[quote]She said she had confronted Schumacher about the claims many times during their relationship but that he had always been evasive. “Over the years these rumours kept getting worse,” she said.
She has the right to be angry (with herself and with Ralf) about that. It's the "I wasn't given any warning about his announcement" claims that don't hold up to scrutiny:
[quote]Schumacher responded to the interview by posting on his Instagram page what he said were screenshots of a WhatsApp exchange between his former wife and his partner to suggest that she had known about their relationship as far back as last September.

by Anonymous | reply 7 | August 19, 2024 2:21 PM |
Exactly, it's the dough she's missing, not the dick. She hates that what she believes should be hers now flows to the Latino boy toy.

First off, the hussy is French.
Secondly, between the vapid, narcissistic ex-wife and that seductive, preening temptress poor Ralf really stands no chance.
Hopefully the son is hot and learns from his Dad’s example.

Closeted who knowingly enter into hetero marriages are selfish as hell. I don't care what anyone says. And yes, I'm including late bloomer lesbians who marry some rich dude, pop out a couple of his kids, only to bail for a woman and leave him with a literal bill to pay for the next 18+ years. That's rude. You could've remained single instead of lie and ruin lives. Especially when there are kids involved.

She has no right to be angry. They've been divorced for almost ten years. She craves attention.
She'd have a right to be angry if they were still married.
Move on, Schatzi!

by Anonymous | reply 20 | August 19, 2024 6:17 PM |
Agree r12 but while we're shoveling out blame, we need to include those who chose to enter and stay in relationships with closeted people.
The signs were always there and despite the protests, there was no surprises and they stayed in the relationship to achieve their own goals - status, security, children, etc.

The fact she clings onto the Schumacher name despite being divorced for 9 years tells you all you need to know.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | August 19, 2024 6:37 PM |
Glad Ralf Schumacher posted this:
R12, and R21, I used to think like you. Like all of us gay men, at puberty I realized I liked looking at guys, was intrigued with their slim hips, the bulges in their trousers, and the shape of their butts. By the end of high school and in college I knew I was gay, but scared to come out. I didn't come out until some years later. But I knew not to marry a woman. I might have taken a woman out on a "date" in my early twenties. At most I gave them a chaste kiss good night. I would never have married a woman, because I knew it would be a sham and a lie. Besides I could never get it up with a woman for sex. I once thought gay men who married women, but later came out were the scum of the earth.
But I know better now. Our stories are unique...how and when we come out. And there are men who are confused. They think if they only find the right woman...you know the attitudes. And it is still societal pressure that plagues these men.
Ralf Schumacher grew up at a time when homophobic attitudes were still mainstream attitudes. He was in a sport where the default (like society) expectation is straight. Sadly, that still persists in sport. So, now, I'm more willing to be understanding of gay men who have been married to women.
Note that I say "have been." I have no sympathy for closeted gay men who remain married to women but who fuck other men on the side.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | August 19, 2024 6:51 PM |
What a hot daddy.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | August 19, 2024 6:56 PM |
I'll never stop marveling at women who say that they had no idea "their" man is gay.
I've come around now, however, and accept that there are those women.
It's just that men who are attracted exclusively to having sex with women are unmistakable in both overt and involuntary responses when they're interacting with a woman.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | August 19, 2024 7:07 PM |
R12 has an incapacity for reasonable judgment.
I pity anyone who considered a relationship with that creature, whatever its sex.

The new boyfriend looks like he could throw some serious shade. The ex-wife should be very careful. The replacement looks like they'd cut a bitch without batting an eye.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | August 19, 2024 7:17 PM |
r24 and r27 Unless one, quite literally, has a gun to their head, there is no excuse to enter into a straight marriage if you know you're gay/lesbian. It's selfish. And I'm saying that as a lesbian who was with men before. Thankfully, I had the good sense to never marry one of them or, god forbid have kids. But had I done so, I would 100% concede that I was a heartless, selfish, bitch for doing so. It would likely be even worse because usually the kids go with the mother.
That would mean I would've gotten into a straight marriage, knowing damn well I'm gay, had the man's kids. Then came out, divorced him, took his kids, and collected child support. That's fucked up.
For the record, I know a couple of women (older than me) who did exactly this. Lost respect for them when they told me "their stories."
by Anonymous | reply 31 | August 19, 2024 7:21 PM |
R31 What were their stories?
by Anonymous | reply 32 | August 19, 2024 7:28 PM |
What did you expect? The woman is LITERALLY a Frau. Besides her name is Cora, which probably is the German version of Karen.
Hallo, ich bin die Kora and ich will mit dem Manager sprechen. SOFORT!!!

He owed her nothing. Zero.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | August 19, 2024 7:34 PM |
r32 Short version: Both had relationships with women before meeting their husbands. One came out as bi to her husband while they were married after already having two kids until finally coming out as lesbian and filing for divorce. The other one waited some 21 years before coming out to her husband but stayed married for another 3 before filing for divorce for some reason (kids in college I believe).
Though they didn't explicitly say so, I got the impression they married men because it was a) easier socially, b) they wanted children, c) they liked being "taken care of." Perhaps it's a generation thing (1 young Boomer 1 older Gen x). I still feel like this type of mess is completely avoidable by just staying single.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | August 19, 2024 7:36 PM |
^ Tbf, I am looking at this from the perspective of a kid with separated/divorced parents. So, I'm probably just internalizing. Sure it sucks when no kids are involved, but something about having kids with a person and then breaking up that family is incredibly shitty to me. I think it's worse when they have kids.

