Kamala's supposed to appear tonight, but I don't know how they're going to get around the Equal Time rule. Is Trump going to pop in, too? If he does keep him away from any and all unsuspecting microphones.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | November 3, 2024 2:47 AM |
I hope the Chappell Roan brat will be snubbed by Kamala.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | November 3, 2024 2:47 AM |
[quote] Kamala's supposed to appear tonight, but I don't know how they're going to get around the Equal Time rule.
It's a comedic appearance, so there's no need for the Equal Time rule to apply.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | November 3, 2024 3:10 AM |
Trump already hosted SNL. Doesn't compare.
I want Joe to show up and kick the shit out of Carvey.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | November 3, 2024 3:17 AM |
Here R3, this if from 2015 when Trump hosted: “Saturday Night Live” is not an interview show, but a sketch comedy show that frequently skewers current events, so the bar may be a tad higher for it to earn the exemption."
Trump loves to bitch and call foul so I'm assuming he'll whine about her appearance. I believe he can request ad time in local markets to offset her cameo time on SNL tonight.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | November 3, 2024 3:21 AM |
They should prosthetics on Chloe Fineman's face to make her look more mannish when she's playing Kuntlan Collins.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | November 3, 2024 3:31 AM |
"The last time I hated a mic this much I tried to have him killed." LOL.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | November 3, 2024 3:32 AM |
I was watching Trump speaking at his event earlier, on CPAN. HE doesn’t need to appear on here tonight, actually. Nobody could make up the shit coming out of his mouth tonight—embarrassing and scary that this clown might become leader of our country again.

I just love Dana Carvey as Joe Biden.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | November 3, 2024 3:36 AM |
cool intro
by Anonymous | reply 11 | November 3, 2024 3:36 AM |
I'm in love with this woman!
by Anonymous | reply 12 | November 3, 2024 3:39 AM |
Kamala hit the mark. Full of good cheer, honestly.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | November 3, 2024 3:39 AM |
Kamala has lightened her hair or got highlights.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | November 3, 2024 3:39 AM |
That was cute, and Kamala came off wonderfully. She was radiant.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | November 3, 2024 3:39 AM |
Kamala was magnificent and is far prettier than Maya.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | November 3, 2024 3:40 AM |
Kamala looks so pretty and joyful in that skit.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | November 3, 2024 3:40 AM |
Fantastic intro! Kamala did great.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | November 3, 2024 3:40 AM |
This might sound weird, but I think Maya wears makeup to make her skin look darker when playing Kamala
by Anonymous | reply 19 | November 3, 2024 3:41 AM |
What R14 and R15 said. Fingers-crossed it’s infectious next Tuesday. Our country really needs a return to a focus on positivity, and not going back to one about orange anger, revenge, screaming and tackiness. 🙏🏼
by Anonymous | reply 20 | November 3, 2024 3:42 AM |
Who told John Mulaney he was funny?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | November 3, 2024 3:42 AM |
Mulaney with the dad jokes is boring
by Anonymous | reply 22 | November 3, 2024 3:43 AM |
His mom, probably.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | November 3, 2024 3:43 AM |
John Mulaney looks like shit.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | November 3, 2024 3:44 AM |
I didn't know he and Olivia Munn were married.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | November 3, 2024 3:45 AM |
Did Mick Jagger eat him tonight for supper?
Can we stop him from talking about his kids, wife and family somehow?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | November 3, 2024 3:45 AM |
Mulaney used to be funny
by Anonymous | reply 27 | November 3, 2024 3:45 AM |
Kamala is a good sport.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | November 3, 2024 3:47 AM |
Mulaney SUCKED!
by Anonymous | reply 29 | November 3, 2024 3:48 AM |
They must pay extra salary to the in-house musician with the mad-scientist gray afro and the Morticia Adams one behind him, to appear amused by the guest hosts’ unfunny monologue jokes each week.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | November 3, 2024 3:49 AM |
I fucking hate Andy Fucking Samberg with the heat of ten bilion galaxies.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | November 3, 2024 3:50 AM |
Mulaney's hosted episodes used to be the highlights of the season.
But I don't have high hopes. His last one was weak and full of retreads, and that monologue was poor.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | November 3, 2024 3:51 AM |
How original another game show skit
by Anonymous | reply 33 | November 3, 2024 3:51 AM |
lol Tim Kaine
by Anonymous | reply 34 | November 3, 2024 3:53 AM |
Tim Kaine. Remember how hyper he was as opposed to Pence during the debate?
by Anonymous | reply 35 | November 3, 2024 3:53 AM |
Whewww…thank goodness for that plutonium-made, indestructible gameshow-skit set that’s never dismantled in between episodes ever!
by Anonymous | reply 36 | November 3, 2024 3:53 AM |
Milaney’s like a Caucasian Bowen.

