This makes sense. Hope they use him more than the previous actor — Lucas is a legacy character and should be central.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | September 27, 2024 5:51 PM |
Awwwwww. Good for him.

Is Lucas a legacy child?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | September 27, 2024 5:58 PM |
I love Van! So glad he's going to be on a soap again.

R6 the ultimate legacy child! He’s Bobbie Spencer’s son!

Thank you, R8.

I will be watching, I hope Lucas and Brad get a good story with plenty of airtime.

Doctor, I have a bad case of Vanhansis.
Please help me!

I was about to post this but Datalounge beat me to it. Great news. Been a fan of Van since his ATWT days. Can't wait to see him on GH. Would also be nice if they could give some screen time to their other gay characters, like Aiden. He came out to his mom last year but since then he hasn't had a storyline.

Here is the scene I was talking about btw. It was a sweet scene. Too bad nothing has happened since then.

R8 Actually, I disagree. The ultimate legacy character would be Cameron. He's the first great-grandson of Dr. Steve Hardy ... and Liz has become the present version of Jessie Brewer.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | September 27, 2024 10:26 PM |
What of Jake Silbermann? He hasn't launched a Go Fund Me acting project in some time. Luke+Noah 4ever.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | September 27, 2024 10:36 PM |
Time to cast Jake as Lucas Jones' new love interest! Get the old band back together.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | September 28, 2024 12:41 AM |
What legacy character could Jake be?

[quote]What legacy character could Jake be?
Many possibilities:
Mikey Webber, the adopted son of Rick Webber and Ginny Blake.
Steve Hardy's grandson , the son of Tommy Hardy.
AJ Quatermaine's previously unheard of illegitimate son.
Steve Lars Webber's previously unheard of son, making him Heather's grandson and Steve Hardy's great-grandson.

In 2024 who can bear to watch this glacially paced dreck? Soap Opera Acting indeed.

Who has Van dated?

R25, I’ve been watching GH everyday for the past 7 or 8 weeks. It’s not perfect, and it’s not how I wish it were, but I’ve been enjoying a lot of it.

Van and Broadway actor Tyler Hanes have been together since 2007.

Thank you, R28?

I remember Van's frustration with CBS/P&G Telewhatever the Hell it was, when he played Luke and was essentially straightjacketed from admitting he was gay. It was amusing to see he identified as 'straight' in interviews when he was living w/ Tyler. The kissing ban was insulting. The hubub reached a P&G VP who was a lesbian and she was annoyed she was being bugged about it. It was the only buzz and p.r. that stupid show was getting at the time, and yet they continued to shove characters NOBODY gave a crap about down our throats. Julie Pinson and that awful tv daughter of hers, for one. Then they really struck gold when Eric Sheffer Stevens showed up as Dr. Reid and he and Van clicked. Van deserved a lot better, and I hope this go round he gets it.

Who played the role previously?

“I know what I did. It has nothing to do with the phone call. I wanted to kiss you. I’ve been wanting to kiss you for long time…Luke.”
So sexy.

Jake Silberman, Van's boyfriend on "Word Turns" hasn't worked much since the show left the air 14 years ago.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | September 29, 2024 12:03 PM |
Silbermann must have aged out of every type he was remotely suited to play, given his limited acting ability.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | September 29, 2024 12:55 PM |
That was incredibly NOT sexy. Unsex me here.

Aiden is recast. Hopefully now they can actually give him a storyline! Remember, he is openly gay (queer? bi?)
by Anonymous | reply 37 | September 30, 2024 5:16 PM |
Wow, he believably could be Jonathan Jackson and Becky Herbst’s son. While there’s no way to know if he can act yet, physically, that’s good casting.

Well, that's a name that is a blast from the past.
Van Hansis used to be a regular name thrown around on DL from back where there actually were telephones which could be dialed with a pencil.