Men know when they are sleeping with a lesbian who hasn't said she's a lesbian. He may stick around for the subpar sex, but it's both their faults to continue the relationship
by Anonymous | reply 38 | August 19, 2024 7:58 PM |
r38 But only she's the one who chooses to have the children. It's when they involve kids that I see them as selfish and shitty people.

by Anonymous | reply 41 | August 19, 2024 8:42 PM |
R31, I'm not as judgmental as I once was, and you appear to be. People are complex and may not have all the answers to the questions about their sexuality figured out even in their mid twenties...the age when Schumacher married Cora-Caroline Brinkmann. Again, I emphasize the homophobia of the society he grew up in and in the milieu of sport. All laws against sodomy in this country were finally struck down by the Supreme Court just over twenty years ago. Homophobic, popular and cultural attitudes in the 80s and 90s still stigmatized LGBT persons -- gay men especially. Religion -- Christianity in the US and Western Europe -- considered it sinful.
No doubt, Schumacher repressed who he was at 26 when he married. He made a mistake. So do straight men and women when they enter marriages without complete honesty to themselves. I just try not to be so judgmental of those who make mistakes.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | August 19, 2024 8:58 PM |
R12 I tend to agree especially for people who married after 2000 knowing full and well they are gay. I am sympathetic but it’s still selfish. Now for boomers who got married back in the day I can understand. Most of America thought being gay was a mental illness. They probably thought of themselves as being sick.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | August 19, 2024 9:03 PM |
There were gay rumours about him in the 90s
by Anonymous | reply 44 | August 19, 2024 9:17 PM |
This is a bit much, especially after he has proof in the text message chain that she knew about it before the article. It makes her look sad and pathetic, especially after she wished them well on the text message. She's bitter it's not about her anymore, too bad. Get over it and let that man live his life.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | August 19, 2024 9:26 PM |
r42 and r43 Honestly, I go back and forth on this. When it's the older people who were coming up during a time (i.e. the 60s and 70s) when being gay was seen as "sickness," that I can absolutely understand more. At that point, one could argue they were trying to "cure" themselves (I myself went through that dumb shit, and I'm a millennial). On the other hand, if it was late 90s, 00s, or heaven forbid 2010s I can't help but think 'why not just stay single' and "work on yourself?"
Being in a long-term relationship takes work. Marriage takes work. And then to go so far as to reproduce with that person? That's too much effort put into living a lie and dragging other people into it, for me when you could've just stayed by your damn self.
At the very least, I feel like people can take precautions to prevent children from being brought into this mess (women could secretly go on BC, men could secretly get snipped). That's why I get the impression that in many cases, there's a hint of "breeder selfishness" going on. They always have at least one kid. The lesbians I mentioned both said they always wanted to be moms. So...yeah.

There's a special dislike reserved for gay men who marry women. Never mind that most only ever do so because of a homophobic society (which isn't their fault) and that many straight people also marry for the wrong reasons, but never get it in the neck quite the same way when things don't work out.

She was a former nude model - just like Melania. And not a wealthy model at all. She went trophy husband hunting and nabbed him.
She got 6 million euros, a mansion and some F1 ambassadorship out of it - in 2015.
Now she's a 47 year old, washed-up, duck-lipped has been. She wants to be back in the limelight - BAD.
Next up - she's going to insinuate some nasty rumors and other stuff. Hopefully she has a gag agreement as part of her divorce - but that doesn't stop the thirsty.

Now his ex mother-in-law has waded in. She says Ralf told her he definitely wasn't gay!
I've included a link with more detail below. It's originally from the Daily Mail, so I've included an archived copy because why give them the clicks?
I thought this comment was pretty funny:
[quote]I know Cora and Ralf left her because she was an utter nightmare. If you see her now you would be shocked. Not even her only son talks to her and has broken ties. She needs money for all her drinks, cosmetic surgery and expensive life style, so she's gone to the tabloids and is constantly humiliating herself. If you read the German newspapers, you can see what an embarrassment she is.
I mean, they're not saying anything that hasn't really been said here, but it's always good to hear from someone closer to it all.

by Anonymous | reply 62 | August 20, 2024 9:02 PM |
R38 How the hell would men know that? What the hell are you talking about?
by Anonymous | reply 63 | August 20, 2024 9:03 PM |
Why does ex wife automatically assumes he is gay? Can't he be bi and his feelings for her real?
by Anonymous | reply 64 | August 20, 2024 9:04 PM |
r62 Nope. They're definitely lesbians. As far as men are concerned though, I seriously side-eye any men calling themselves 100% gay if they were able to reproduce offspring with a woman. The male's sexual arousal is required for sex to be possible. Women can literally just lay there and "be a hole" aroused or not.
