A Man On The Inside - Netflix comedy series starring Ted Danson and DL fave Sally Struthers

I watched the first two episodes. It's ok, not as good as the documentary it's based on. Sally Struthers is very funny in it. Glad she's getting tv work rather than summer stock.

I absolutely loved this show — maybe because I watched on a plane.

I found it to be pretty joyful and I really liked the cast (especially Sally Struthers, Mary!).

It should be on a regular network. It's not worthy to have to pay for it streaming.

Sally Struthers is a DL fave? Good for her but all I remember is DL pounding her for her weight gain and charity commercials. Who's in charge of making and breaking DL 'faves?'

At first I thought it was Jacki Weaver who can look a lot like Struthers

r8 It's interesting to note that half the cast of that show is no longer with us. I guess it wouldn't have lasted long even if it had been renewed.

I started watching it yesterday. It's cute and funny, but it also has a melancholy air about it. I barely recognized Susan Ruttan. Her character's story is the saddest. I used to have a crush on John Getz, the guy who plays Sally Struther's beau. He was a sexy daddy back in his younger days.

The side story with Danson's daughter and her family doesn't really seem to add much, though. They should've left that on the cutting room floor. And I'm really distracted by the daughter's bad hairdo.
