Hvaldimir, a celebrated ‘spy’ whale, is DEAD to me

[quote]Hvaldimir, whose name is a combination of “hval,” the Norwegian word for whale, and the name Vladimir, was spotted in northern Norway in 2019, at first alarming fishermen. Belugas tend to move in groups and typically inhabit remote Arctic areas. Adding to the intrigue around Hvaldimir, he was wearing a harness that identified it as “equipment” from St. Petersburg. There also appeared to be a camera mount.

[quote]If Hvaldimir was a spy, he was an exceptionally friendly one. The whale showed signs of domestication, and was comfortable around people. He remained in busier waters than are typical for belugas, prompting concerns from scientists, activists and experts.

It was death by misadventure. He fell out of that 17th floor window on his own.

Maybe he was on his way home from Princess Marta Louise’s wediing?

From the pic, it looks like it might have been auto erotic asphyxiation. Was a lemon wedge found floating nearby?

Those Norwegians probably killed him by sending him away. They kept trying to get him to reintegrate with other belugas but he didn’t want that — he had lived his whole life with people.

He probably died of sadness.

Hvaldimir’s harness actually was a 5G antenna. Little known fact!

by Anonymousreply 18September 2, 2024 12:29 AM

R17, he was definitely vaxxed! Spy whales don't just drop dead!
