When I was in London last November, visiting family, I decided to join a peaceful march calling for a ceasefire. There were tens of thousands of Brits marching. My cousin and I got chatting to a very sweet elderly man next to us and he revealed he was a holocaust survivor himself. He later brandished a homemade sign identifying himself as such and saying he was marching for peace for Palestinians and for Israelis. Near Trafalgar, a much smaller, but very loud, counterprotest of Zionists got a bit rowdy. When they saw this man's sign, they screamed at him, at the top of their lungs, that he was "no Jew" and that he would have been better off dead. It was shocking. Some of the most anti-Semitic people you will meet are Zionists. They twist themselves into illogical pretzels to continue justifying their behavior.

Anyway, Debra Messing sucks. Sorry to see Selma Blair's name on there. I thought she'd shown enormous courage through her battle with MS, but, damn, to attack a citizen journalist who is risking her life to document her people's antihalation is... a choice.
