I love the music by Henry Mancini. The film is very good too but made somewhat more memorable because of this tune.
Him: Bitch. Her: Bastard. What an ending!!!!!

Albert Finney a few years later would play a philandering husband in Shoot the Moon opposite Diane Keaton. He was one of my favourite actors.

Years ago, I interviewed Finney and asked him about playing opposite Hepburn. No surprise. He was effusive in his praise of his co-star.

Alan Arkin was also effusive in his praise of Hepburn. She, however, doubted her abilities.

I think the film has great moments in it, and that the actors are at their very best, but the film never really comes together for me. I don't believe that marriages are like this one so I see them as unique and within that story. But the music is great and timeless.

Anybody see Shoot the Moon? I think that is maybe one of my all time favourites. A more real relationship drama.
