Anyone here unable to snap their finger(s)?

I can snap my fingers, but never been able to whistle (and I had a job as a teenager that depended on whistling - yes really).

I cannot snap my fingers in either hand.

But it took until my twenties to finally achieve it.

I also finally learned how to blow a bubble with gum. But alas, I've never learned to whistle.

I used to be able to snap really well.

But, since I rarely do it, it now comes out a bit underwhelming without that satisfying POP sounds.

I always have a whistle hanging around my neck for when I need to attract the attention of service staff.

Weird memory, but my first-grade teacher snapped her fingers with her thumb and pinkie.

Snapping, whistling, and cartwheels are things I can do, but I have no idea how to explain or teach to another person.

I can snap with every finger on either hand except the forefingers. I can blow bubbles (and snap gum) and whistle but I can’t whistle with my fingers in my mouth eg, to hail a cab.

How can you not snap your fingers?

I can:

Snap my fingers

Whistle

Blow a bubble

Roll my tongue

Wiggle my ears

I can barely whistle but blowing a bubble is a snap. I also used to be able to blow smoke rings. A lost art now.

I could only snap with my dominant hand until I had the need to sing along with "On the Right Track" from Pippin. This is impossible if you can't snap on both hands, so I learned!

Yes but only my left hand. The fingers on my right barely make noise. I think it has to do with the fact that my left hand is quicker at typing and piano playing even though I write right-handed.

I can easily snap on both hands, and while I usually snap using the thumb and middle finger, and get the most satisfying sounds from them, I can also snap using my 4th finger. However, I can't blow bubbles and my whistling is pathetic. I can suck a golf ball through 30 feet of garden hose, but I think that's a skill that most of us have acquired through the years.....

Although the show has a woman singing Anyone Can Whistle, as a gay man I respond much more viscerally to a man singing it. Years ago I accompanied Davis Gaines singing it in a one-man revue. I felt he was singing it just to me. (Pitter pat, pitter pat). This was in his Phantom days.

I can only do it with my right hand, even though I'm left-handed. I also have difficulty whistling (I am only able to produce about four notes) and, bizarrely enough, I can roll my tongue, but I can only twist it to the left.

Thanks for pointing out that not everyone can snap their fingers, OP. I thought that I was somehow deficient for being unable to do it with my left hand and was far too embarrassed to ever admit it.
