It appears that many of these women and men who go the hard core filler route are curating a look more for their Instagram/ online life, rather than the actual, dimensional world they inhabit.

Much like fat people with, say, ill-fitting skinny jeans,, they manage to strike a relatively flattering pose in front of a mirror and, thinking that it looks great, parade about in said jeans unaware of how ridiculous they look in motion and from other angles.

It's strictly for the Gram in most cases and coupled with the delusion that you look to others as you have learned to perceive yourself through selectively editing your own self perception with mirrors and posts on instagram

A friend of mine got it done to even out her lip volume - her top lip was much thinner than the bottom lip, which can also tend to happen over time.

But the key is to start in VERY low amounts so the lips and skin don't look stretched. Honestly I think most women get 200-300% more than what they need, perhaps because they're paying by the vial and want to use all that they're paying for.

Huge mistake. A SMALL bit is fine - but too many women end up looking like blow-up dolls and it's always the side view that gives it away. Too much protrusion from the face.

But you see it all the time - too large of implants, too much Botox, too much fake eyelashes (this has gone CRAZY the past few years with these moths sitting on peoples eyelashes), way too much contouring makeup, overbleached hair, too many hair extensions, overdone nails, etc.

I blame some of it on Kardashians and Insta - who literally STOLE a lot of their look and exaggeration from drag queens. I'm positive that they had makeup artists who also did drag.

The tendency to go overboard for any cosmetic or aesthetic treatment is so common for women. Please make the eyelash extensions STOP. They look so ridiculous.

As I've become older, it seems that I'm more and more immune to women's 'beauty'. I've always been gay, but now when I see these online pics - and a lot of women now all look the same - there's just no reaction.

I don't think - Wow they're beautiful - because their hair, makeup, and fake stuff is so distracting. It's like looking at a cartoon.

Is THIS what straight men find attractive? It's not too far off from what we see in porn - and those women look so fake and disgusting. I honestly don't get it.

Thicker lips are associated with youth. As you get older, your lips thin out. It's all obsession with clinging to youth.

Hell, wasn't Barbara Hershey the pioneer of this in Beaches? And it was a big deal then-And you know what- she looked great! It gave her a much softer/feminine look- which actually worked for that character-

When I see overly made up women I think about how messed up they must be at the end of the day when they wash their face, remove the false eyelashes, hair extensions, and take off their push up bras and Spanx.
