I watched several telenovelas when I was learning Spanish about 20 years ago. I particularly remember "La Usurpadora" and "Mi Destino Eres Tu" starring beautiful Jaime Camil. There was one called "Aguamarina" which had a really great thick-set actor, don't know his name, but I loved his butt (see pic).

Andres Garcia at r24 was the original Telenovela hunk, the GOAT.
How he never made the transition over to US TV stardom is beyond me. I wonder if he was just too lazy to learn English? Anyway, he deserves his own thread with lots and lots of photos.

R34 He died last year. The obituary at Deadline mentions hepatic cirrhosis as the cause of dearh; other Spanish websites indicate he had a longtime problem with alcohol and drugs, so that may have impacted his career.
