Get some friends you can bore with your thirteen year old girl tastes.

by Anonymousreply 1September 15, 2024 10:56 PM

I miss the days when singers had distinctive voices.

by Anonymousreply 2September 15, 2024 10:57 PM

I knew this inane fuck was going to post about her

by Anonymousreply 3September 15, 2024 10:57 PM

He’s the condi troll too

How do grown men end up talking like high-school girls like OP?

They know how to speak properly but choose to infantilize themselves in such a humiliating manner.

You don’t seem younger, OP. Just sadder.

by Anonymousreply 5September 15, 2024 11:02 PM

Boring - is her 15 minutes over yet?

by Anonymousreply 6September 15, 2024 11:03 PM

Her album is pretty good pop music. Nothing groundbreaking, but catchy and fun.

by Anonymousreply 7September 15, 2024 11:20 PM

OP, is she a BOP?

by Anonymousreply 8September 15, 2024 11:21 PM

Emperor’s new clothes. I think her success is due to her image, appeals to the 30 yr old woman working in HR who loves Drag Race, the veneer of rebellion without any musical follow-through. Her sound is a continuation of the 80s revival shit we’ve seen over and over in the past 10 years.

by Anonymousreply 9September 15, 2024 11:43 PM

I see more gays pushing her than anyone.

by Anonymousreply 10September 15, 2024 11:47 PM

Love her actually. Hot to go, and Red Wine Supernova are my favorites. Also Pink Pony Club. Not really a fan of Good Luck Babe though.

Guess I'm taking a time out. Hell, I don't even listen to Taylor Swift.

r12 You mean you like actual, real music? How dare you!

by Anonymousreply 13September 15, 2024 11:56 PM

As R8 asked, is she, indeed, a BOP?

Is she brat?

Is she goals?

Did she eat, and leave no crumbs?

Is Mother mothering?

by Anonymousreply 14September 15, 2024 11:56 PM

Bird Of Prey?

Everyone keeps praising her for being so "real" because she is open about her ~~~anXiEtY~~~ and overwhelmed by the newfound fame and "OMG she's SO humble and relatable, she used to work at a Scooter's in Missour-uh!" but I am not buying it. I understand she doesn't want people stalking her, but she very much was chasing the fame machine for years in LA. She didn't just stumble her way into this.

It wasn't until she had a calculated rebrand as a ***~~~Sapphic PoP DRAG queen GIRLIE!!!!!!!!!!~~~ that she really took off. If you look at her older stuff, most of it is very boring, basic, and dull. The drag pizazz is what caught people's attention. Also, she's pulling a Lana Del Rey by claiming she grew up in a trailer park when her dad was a nurse and her mom a veterinarian... sure thing, sweetie.

r16 she was posting on youtube under her real name for a year or so, Troy Savan called her out as his favorite artist telling everyone to listen to her music.

20 years from now, she'll be married to a man, have crotchfruit, and disavow her lesbianism as a"phase" she wss going through.

by Anonymousreply 21September 19, 2024 11:30 PM

This song stood out to me on the radio because I thought her singing style resembled 80's singer, Jane Siberry.

by Anonymousreply 22September 23, 2024 10:13 PM

r22 she does have a very 80's brit pop way about her. I thought a bit of the cure mixed with very heavy synth-pop. I watched her NPR Little Desk concert she is an excellent live singer which is rare nowadays.