The Beppo skit is pretty good.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | November 3, 2024 4:02 AM |
I would like to Beppo stuffed animal.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | November 3, 2024 4:03 AM |
I did have to laugh when Tim Kaine walked out.
As far as game show skits goes, that was a good one.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | November 3, 2024 4:04 AM |
Beppo seemed like a lot of production for not much of a laugh.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | November 3, 2024 4:04 AM |
Going. On. Too. Long, learn to better edit potentially funnier skits!!
by Anonymous | reply 48 | November 3, 2024 4:04 AM |
I want Andy Samberg’s dick in my box.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | November 3, 2024 4:05 AM |
I give Tim Kaine a lot of credit for agreeing to that skit.

I don't know if I like the Jason Bateman face on Mulaney.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | November 3, 2024 4:05 AM |
I hate this commercial for the iPhone16. It's the father's birthday and the wife forgot. They make the wife look like a sociopath. What demo are they trying to appeal to?

by Anonymous | reply 57 | November 3, 2024 4:09 AM |
Mulaney has some puffy eyes
by Anonymous | reply 58 | November 3, 2024 4:09 AM |
Kenan should be banned from singing.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | November 3, 2024 4:10 AM |
Does this guy always play a Latino?
by Anonymous | reply 60 | November 3, 2024 4:10 AM |
Rehashing the old Mulvaney LaGuardia skit. So lame.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | November 3, 2024 4:11 AM |
Kenan should be banned from show business.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | November 3, 2024 4:11 AM |
Port Authority Milk is nowhere near as the Sushi episode or the Lobster episodes
by Anonymous | reply 63 | November 3, 2024 4:11 AM |
Everything on Mulaney is puffy. He looks barely awake.
He's drinking heavily.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | November 3, 2024 4:12 AM |
The audio is terrible. It may not be a bad thing.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | November 3, 2024 4:12 AM |
This is like a bad grade school play
by Anonymous | reply 66 | November 3, 2024 4:13 AM |
They should have known when to say when on the musical sketches. The last two were sad diminishing returns.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | November 3, 2024 4:15 AM |
I enjoyed the singing skit. He threw everything in there.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | November 3, 2024 4:15 AM |
I liked the Mulaney white guy doing the Cha Cha Slide with his black girlfriend's family sketch, wonder if they will do that again?
by Anonymous | reply 69 | November 3, 2024 4:17 AM |
I think it is official that Mulaney has lost his mojo.
Sad that he has gone. post-funny..
by Anonymous | reply 70 | November 3, 2024 4:17 AM |
Chappell Roan looks like a Drag Race contestant.
by Anonymous | reply 71 | November 3, 2024 4:18 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 73 | November 3, 2024 4:20 AM |
Mulaney has some heavy 1980s style nasolabial folds.
Booze or smokes?
by Anonymous | reply 74 | November 3, 2024 4:20 AM |
I still like Mulaney.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | November 3, 2024 4:20 AM |

Probably both.

She has referred to herself as a drag queen. I like her.

