Michael Keaton will start going by his real name from now on. Call him Michael Douglas

He’s done with not using his real name in Hollywood because the other Michael Douglas exists.

by Anonymousreply 1September 4, 2024 10:57 PM

by Anonymousreply 2September 4, 2024 10:59 PM

I’ll let you know when I cross that bridge, R2!

by Anonymousreply 3September 4, 2024 11:01 PM

OK, we will all start calling you Michael Douglas, Mr. Keaton.

Sure, Jan!

This is a great time for CZJ to switch husbands, as her once hot husband did not age as well as the other one.

by Anonymousreply 4September 4, 2024 11:03 PM

R4 both men in their 70s but 7 years apart

by Anonymousreply 5September 4, 2024 11:04 PM

Where does this leave Illeana?

by Anonymousreply 6September 4, 2024 11:09 PM

Watch it, Michael. Do you remember Dionne WarwickE?

by Anonymousreply 7September 4, 2024 11:14 PM

And I am now Diane Hall.

by Anonymousreply 8September 4, 2024 11:16 PM

R6 She becomes Illeana Indiana as she is succeeded and loses her birthright title

by Anonymousreply 9September 4, 2024 11:17 PM

Upon succession, Buster Keaton will, in posterity, now become Buster Brown or the Duke Of Earl

by Anonymousreply 10September 4, 2024 11:21 PM

What happens to blushing bride Ryan Seahag Douglas?

by Anonymousreply 11September 5, 2024 12:37 AM

Hey, works for me!

by Anonymousreply 12September 5, 2024 12:40 AM

R7 - wasn't her real name Dionne Warrick?

by Anonymousreply 13September 5, 2024 12:45 AM

FFS - he's 72 years old.

This just proves that acting has always drawn exhausting people and that this new crop is no different that celebrities of yesteryear.

by Anonymousreply 14September 5, 2024 12:48 AM

And don't make eye contact with me on set!

by Anonymousreply 15September 5, 2024 1:32 AM

He’s bat (shit crazy) man.

by Anonymousreply 16September 5, 2024 2:17 AM

Whatever. “Douglas” Michaels and Peters Bernadette were so cute on that short-lived sitcom they starred together upon eons ago.

by Anonymousreply 17September 5, 2024 2:26 AM

What a dumb thing to do.

by Anonymousreply 18September 5, 2024 2:28 AM

Keaton cannot call himself Michael Douglas due to the Screen Actors Guild rule about no two members can have the same name: Michael Douglas ( The Streets of San Francisco) and Mike Douglas (talk show host).

He will now go by a combination of his stage name and real name: Michael Keaton Douglas.

Stunning and brave!!

by Anonymousreply 20September 5, 2024 4:56 PM

I'm changing my name to Michael Keaton Douglas Fairbanks.

by Anonymousreply 21September 5, 2024 4:59 PM

I'm adding the "a" back into my name.

by Anonymousreply 22September 5, 2024 5:21 PM

A little too late lol

Has he lost his mind?

by Anonymousreply 23September 5, 2024 5:26 PM

The white man always called me “Indian Squaw “

by Anonymousreply 24September 5, 2024 5:53 PM

call me, ishmael

by Anonymousreply 25September 5, 2024 6:00 PM

Couldn’t he wait until the real Michael Douglas passes and I’m the grieving young widow?

by Anonymousreply 26September 5, 2024 6:02 PM

Michael Cougar Melloncamp sounds nice.

by Anonymousreply 27September 5, 2024 6:11 PM

R24 But didn’t the Indians say that you were white by law?

by Anonymousreply 28September 5, 2024 6:20 PM

I hope Catherine doesn't get confused.

by Anonymousreply 29September 5, 2024 6:35 PM

Um.. ok? Better keep that Keaton in there, Michael Keaton Douglas. Otherwise we will be super confused.

by Anonymousreply 30September 5, 2024 6:39 PM

Michael Buster Keaton Melvyn Douglas Fir.

by Anonymousreply 31September 5, 2024 8:13 PM

Elizabeth Banks should start going by Elizabeth Mitchell Banks

by Anonymousreply 32September 6, 2024 12:13 AM

What a pointless move

by Anonymousreply 33September 6, 2024 12:15 AM

He's always hated it. Good for him.

by Anonymousreply 34September 6, 2024 12:17 AM

The artist formally known as Michael Keaton.

by Anonymousreply 35September 6, 2024 12:18 AM

Doesn't Catherine Zeta-Jones add on Spartacus when she wants to give acknowledgement to her husband's family?

by Anonymousreply 36September 6, 2024 12:45 AM

Why?

by Anonymousreply 37September 6, 2024 1:36 AM

Just don't call me late for dinner.

by Anonymousreply 38September 6, 2024 1:54 AM

This reeks of attention whoring.

by Anonymousreply 39September 6, 2024 2:01 AM

I always liked his smart, quick-witted style of acting. One of my favorites of the 80s and 90s.

by Anonymousreply 40September 6, 2024 2:31 AM

What does DL think of his son? He is a big time songwriter... I didn't know that.

by Anonymousreply 41September 6, 2024 2:39 AM

He was married to Caroline McWilliams, the secretary on the first couple of seasons of Benson. She was the mother of his son.

by Anonymousreply 42September 6, 2024 2:44 AM

His son look nothing like him. He's also 6'3"....Keaton is 5'9" and Caroline is 5'7".

