I loved their opening theme, although season 1 with the old pictures sucked.

I knew as a kid that this show was terrible and I rarely watched it as well as Full House and many other family sitcoms. Just completely mindless and dumb.

It was bad but I watched the first few seasons. I can't remember what it aired before or after (Who's The Boss? maybe) but as kids we would watch both.

At batshit as he is now, Kirk is more attractive with facial hair. I never got the hype over him being a sex symbol. He had poodle hair at one point.

Just the Ten of Us, the spinoff of this show, is a million times better.

Growing Pains was Leonardo Dicaprio's first big acting gig. They brought him in because Jeremy Miller, who played the youngest son, turned into an ugly little troll when he hit his teens and they needed a cute teen for heartthrob bait for the girls who watched the show. Kirk Cameron was in his early 20s by then and aging out of teen heartthrob status.

I discovered Growing Pains on cable.

I remember it, but I don’t recall the dialog or humor other than Kirk’s character calling Tracy’s character fat all the time.

Which led, it is claimed, to Tracey Gold's eating disorder.

Cameron is just a shit every way you look at it.

Kirk would say to Tracey "your people killed my Lord and Savior!"

I always perceived Rod and Todd Flanders from “The Simpsons” to be patterned on the looks and subsequent piety of Kirk Cameron.

Fuck, this show was unwatchable. Kirk Cameron was very cute, though, and Alan Thicke had a majestically hairy chest.

I had no idea that Boner committed suicide. He sounds like the type of person who was so empathetic that the human misery he witnessed consumed him. He would have turned 56 this year. RIP

There was nothing ugly about Jeremy Miller as he got older.