by Anonymous | reply 84 | November 3, 2024 4:36 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 85 | November 3, 2024 4:37 AM |
LOVED Alyssa on Update. She made me laugh just sitting there.
by Anonymous | reply 86 | November 3, 2024 4:37 AM |
I love when they let Marcello loose. :D
by Anonymous | reply 87 | November 3, 2024 4:38 AM |
Mulaney is looking worse and worse as the show goes on.
by Anonymous | reply 88 | November 3, 2024 4:42 AM |
I thought Reagan got rid of equal time.
by Anonymous | reply 89 | November 3, 2024 4:43 AM |
Sadly, and not entirely oddly, Keenan’s Little Richard seems to be the comic highlight of tonight’s episode.
by Anonymous | reply 90 | November 3, 2024 4:46 AM |
This 2nd song is pretty awful.
by Anonymous | reply 91 | November 3, 2024 4:52 AM |
I like Chappell Roan.
I like a big booty!
by Anonymous | reply 92 | November 3, 2024 4:52 AM |
I don't understand one iota of Chappell Roan's appeal.
by Anonymous | reply 93 | November 3, 2024 4:52 AM |
Roan's one of us? Throw her back.
by Anonymous | reply 94 | November 3, 2024 4:54 AM |

No R89, equal-time rule is still in effect.
by Anonymous | reply 96 | November 3, 2024 4:58 AM |
was there no group ending?
by Anonymous | reply 97 | November 3, 2024 5:01 AM |
For me the ending was a picture of Mulaney in a dog costume
by Anonymous | reply 98 | November 3, 2024 5:01 AM |
love the Teri Garr tribute
by Anonymous | reply 99 | November 3, 2024 5:02 AM |
oh here's the ending
by Anonymous | reply 100 | November 3, 2024 5:02 AM |
On the West Coast it went a couple of minutes long but there was a traditional ending.
by Anonymous | reply 101 | November 3, 2024 5:03 AM |
This political ad with "Dr. Sharon" her vocal fry reminds me of an SNL parody ad.
No, R97, R98, they signed off as they always do.
by Anonymous | reply 102 | November 3, 2024 5:03 AM |
No, there was a traditional group goodnights. It was quite long.
Kaine came out with the cast.
by Anonymous | reply 103 | November 3, 2024 5:03 AM |
On Peacock, they cut right after Mulaney said his thank yous.
by Anonymous | reply 104 | November 3, 2024 5:07 AM |
No H-O-T-T-O-G-O?!
by Anonymous | reply 105 | November 3, 2024 5:07 AM |
Mulaney is morphing into Jason Bateman without the sex appeal.
Disappointing. .
by Anonymous | reply 106 | November 3, 2024 5:10 AM |
Kamala was the highlight of the show, I should have turned it off after the opening sketch
by Anonymous | reply 107 | November 3, 2024 5:13 AM |
The SNL player Michael Longfellow who played the What’s That Name game show host is boring and unappealing as fuck and they use him quite a bit. I just don’t get his appeal. 💤
by Anonymous | reply 108 | November 3, 2024 5:37 AM |
What’s the deal with this Chappell Roan? Why all the love for this flake? Wasn’t she the bitch that made a point of saying she wasn’t endorsing anyone for President?
by Anonymous | reply 109 | November 3, 2024 5:57 AM |
R 81, I’ve been saying that for years. I stopped watching for a few seasons because of his ugly unfunny ass. I will never forget him sharing those horrendous jokes about gymnast Simone Biles’ sexual assault and he NEVER got held accountable for that. I pray he’s fired after this 50th season along with half the cast.
by Anonymous | reply 110 | November 3, 2024 6:15 AM |
I actually liked that first song by Chappelle Roan. Name?
by Anonymous | reply 111 | November 3, 2024 6:21 AM |
I liked the show, especially the opening. The worst skit was the sit-com talk show, and it wasn't nearly as bad as far too many of them from over the years. Hey, did everyone notice that some butt-hurt MAGA piece of shit went all the way down this thread and FF'd every single post? What a loser.
by Anonymous | reply 112 | November 3, 2024 6:25 AM |
Apologies to all the butt-hurt loser MAGA pieces of shit on here: it looks like the FF button is faded out on every post of every thread. Whatever could this mean?