Hmmm....

by Anonymousreply 43September 6, 2024 3:43 AM

^^or WAS. She died a few years ago.

by Anonymousreply 44September 6, 2024 3:44 AM

[quote]Keaton cannot call himself Michael Douglas due to the Screen Actors Guild rule about no two members can have the same name

Wanna bet?

by Anonymousreply 45September 6, 2024 3:57 AM

He looks good for 72.

by Anonymousreply 46September 6, 2024 4:07 AM

[quote]Wanna bet? —Peyton List & Peyton List{/quote]

Exactly. I'm sure it was once the rule, but for at least the past 15 years when joining and they see there's another member with your name, you can sign an acknowledgement form that essentially states you are aware of the name conflict and that it could possibly lead to confusion during the cast clearance process, but you will take that chance.

by Anonymousreply 47September 6, 2024 5:36 AM

Why this spells big trouble for Diane

by Anonymousreply 48September 6, 2024 6:06 AM

Why she now only answers to ‘Grammy Hall’

by Anonymousreply 49September 6, 2024 6:46 AM

The son has nice eyes.

by Anonymousreply 50September 6, 2024 8:31 AM

So does the hills

by Anonymousreply 51September 6, 2024 8:47 AM

He is Michael Douglas.

by Anonymousreply 52September 6, 2024 9:16 AM

Never liked this actor. And he seems more than a little bit self-important.

Worse, he was the one weak link in 'Jackie Brown'

by Anonymousreply 53September 6, 2024 10:41 AM

We’ll always have Pacific Heights’

by Anonymousreply 54September 6, 2024 12:18 PM

I love him and will call him whatever he wants. Also, I would respectfully like to make out just a bit and see where things go.

by Anonymousreply 55September 6, 2024 12:25 PM

Do you got to 2nd?

by Anonymousreply 56September 6, 2024 12:35 PM

R43 hmmm indeed. His son looks nothing like him at all in r41.

by Anonymousreply 57September 6, 2024 1:21 PM

It's kind of crazy how his career was more or less on par with Tom Hanks in the 80s. And then he quit Hollywood to be a real life Mr. Mom. At least his kid turned out better than Chet.

by Anonymousreply 58September 6, 2024 1:24 PM

There is something about Michael Keaton I always liked on screen. He is like Tom Hanks without the big epic dramas filmography. He just has this quality of like your basketball coach or something. Something very familiar and endearing.

by Anonymousreply 59September 6, 2024 3:59 PM

Chet won a Grammy for "White Boy Summer" and is on the road to an EGOT now!

by Anonymousreply 60September 6, 2024 4:21 PM

I thought he was sexy as hell in "Batman Returns" and I really enjoyed him in "The Founder."

by Anonymousreply 61September 6, 2024 4:24 PM

If you want to be Michael Keaton Douglas, that’s cool with me. How about Michael K Douglas?

by Anonymousreply 62September 6, 2024 4:24 PM

It's so interesting to me he's so much better looking in his seventies than he was in his twenties.

by Anonymousreply 63September 6, 2024 4:35 PM

I agree with the Hanks comparisons, though I'd argue that Keaton always had an edge to him that Hanks never did, which is why he was capable of doing more performance-wise.

by Anonymousreply 64September 6, 2024 6:07 PM

Dad = 5'9"

Mom = 5'7"

Son = 6'3"!!

How does that happen? A sleeper "tall" gene? I've never seen this.

by Anonymousreply 65September 6, 2024 6:21 PM

Good nutrition has given him some length of bone... you know the rest.

by Anonymousreply 66September 6, 2024 6:35 PM

It's the height and his features, I know some kids resemble one parent over the other but here it really looks sus.

by Anonymousreply 67September 6, 2024 6:56 PM

He doesn't look good without the right lighting and make-up. Yikes!

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 68September 6, 2024 7:05 PM

Where does it say he took a break to raise his son? He had a son born in 1983 - early in his career. He worked steadily and hard through the late 90's - at which time his son would be graduating from high school

He didn't take a break to be a parent. His career stalled. What a bunch of bullshit.

by Anonymousreply 69September 6, 2024 7:09 PM

So unnecessary.

by Anonymousreply 70September 6, 2024 7:15 PM

There is a decided lack of pics with his son and Caroline McWilliams together. Odd.

by Anonymousreply 71September 6, 2024 8:05 PM

R65 It does happens. My father was 5'11, my mother was 5'3. My brother grew to 6' 3, I only am 5'9 1/2

by Anonymousreply 72September 6, 2024 9:56 PM

Something about him really creeps me out. He reminds me of a burns victim - the skin on his face looks too tight and shiny.

by Anonymousreply 73September 6, 2024 10:07 PM

My nephew is much taller than my brother or his mother. It happens. Just look at Barron "Lurch" Trump.

by Anonymousreply 74September 6, 2024 10:09 PM

R69 is a true DLer--considered the evidence, did the math, and called bullshit. Righteous dude!

by Anonymousreply 75September 6, 2024 10:09 PM

R72 I think you’re in your mommy’s genes

by Anonymousreply 76September 6, 2024 10:33 PM

R68, he’s wearing makeup. His brows have been drawn on and he has concealer in some areas.

by Anonymousreply 77September 7, 2024 12:10 AM

asshole

by Anonymousreply 78September 7, 2024 5:08 AM

Michael Keto Douglas

by Anonymousreply 79September 7, 2024 4:19 PM

“Call me by your name”.

by Anonymousreply 80September 7, 2024 4:22 PM

r79 i like it!
