RIP
What does "died unexpectedly" mean for a 39 year old man? Rest in peace. I feel like so many people are dying too young every day.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | November 6, 2024 2:51 AM |
Cause of death is unmentioned
by Anonymous | reply 2 | November 6, 2024 2:58 AM |
If he’s at the LA county morgue then it will come out soon enough.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | November 6, 2024 3:04 AM |
Was he gay?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | November 6, 2024 12:35 PM |
I always assume suicide or fentanyl, R1.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | November 6, 2024 12:39 PM |
He doesn't have to live through the second Trump regime.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | November 6, 2024 1:50 PM |
This really saddened me since I did watch him nightly. He just started as a CBS anchor last year. I don't know what happened but he was on the air just a few days ago. Pretty shocking.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | November 6, 2024 2:12 PM |
Uh-oh.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | November 6, 2024 3:17 PM |
[quote] What does "died unexpectedly" mean for a 39 year old man?
Usually it means he wasn’t ill nor had a terminal disease, hence it was unexpected.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | November 6, 2024 5:07 PM |
Was there a disco ball and massage bench found at the site of death?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | November 6, 2024 11:33 PM |
I have never heard of this person.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | November 7, 2024 12:24 AM |
He was a local anchor in LA.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | November 7, 2024 1:10 AM |
Mister Fister: SERIAL KILLER!
by Anonymous | reply 13 | November 7, 2024 1:10 AM |
I condole him.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | November 7, 2024 1:19 AM |
Very sad. Based on the language they used I'm guessing it was an overdose or suicide.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | November 7, 2024 1:54 AM |
They didn’t use any language…
by Anonymous | reply 16 | November 7, 2024 2:12 AM |
r10, am I terrible that I had the very same thought?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | November 7, 2024 3:58 AM |
R16 My point the general unspecific language used, and mostly what they didn't say. It wasn't a car accident or a heart attack or cancer. The two most obvious COD are likely overdose or suicide.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | November 7, 2024 1:06 PM |
Or a fisting mishap.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | November 7, 2024 3:11 PM |
R13, we need Miss Marple or Jessica on this, stat!
by Anonymous | reply 20 | November 7, 2024 3:25 PM |
Awww, that’s a shame.
He was so good in those Lethal Weapon movies.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | November 7, 2024 3:49 PM |
I'm getting too old for this shit.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | November 7, 2024 7:44 PM |
R3 Right, and a case file has now been opened at the L.A. Medical Examiner's website. Stay tuned.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | November 8, 2024 2:39 AM |
Too bad, he was handsome.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | November 8, 2024 3:21 AM |
Nearly forty, handsome, successful, even "ripped." Yet even a man like this couldn't find the right woman. So sad.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | November 8, 2024 3:28 AM |
Speculation that it may have been complications from long COVID. He had a severe case of COVID and missed four months of work.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | November 9, 2024 11:09 AM |
The reddit link is a circle jerk of three posters using their mothers as a reference for long covid. Their mothers are alive.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | November 9, 2024 11:18 AM |
He was recently on air shortly before his death and looked healthy.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | November 9, 2024 2:47 PM |
Never name your kid Chauncy, not for any reason.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | November 9, 2024 3:32 PM |
RIP.
he was in his prime...
by Anonymous | reply 30 | November 9, 2024 3:43 PM |
r30. Was his meat prime as well?
by Anonymous | reply 31 | November 9, 2024 4:14 PM |
I would’ve ate his ass.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | November 9, 2024 5:54 PM |
Damn he was jacked.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | November 9, 2024 7:25 PM |

I love the look of natural musculature.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | November 9, 2024 8:09 PM |
Of course, Reddit has the gay rumors about him.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | December 8, 2024 5:34 PM |
Nice looking man.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | December 8, 2024 5:37 PM |
He was gorgeous
by Anonymous | reply 40 | December 8, 2024 5:41 PM |
Yeah, well. No one dies of being gay anymore. Reddit offers a worse experience than datalounge and Twitter combined.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | December 8, 2024 6:02 PM |
That's a serious rack. He must have spent a lot of time in the gym.
I mean, genetics help, but those are spectacular. Almost too big and almost too perfect.
RIP

Many comments in that Reddit thread are saying he hung himself in his home.

by Anonymous | reply 44 | December 8, 2024 6:08 PM |
R1 Today people live longer then they ever did.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | December 8, 2024 6:10 PM |
Just about every other news anchor on CBS is gay I don't see why that would be an issue.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | December 8, 2024 6:14 PM |
His female co-anchor wrote that she hopes he “has finally found peace.” That’s a fairly strong implication that he committed suicide, or overdosed.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | December 8, 2024 6:15 PM |
He probably suffered from depression.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | December 8, 2024 6:16 PM |
Jab killed him. A lot of people especially in entertainment are shot to die. This is way all these people are dying.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | December 8, 2024 6:22 PM |
[quote] Just about every other news anchor on CBS is gay I don't see why that would be an issue.
That Reddit thread also mentioned that he came from a very conservative Christian household in Alabama, and he was about to be outed by someone.
And he couldn't take it.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | December 8, 2024 6:24 PM |
"shot to die"
"This is way"

by Anonymous | reply 51 | December 8, 2024 6:24 PM |
Finally finding peace? And that muscular? I would think that people with clinical depression let themselves physically go. They omit hygiene routines, don't eat well, turn physically inactive. His physique on his Instagram wouldn't support that. In fact, I find his physique so overdeveloped that I initially thought he died of steroid abuse. Right now I'm assuming bipolar disorder.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | December 8, 2024 6:24 PM |
Long dick disorder!

