I noticed she listed their Westport, CT home for sale just weeks before he died. I wonder if it ever sold ?

If your husband dies in August it's gauche to hawk your Williams-Sonoma tableware for the holidays. She should at least wait until Easter.

R15 Looks like they're getting rid of her stuff from the past few years. The blue floral has been around for a while now. I guess she didn't sign off on anything new this year.

R21 She doesn't want to rest. She has said in just about every interview she loves keeping busy, loves dipping into new projects, loves working for St Jude's - hates 'doing nothing'. Even on her vacations and travels - she has to have a full itinerary, not lay by a pool some where. She insists this keeps her young and healthy.

I wonder how Mr. Donahue (who seemed rather mild mannered) managed to bear her when she was in raging-bitch-mode with the staff, contractors, etc.

Did he just manage to phase that out? Or did she hold back on her shrill harpy tendencies until he was away at work?

I think he enjoyed it. He seemed very passive - especially to strong women. She did what he didn't have the balls to do to the household staff, and I think he loved it.

Marlo's been to paradise, but she's never been to HER.

I can barely find the energy to do stuff at barely sixty, I can't imagine myself in another twenty-seven years!

I will be happy to sit by a pool and do nothing! Waiting for death can fill my days!
