Never heard of these eccentric people but just finished the article. It's tough to tell if the abuse allegation is real or the implanted ramblings of a 95yo woman whose mind is slipping. She admits to no longer knowing if certain parts of her past are real or just what she's been told. Her recent injury has gone from being pushed down, to being pushed out a window, to being pushed down 3 flights of stairs.

Elder abuse is real. Having a child who hates your spouse and plays on a senile mind to cause divorce is also real.