Echoing R57, the hall of Dead Gay Porn Stars is long and it is full of men who had hot bods not too long before their deaths from drugs, or ‘roids/drugs, or suicide.

I need to make it known that I HATE the name Chauncey
by Anonymous | reply 59 | December 8, 2024 8:10 PM |
Long Covid, you were supposed to take Danny - not Chauncy!

The toxicology report is back. He died from acute intoxication by the combined effects of chloroethane and methamphetamine.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | February 19, 2025 8:36 PM |
What's chloroethane?
by Anonymous | reply 62 | February 19, 2025 8:45 PM |
What does that mean?
by Anonymous | reply 63 | February 19, 2025 8:46 PM |
It means he was a druggie.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | February 19, 2025 8:58 PM |
Chloroethane is a recreational inhalant drug.
Methamphetamine is a potent central nervous system (CNS) stimulant that is mainly used as a recreational or performance-enhancing drug.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | February 19, 2025 9:00 PM |
This caught Susan Dey by surprise. She will not be commenting at this time.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | February 19, 2025 9:01 PM |
I feel bad when media feels the need to publish these autopsy results. Obviously his family should know the reasons. but, like, the guy is dead. Not everyone needs to know the scandal.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | February 19, 2025 9:05 PM |
No. They need to post cause of death ESPECIALLY when it's drug related. Maybe it'll help save some other moron with a drug problem.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | February 19, 2025 9:13 PM |
R67 In Los Angeles County, medical examiner reports are public information. If the media didn't do it, someone else would. Anyone can go to the county website and pull it up.

by Anonymous | reply 70 | February 19, 2025 9:19 PM |
With those two drugs, he was a gay for sure.
But why would that combination kill him? Was his just doing loads of it? Was he injecting?
by Anonymous | reply 71 | February 19, 2025 9:21 PM |
Was he PNPing?

Methy bottom!
by Anonymous | reply 76 | February 19, 2025 9:46 PM |
Same as what killed Houston councilman, Larry Green.
I think he was a single black male as well. One obit only mentioned a brother and a cousin.
The article says this about Chloroethane:
[quote} ... is an organic solvent that is found in aerosol (spray can) preparations. It has been used as a solvent, refrigerant, local anesthetic and in the manufacture of various other chemical compounds. It is sold in spray cans as a "cleaning solvent."
by Anonymous | reply 77 | February 19, 2025 10:07 PM |
Does he know that other handsome colored man Jonathan from the colonial Penn Life final expense insurance commercials?
by Anonymous | reply 78 | February 19, 2025 10:15 PM |
^ I wonder if Glover knew Green?
When he joined KCAL-9 Los Angeles in September 2023, reports said he came from Houston where he had worked at KTRK:
[quote] Glover, who has been an anchor at KTRK, the ABC-owned station in Houston for the last eight years, will co-anchor “KCAL News on CBS Los Angeles” beginning Oct. 2 at 5 and 11 p.m. He will also co-anchor the 8 and 10 p.m. newscasts on KCAL.
by Anonymous | reply 79 | February 19, 2025 10:17 PM |
What is the appeal of consuming an ingredient otherwise intended for use in aerosol cans and cleaning solvents?
by Anonymous | reply 80 | February 19, 2025 10:34 PM |
Quite big tits.

I've been recently watching David Muir on the news each evening. He's gotten better, not the fluff pieces anymore, he's awake now. He stood up to Trump at the debate and I can tell he doesn't have a favorable view toward him. Go David, keep up the good work.
by Anonymous | reply 84 | February 20, 2025 3:23 AM |
Who was he biottoming for while huffing and using meth? Sure sounds like PNP fatality. See article from researchers from 11 years ago about Chloroethane use among men who have sex with men.
by Anonymous | reply 85 | February 20, 2025 3:48 AM |
Chloroethane is Maximum Impact. It has several niche medical uses. Its original medical use was as a general anesthetic. But it has a narrow therapeutic range, which means only a little bit more than it takes to put you under will kill you.

[quote] It was this passion as a true Southern gentleman that inspired Chauncy to create a mentorship program while working for WDIV in Detroit. After witnessing a teenager die on the streets, he started "The Chauncy Glover Project" as a hands-on, extensive mentoring program that helped transform teenage boys into upstanding gentlemen. The program focuses on dressing for success, manhood, etiquette, college readiness, tutoring, public speaking, community service and more. The CGP Gents and Young Gents are 7-12th graders who Chauncy and other mentors met with twice a month for empowerment sessions and enrichment outings. Chauncy relocated the program to Houston after he moved there to anchor at KTRK. CGP has proudly sent more than 350 boys of color to college and has mentored more than 1,000 young men.

This is interesting. The SF Aids Foundation is warning against ethyl chloride poppers, saying they're on the rise.
Yes, our dear Chauncy probably had a fist or two up his glover when it happened, so I'm sure he went happy.
