Eva Longoria.

R457 It's funny who can escape their soap past and become a bigger star. Tyler probably could have been a bigger star, but that's the price of being a working actor. Going back to a steady gig versus struggling to make ends meet, but I guess they could always bargain for a more flexible schedule upon return. Tyler also artificially pumped up his body with steroids and went a little ink crazy. That could have diminished his opportunities elsewhere.

The rumors of Lucky's surprise wife showing up don't even intrigue me. I just don't care for JJ's acting style or persona and his appearance is off-putting.

Jason is just dead weight at this point. Nothing about him has been intriguing for ages and never will be. There was a glimmer of hope with Britt but that got shot to hell by delusional LW who thinks she can recreate what Jason and OGCarly had, she can't.

Laura couldn't even be bothered to mention Nikolas when she was going on about having all her family together? Did she even add any funds to Nik's Commissary Account for the holidays?

That's what has made Ric's return so good -- we didn't have high expectations for him and he exceeded that. While the opposite was true of Jason and Luck's return.

Probably because we all know nothing will happen to him and we are stuck with Mo in perpetuity.

Like r477, I looked forward to the comfort of a long time familiar face on screen with Lucky's return. But it just hasn't panned out that way. No warm and fuzzy feeling. Also, his reintroduction in Africa went on way too long and lost momentum. There must have been a more expedient way to introduce the character of Isaiah and Holly's scheme with Sidwell.

I felt more warm and fuzzy with Lulu's return and she isn't even the OG actress.

I don't enjoy JJ's low-key, soft spoken acting. I'm not saying everyone should be chewing the scenery but show some energy. I don't care for Emma Samm's sedate acting either.

In conclusion: Greg Vaughan's Lucky would have looked better and acted more alive than JJ's hobo Lucky.

Note to the writers: a person being concerned about their daughter or loyal to their son does not eradicate the fact that they repeatedly engage in cold-blooded murder.

When they talk about "the Cassadines," who is left? Nicholas is in jail and Valentin is on the run. Who is back in Greece, naming Ace heir and taking away Ava's money? ALSO: are we to believe that Lulu had her passport with her when she went to Rice Park and then directly to the airport? And while she was in a coma, her passport didn't expire? How convenient. How many direct flights are there from Port Charles to Prague? And where does a woman who just woke up from a coma (and who just had surgery) get a tracking device (the one she dropped into her daughter's purse)?

Let's not forget that it took Lulu what, about two minutes, to get her feet to work again after four years on her back not using her legs. Can you imagine how much physical therapy it actually takes to get your leg muscles back? No, she was jetting off to the Czech Republic after about three weeks.

This could have been avoided -- there was no need for Brennan to say "yesterday." It served no plot purpose. If we were to count GH-days (as opposed to actual days), hasn't it been about four days since Lulu escaped from the rehab center?

I don't understand the uproar on social media over the Emma recast and personality makeover.

What would be the point of bringing her back to just be a sweet little wallflower? They had to add an edge to her to make it interesting. Plus we get to see Anna parent a college student which we didn't get to see with Anna and Robin. Whoever picked this nuEmma (Teschner?) did a good job. Like Nicholas Bechtel, OG Emma lost her cuteness and natural acting ability that often comes with childhood, she was awkward the last time she was on plus she's in college anyway.

I think the Charlotte actress has also lost the childhood magic and should be recast if they keep her around on a regular basis. But maybe she will decide to stay on the run with her Poppa and it won't be an issue. Maybe the loss of Charlotte will send a distraught Lulu seeking comfort from Cody?

Sascha's spawn till be a Scorpio/Quartermaine/Spencer child and, by adoption, a Corinthos. That's a significant legacy. Now, if only they could figure out who to make the baby a Hardy or a Brewer! Maybe Bobbie had a one night stand, not with John Durand, but with Phil Brewer! Or Steve Hardy!

I think making Emma a vixen is rubbing viewers the wrong way because she is the daughter of beloved Robin and well-liked Patrick, and the granddaughter of uber-spies Robert and Anna. Therefore, she's not expected to be the typical misbehaving college girl. Rather, we expect her to be doing biomedical research or saving whales. Of course, soaps need conflict but, more importantly, soap viewers need consistency. We don't like it when characters' personalities are changed just to move the plot (see: Nora Gannon has extra-marital sex because she's worried her husband Bo is suicidal). Writers should embrace the challenge of introducing drama within the universe of the show, including its characters. Put differently, we need them to be more imaginative (see: Robin and Casey the Alien) and inventive (see: Jennie Wolek gives back her baby rather than have a custody battle) instead of radically changing characters' personalities to tell an all-too-often-told, predictable tale.

Speaking of Tammy on GL. Having now seen Alexa Havins in action as Lulu, neither Stephanie Gatschet nor Jennifer Landon would have been right for the role, not even a little bit. They made the right call hiring Alexa.

It doesn’t always have to be romantic relationships that drive story (or even just family ties): there can be all kinds of connections that drive story without resorting to cliche tropes.

As far as recasts go, nuEmma was pretty seamless. It was hard to tell if this wasn't the original child actor grown up.

Josslyn's at the age where she needs an rival to spar with. We're only a few years from them turning the character into a Frau like they did with Lulu and Maxie and only worrying about children.

I see they gave JJ a flea dip before his photoshoot, but his hair still looks greasy.

Oh I definitely prefer Ryan Carnes but I'm also realizing Van's only crime is he's not Ryan. He's a decent enough actor, holding his own with the likes of Maura, not coming off as green or inexperienced.

Ham learned enough tricks on Oakdale to hit his mark and play an intention or an attitude. Carnes can convey so much just by his presence.

If you watch Ham's early stuff on ATWT, he was just SOOOOOO dramatic! MOTHER!

I hope he doesn't read this; it's all subjective but there are some actors who play attitude and belt out their lines and then, there are real actors.

There are fans who swear up and down that Laura's their favorite Carly, their favorite actress etc. Personally, I 'see' the acting in players like her and Van. I would rather the character not be around than be on the canvas with the wrong performer.

GH lucked out with the actor who plays Isaiah. He's a natural and so easy on the eyes....they should do much more with him. Also, the actress who plays Molly who is not only a good actress but has such great chemistry with her dad Ric...it's like they've been acting together for years. And, speaking of Ric, his downplayed return has been so much more energizing to the show than Jason or Lucky.

Nice to see Hearst get some raves in the press; his return really has been the best. They didn't need to bring Lucky or Jason back, honestly.

GH was able to give JK a meaty storyline during the actors strike, but now he's getting other acting roles and scheduling around him is too much of a hassle for the show.

JPS now has daddy's money and can spend his days in Oregon and not repeating lines in a CA warehouse.
