I actually liked the movie. Sandra Day was great and it was a good old fashioned horror movie. I've been following the true story since it happened- read every article, watched all the news coverage, saw the doc Demon House, and even went to Zac Bagans Museum in Vegas and saw parts of the haunted house he took after buying it (the basement stairs, ritual items, and the dirt they were buried in)

Lee did ask me to play Alberta. While I adore him and would have loved to collaborate again, I ultimately felt that my youthful visage would not have translated well onscreen to that of an elderly, urban white woman with cancer. After some discussion, Lee agreed. I am so happy for Glenn, though.

Oh my you are lame. Sad.

I watched this tonight. It's too dull to have any real camp value. The Glenn Close pussy-sniffing scene is the only time the film has any life, and it's just a couple of minutes in a nearly two-hour long movie. It's not worth the time.

I haven't read any of the reviews, but it's very boring. The possession aspect doesn't hit high gear until the last half hour or so, and the rest of the movie is an alcoholic mother being suspected of abusing her children. The horror elements of the movie are very light until the last act. It's not terribly made or acted, hence the lack of much real camp, it's just uninteresting.

Does she play a crackhead?

It's not good. It was boring. I fell asleep. I guess Glenn is exploring trash Americana with her recent film choices along with that JV Vance garbage and this. She's great, as always, but she's better than the material she's choosing. Ryan Murphy should use her soon.

Monique however did replace Octavia Spencer. I wonder if it was a scheduling conflict or creative differences.
