Has anyone seen this documentary series. For the moment, there is no "Last" gay bar. This is about the rise and fall of gay bars.
Thank you OP, I hadn't heard of this series.

This looks good but I'm scared to watch. The death of nightlife is an extremely depressing concept to me. I don't understand how human beings as a species could just sit back and allow it to happen. It's the best part of life!

I agree. Young people are all so depressed

R5 - I'm actually watching it on Prime right now - you have to signup for 1 week trial of the gay channel, but I recommend it.
It's a similar gay history story - but in Des Moines, Iowa.

R6 here - apparently it's also free on Roku.

I have mixed feelings about watching this.
As a teen from a broken home and after a particularly bad breakup, I sought solstice in nightclubs and bars for two decades before getting sober. I met plenty of great people, losers too, and for three spectacular years was a bartender in an infamous Boston bar on Saturday nights

It was good - not great - but good. I didn't know Anita Bryant got a pie in the face in Des Moines.
The bar is still open by the way.