John Mulaney looks awful. I hope he’s okay because I really like him.
by Anonymous | reply 116 | November 3, 2024 7:12 AM |
Is this the comedy of a drug free Mulaney?
Was this Lorne's farewell to rampant drug use?
Mulaney has a few Mulaney sketches he reworks, and Port authority Milk (Diner Lobster, Times Square Underwear, Bodega Bathroom, Airport Sushi) and Family Bonds/Little Richard were continuations of Mulaney's themes. The Family Bonds episode was a lame extension of previous TV retrospectives that featured incest and pedophilia. I was hoping for necrophilia. But call me a traditionalist, I like his old face and his old addictions. John is not funny. His demons are.
by Anonymous | reply 117 | November 3, 2024 12:54 PM |
Oh, and the singer, WTF? She had a huge padded ass for the first song and then shows up with white girl booty for the second song? Is this cultural appropriation of Negress boo-tay?
by Anonymous | reply 118 | November 3, 2024 12:56 PM |
Kamala and Maya were great!-Full circle. Best of Luck to all of us.
by Anonymous | reply 119 | November 3, 2024 1:06 PM |
And it showed that Kamala is leaps and bounds prettier than Maya.
by Anonymous | reply 120 | November 3, 2024 1:09 PM |
I couldn't wait for last night's episode - Mulaney hosting (I love him), the weekend before election day, and the Trump MSG fiasco from last Sunday. A recipe for a 90 minute non-stop laugh fest. Buy was I disappointed - I chuckled a few times, waiting for 'the funny' to happen in this episode.
Mulaney has gained weight and he has aged. At 42, he now looks like a man - he has lost his 'frat boy' youth look we've been accustomed to. He's still handsome and sexy to me, but he is showing his age these days (aside from drying out, it could also be the stress of being a dad to two toddlers). I liked when he wore his hair parted on the side in his 30s - parted in the middle now (trying to look youthful) isn't working.
For me, the opening sketch fell flat. I've always loved the sketches on Trump, but let's face it: the real Trump has now become far more comical than any caricature of him.
The game show sketch felt like an 'after-thought'. It could've been much funnier without that Longfellow guy. When Tim Caine is the funniest in the sketch, something is very wrong.
Weekend Update landed with a thump. The best thing about this week's update was Marcello (I so want to lick his balls and give him a handjob at the same time).
The inevitable musical sketch was a shadow of its former selves. Not nearly as funny as the ones from past seasons.
Chappel Roan did what she was supposed to do - entertain (though I do like 'Pink Pony Club' - catchy song). She's still trying to 'shock' the audience with her appearance, as though it's 1983. Boy George and Cyndi Lauper did it better, Chappel. I say she is forgotten by next November.
As someone said, the audio was off throughout the whole episode. Not sure what was happening there.
by Anonymous | reply 121 | November 3, 2024 2:15 PM |
Kinda lost in all the Kamala reaction was the genius of the Trump part of the cold open. They don't usually have writing of that quality but they captured the decline of that sad old piece of shit and his own awareness of his collapse and turned it into comedy. It was a fantastic piece of scripting and performance. Transcended SNL's usual failure when it aims high at a concept, like Port Authority.
by Anonymous | reply 122 | November 3, 2024 2:32 PM |
I would love to see Kenan do Little Richard again. That was HILARIOUS! 😂
by Anonymous | reply 123 | November 3, 2024 2:43 PM |
r122, portraying Trump, has gone from satire to hyperreality.
Brilliant.
by Anonymous | reply 124 | November 3, 2024 2:49 PM |
Mulaney looks better with some weight on him.
by Anonymous | reply 125 | November 3, 2024 2:56 PM |
My favorite part:
John: The system is down. We are accepting only cash or sex.
Pete Davison: I have cash.
John: Oh. That's too bad.
by Anonymous | reply 126 | November 3, 2024 3:27 PM |
R112, R113, if the FF is faded out it means you have used up your allotted amount of FFs for a specific duration.
Pot. Kettle. Black.
by Anonymous | reply 127 | November 3, 2024 3:42 PM |
Tim Kaine showed surprising comedy chops, but it was melancholy seeing him. Perhaps Lorne wanted to show us what happens when you don't vote. We could have had 8 years of Hillary, then Kaine in 2024. He would make a fine President- lights years from Orange Turd.
by Anonymous | reply 128 | November 3, 2024 5:02 PM |
R112 complaining about trolls FF’ing all the posts is better than most of the sketches were last night.
by Anonymous | reply 129 | November 3, 2024 6:37 PM |
It was a decent show, not up to Mulaney's past hosting stints, but still good. My favorite bit of the evening was Kenan as Little Richard. I actually laughed out loud twice. Also, I liked the Tim Kaine bit.
