Interview below.
She's so lovely.

Always keep in mind that even after January 6, Cassidy Hutchinson had already planned to go to Mar-a-Lago to work for Trump starting on January 20, the date of Joe Biden's inauguration.
Cassidy Hutchinson had a front row seat to the behind the scenes chaos and lawlessness on all the events leading up to Jan 6 and to the actual day itself--and she still did not resign and was planning to continue working for Trump in Florida. When she went home to New Jersey after Jan 6, her parent were shocked to see that their daughter was still planning to work for Trump.
Yes, Cassidy Hutchinson finally saw the light, but she was an enabler and opportunist...and a slimy Repug to the core. And after Kamala Harris is elected, Cassidy Hutchinson will go back to being a slimy Repug.

r3, what you say may be true but, nevertheless, all Americans should be eternally grateful to Cassidy for seeing the light and having the bravery and self-possession to provide immeasurably urgent and unique witness testimony at the Jan. 6 hearings. NONE of the men she worked with did that.

[quote]Cassidy Hutchinson will go back to being a slimy Repug
They *all* will, r3, every last one. Oh my God...I can't breath(sic)!

R3 You are far too negative.

[quote]NONE of the men she worked with did that.
R4. You make a good point. I should have mentioned that in my post. The Repug men continue to be cowards. But all the women who are now speaking out against Trump, (Cassidy Hutchinson, Alyssa Farrah Griffin, Sarah Matthews to name a few) all stuck with him to the very end or nearly the end--through the Covid disaster, impeachments, etc. I think that they are sincere now, but their morals and character are severely damaged and compromised. They stuck with him for a paycheck, the same beliefs and hatred of the Democrats. They preferred to watch Trump break the law. They were complicit.
They want you to believe that they felt they had to stay; otherwise, there would be even more chaos in the White House. Well, the chaos continued and got even worse, so their "adult-in-the-room faux strategy didn't work and never was going to work with Trump running the show.
So they changed their minds and saw the light. Thank you. It's about time. But they should have done it sooner. They are still Repugs to the core. They were enablers. and assisted Trump And now? Hell, Cassidy Hutchinson got a profitable book deal, and Alyssa Farrah Griffin got a seat at the the table on The View .
And the men whether it be generals, cabinet members, the communications team and other staff who surrounded Trump? They're disgusting and are accessories to criminal activity. And they are one of the main reasons why the prosecution against Trump has taken so long--and why we still won't have any of the main cases underway or verdicts until after the election if at all.

We should encourage more to be like Cassidy and Alyssa.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | October 3, 2024 11:42 PM |
R3 is right. She really had no problem working for Trump. It wasn’t until she realized Mark Meadows and Tony Ornato were going to lie about Jan 6 that she became worried about her own situation.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | October 4, 2024 2:07 AM |
Sorry if she didn't do it on your timeline, r9, but she did it and her witness testimony was a game changer.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | October 4, 2024 2:29 AM |
r3, how do you propose Cassidy and those other low-level WH women workers could have prevented Dump from doing all his evil bullshit before Jan. 6?
The high-level men, OTOH, could have at least publicly spoken out and been heard.

Where is George W. Bush? If he endorsed Kamala, he might climb from the bottom tier of presidents.

[quote]how do you propose Cassidy and those other low-level WH women workers could have prevented Dump from doing all his evil bullshit before Jan. 6?
R11. They couldn't. But it wasn't just Jan 6. They worked for Trump for four years, and continued to defend him through two impeachments, Covid, all sorts of criminal activity--even watching him take a Sharpy and draw a different track for an approaching hurricane. And yet, they continued working for him. They enabled him and were complicit. They should have gotten the hell out of that lawless administration. But none of them resigned from their job to get away from Trump's lawlessness. They were instead complicit and supported him. They were short on morals and character and only spoke out and resigned when Trump's minions were breaking windows and breaking into the Capitol.
I suppose better late than never, but they behaved just like all the other complicit and slimy Repugs. They finally spoke out under subpoena when there was no other option. Granted, they are not as bad as Mark Meadows, Rudy Guiliani and Mike Flynn. But they were only helpful for fear of the subpoena.

^^Adding to the previous post...I guess it's an unrealistic expectation for people working in the heart of the West Wing would be ethical rather than complicit enablers for a boss breaking the law. .

It takes a lot of strength to break free.

Ghoulani who was considered creepy even for MAGA, showed up to the White House just before J6.
When he spotted Hutchison he leered, "Aren't you excited about what is to cummmmm"?
She gave him the brush and saw her boss Mark Meadows ensure Ghouliani was escorted out of the White House.
When her boss rejoined her, she specifically asked what was meant and was basically told, "Don't worry your pretty little head about it".
Why IS this exchange important?
It proves J6 was not spontaneous and identifies some of the players who planned this 👇

Has Ho Hicks released a statement?

R17 Can't do it. Her mouth is full.

Cassidy is beautiful. She should be able to parlay her change of heart into a career rather than a simple 15 minutes of fame.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | October 4, 2024 7:32 AM |
r3, look at this way. If Cassidy had quit her WH job, she wouldn't have witnessed what she did in the days leading up to and including Jan. 6 and wouldn't have provided that necessary testimony to millions of Americans. She might have been replaced by a young woman without her courage and tenacity.

Anyone who worked for the Dump Administration for more than 24 hours has questionable judgment.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | October 4, 2024 1:30 PM |
R21 That may be true, but we should be finding ways for them to exit.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | October 4, 2024 5:40 PM |
I like Kamala's welcome of these reprobates. Sooooo many MAGAts chose Trump over their own kids and grandchildren. I'm not sure how to heal those families, but Harris is setting a good example.

Because, of course. From the WAPO.
An aide to House Speaker Mike Johnson advised Republican colleagues against subpoenaing former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson as part of their investigation into the Jan. 6, 2021, attack in an effort to prevent the release of sexually explicit texts that lawmakers sent her, according to written correspondence reviewed by The Washington Post and a person familiar with the effort.
The aide intervened last June, citing concerns that a subpoena could expose the texts, according to the correspondence and the person, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to talk candidly about private conversations. Johnson revived the investigation this week as part of an effort by President Donald Trump and his allies to seek retribution against perceived political enemies, including those who investigated his role in the Capitol attack.
Before that meeting, a Johnson aide told Loudermilk’s staff that multiple colleagues had raised concerns with the speaker’s office about the potential for public disclosure of “sexual texts from members who were trying to engage in sexual favors” with Hutchinson, according to correspondence produced at the time that detailed the conversation. Separately, a member of Johnson’s staff told Loudermilk aides that Hutchinson, an aide to then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, could “potentially reveal embarrassing information,” according to an email reviewed by The Post.
