R18, Tesla sales have already tanked, and Hertz flooded the market with 80,000 Teslas it discontinued because they had double the rear-end collision rate versus ICE vehicles, and also because Uber drivers were the ones who kept wrecking them. You could buy one for about $24K after that.

That said: Tesla is pretty much fucked, even if its stock bulls are doing their usual ridiculousness. They have zero new product in the pipeline, aside from the "Cybercab" that will never, ever, EVER launch by 2026. (Or even 2036, if they're serious about not including literally any steering wheel or brakes.) They're getting particularly fucked in China, now that its domestic EVs far exceed Tesla's (and at a far lower price), and I'll just hazard a guess Elon didn't take his China sales into consideration when he decided to start fellating Trump every other hour.

I *really* wish it was possible to do a long-term short, because Tesla IS going down. It's merely a question of when. (Even if Trump had lost, the major automakers – non-Chinese, that is – have now caught up to Tesla in terms of range and price.)

All of R20 is true but it's also true that Teslas are made in the US and therefore won't be subject to Trump's tariffs.
