Non-human intelligence is real, world powers have not only caught UFO's, but have been trying to reverse engineer them, the US has non-human bodies in some black project military base!!
I haven’t slept all month just thinking about the ramifications of all this.
I’m trying to be the contrarian skeptic I usually am, but something about this case is making it hard for me.

I wonder what the purpose of the government is in keeping this all a secret. What do they think would happen if the public found out about it? How can it really be such a secret, if so many people know about it?

I’ve seen one, you’re not crazy and you have every right to feel weird about it.
I would suggest reading Jacques Vallee’s work if you haven’t already. This is a complicated topic that often gets diluted by insane people and grifters like Steven Greer and Jeremy Corbell. Vallee really is a light in the dark in that regard.
He essentially lays out how the modern phenomenon of UFOs / cryptid encounters can be traced back all the way to ancient times. What we would call aliens medieval peasants would call fairies. Old court records of witches who claimed to have met the devil in the woods at night line up with modern Bigfoot encounter stories. I’m generalizing but you get the point.
Jacques Vallee, John Mack, John Keel, Jeff Kripal, Josh Cutchin, Mircea Eliade, are all good authors to consider looking into. Just stay away from the UFO people who clearly don’t have critical thinking skills.

Funny how they're always seen around airbases; especially those that are secretive.
It's pretty clear when people see what they think are UFOs they're witnessing experimental technology being tested. I mean, look at Stealth Bombers. They look bizarre on clear photos, but imagine how they'd have looked to the average bystander when they were being tested and weren't known about.
The government's only too happy for people to believe they're little green men because it creates a smokescreen.

Nope. He wrote a book pushing the Trinity hoax. Either his critical thinking skills are so poor he got suckered by some grifters, or he knew they were lying and promoted it anyway. Vallee has worked for years with intelligence agency figures like Hal Pudoff, and they are all heavily invested financially in promoting this bullshit, which is self perpetuating.

After decades of speculation, the mystery of the Paulding Light in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula was finally solved in an astonishing revelation by NASA. For years, the glowing orb of light had been dismissed as car headlights or electrical interference, but a groundbreaking study confirmed it as evidence of UFO activity. Using advanced drone technology and electromagnetic field sensors, researchers tracked the light to its source: an object hovering silently just beyond the dense pine forest. The craft, metallic and disc-shaped, emitted patterns of light matching the Paulding Light’s signature glow. NASA scientists suggested the phenomenon was a form of extraterrestrial signaling, its purpose still unknown. The discovery left locals stunned and transformed the sleepy town of Paulding into a global hotspot for UFO enthusiasts and scientists alike.

By his account, demons appear as aliens because they “are the kind of godlike beings that a secular society—one in which science and technology hold supreme authority—can believe in when they have discarded the God of the Bible”

It seems obvious when you look at ancient civilizations and all of them seem to have gods and look heaven ward and record phenomena of some kind. And look at the Egyptians. It seems their entire civilization worshipped the afterlife as they called it. And some of their "gods" looked like fucking aliens. Lately I have felt compelled to look at the night sky around midnight and just look at the various constellations and the planets t hat are visible and I feel like it is more than possible, it is probable. I also believe they have a lot more in common with the Alien franchise than they do with E.T.

While it is almost certain that intelligent life existed, existed, or will exist elsewhere in the Cosmos, the sheer vastness of time and space make it practically impossible that they are visiting us.
Dismissing the tiny slice of Earth history which we humans have been sentient, the longest living creatures still have existence windows so narrow that the chance that overlap occurs in which two are extant, close enough together to meet, and on a similar enough intelligence level to recognize one another as sentient life is infinitesimally small.

I think they visited Earth a lonnnng time ago and left us here. They check on us once in a while and are getting so disgusted with us they have lost interest. The planet is dying. We have the capacity to save it but we lack the will.

Unidentified means we don’t know. The claim of extraterrestrial requires extraordinary evidence. To date, that has not been presented.

R131 hahaha. “We have forty humans coming over, and a $60 budget! What do we do?”
I’ll tell you what we do, we serve those little bastards last night’s special. Maybe they like goulash, who can tell? Either way, it’s the best food in Brewster.

The thought that aliens are presenting hole scares the ever-luvin' shit out of a lot of people. I can imagine why, apart from the usual angst we see here. Nevertheless, I do foresee a day when we'll be discussing whether Zorg's hung or whether it drains its pasta or not. Make peace with the new reality however you may, but it's happening.

In response to the (illegal) aliens from out space, Trump is imposing a 30 per cent tariff on goods imported from the Crab Nebula.

What would they want from us? If they have the technology to travel to Earth (and go unnoticed) then their intellect compared with ours would be like comparing Mount Everest to a grain of salt. We would be insignificant to them. More insignificant than the ants are to us. Probably wouldn't even acknowledge out existence

[quote]R139: What would they want from us?
Our planetary resources - water, heavy elements, organic matter, all of which are relatively rare in the vast reaches of space. If someone undertook the extraordinary effort of coming here, you can bet the visit would not be benign. (Stephen Hawking's take on the issue. His advice? We should pipe the fuck down and not respond to hails from outer space.)
Your point about their greater advancement reinforces that advice. It has often been observed that, from a historic standpoint, whenever a more advanced civilization contacts a lesser one, it's never been beneficial to the latter.
But I do not believe that contact between us and extraterrestrials has occurred. (My own take is at R72.) There's been no reliable evidence of it.

It's being kept secret because it completely negates Christianity and many other religions. Suicide rates, especially among Americans, would be well into the double digits of percentage of the population.

If they want/need our water or air they are too late; we've ruined both.
If they like plastic goo and toxic sludge, we are the one stop shopping stop.

R140 If they want water and all the other stuff you mentioned, why not just kill is all, since we are destroying all those things for them. Killings us would be like a child play for them

The "They're not revealing it because of religion" reason has never made sense to me. Religion adapts all the time. Christianity has adapted to countless things. Aliens suddenly existing will not lead to suicides or rioting by religious people en masse. Aliens will just be another part of God's creation to them. Even if the aliens were atheists (who knows? They could be believers in their own weird cult), it wouldn't change a thing for the believers.
If knowledge of aliens is being hidden (and I don't think it is, sorry), it's for some other reason.

Pure conjecture, of course, and contrary to a statement upthread, I would think it is *they* and not *we*who are the missing link, the long lost connection between homo sapiens and apes.
They have monitored their Earthly progeny through the ages; could it be that they intervene now as we have the tools by which to annihilate ourselves?
Who's your daddy?👽

I had an encounter. It was a weeknight after work. The blender suddenly roared to life unprovoked, sending my dog into a panic. The toaster popped. The kitchen lights flickered out, and through the window, I saw what looked like a metallic fortune cookie, glowing slightly green, floating over the patio. It pulsed silently, casting fluid shadows. Then, just as suddenly, it was gone. Blender silent, toaster dead, and me questioning if I’d lost my mind or witnessed something otherworldly.
