Glasgow, Scotland.

The idiotic tradition of putting a traffic cone on the head of the Duke of Wellington’s statue. It started as a student prank decades ago, but it has become a major photo op.

Nothing much really. People generally just pass through here on the way to the more interesting and beautiful parts of the rest of the country, and quite rightly so. Its not a terrible city by any means, and parts are quite attractive but I cant think of any tourist attractions that people specifically come here for from overseas, maybe locally from other parts of the country

If its mediocrity you want though, ours is absolutely world class and second to none. We have the worlds best mediocrity!

R57 - The Jet D'eau in Geneva is a strange thing - it's not a marvel by any means. Maybe it was when it was first built over 125 years ago, but it's literally just a jet of water going straight up in the lake from a mechanical system they put there. Yet everyone always talks about it. A large fountain in the middle of a lake. Most cities on the water could do the exact same thing - I don't understand why they slap themselves on the back for it. But that's tourist attractions.

Visiting the city council’s fold of Highland Cattle in the country park.

Visiting the 12 century cathedral where “Warrior” Bishop Robert Wishart offered Robert the Bruce absolution after Bruce stabbed John Comyn to death in a church in his diocese. This really appeals to Game of Thrones/Outlander fans.

R10, I stayed in an Airbnb just across from Betsy Ross’s house. I loved that part of the city, such a nice mix of very modern and pretty old. And just pretty in general. I wish I had more time there.

Glasgow here again. I was in the city centre today, and I overheard an American tourist pointing towards the City Chambers, which is the HQ of the local authority.

She said, and I quote, “That must be a church”
