Justin Baldoni iced out at his own movie’s premiere

Blake Lively and the film’s cast and writer refuse to acknowledge or promote the movie with him, despite being the director and costar.

Blake is cunt

by Anonymousreply 1August 9, 2024 12:31 AM

Oooh...that video of Jenny Slate is saying something by her omission of his name.

by Anonymousreply 2August 9, 2024 12:41 AM

Why? Did he finger bang her when she was drunk or something?

by Anonymousreply 3August 9, 2024 12:41 AM

I'm surprised Blake doesn't wear more lavender. Too on point?

by Anonymousreply 4August 9, 2024 12:42 AM

Wow, sounds like he was a total asshole. Ryan had to go on set at some point?

by Anonymousreply 5August 9, 2024 12:50 AM

OP, it would help if you actually gave some BACKGROUND to your lame post.l

by Anonymousreply 6August 9, 2024 3:55 AM

Justin Baldoni is ripped. Then again, that's how his character Ryle describes himself in the movie.

by Anonymousreply 7August 9, 2024 4:27 AM

Why are these TV actors in a movie?

by Anonymousreply 8August 9, 2024 4:41 AM

Mystery Solved:

There appears to be a rift between “It Ends With Us” star Blake Lively and her director/co-star “Justin Baldoni,” who hasn’t done much press for the film. Social media sleuths noticed that the cast wasn’t really taking photos with him either at the film’s recent premiere.

A bunch of media outlets have caught on to the friction and are now wondering what in the hell is happening between these two. It turns out, it’s an old-fashioned editing room battle that we have going on here.

Multiple sources (via TheInSneider) are now saying that there were competing cuts of the film. Apparently, Lively took over Baldoni’s edit despite his cut having scored higher with audiences. How did Lively get away with this? She has a powerful husband, Ryan Reynolds, Deadpool himself, who “basically took over the movie and buddied up to author Colleen Hoover to see that their cut won.”

The end result is that now “[Justin] Baldoni and Blake [Lively] hate each other,” according to Sneider’s sources, adding that Lively has a massive ego and Hollywood can sometimes tend to reward that.

Baldoni has directed two other movies in his career, 2019’s “Five Feet Apart” and 2020’s “Clouds.” He’s best known for his role in the CW series, “Jane the Vigin.” What’s happened to him with this latest project isn’t fun to hear about. He deserved better than being plunged into a stew of egos.

The end result is that “It Ends With Us” has received very mixed reviews from critics. Maybe #ReleaseTheBaldoniCut could become a thing on social media. With that said, and given the hardcore fanbase Hoover’s novel has, the film is still projected to have a very healthy $25M opening weekend.

Baldoni blabbed to Sneider, who writes via a paid sub stack, so no real columnist wanted his side of the story.

“Blake has a massive ego” … Baldoni, a man whose entire career revolved around taking off his shirt, optioned the book for himself to direct and star in. He is not even the pga credited producer, Lively is. She is technically his boss, Baldoni only has an EP credit.

R6 the post explains the conflict and has a link to an article which explains it in depth for those to wish to read it

Let me explain something to you

When you post an article, you are not supposed to post the entire article inside the original post

This takes up space and is irritating to other posters

Are you autistic or something?

R11 your post is not as good as r6

by Anonymousreply 12August 9, 2024 11:45 AM

R9 I hope that article was written by AI

“ What’s happened to him with this latest project isn’t fun to hear about.”

by Anonymousreply 13August 9, 2024 11:46 AM

So what’s going on, exactly?

Well, we don’t actually know—but many people are jumping very quickly to Baldoni’s defense. “I am not gonna go see this if they are bullying Justin,” one user commented on Baldoni’s Instagram, while another added, “I’m so heartbroken 💔 to see them all apart. So sad that whatever the issue is it cannot be communicated and fixed behind closed doors for the sake of the movie. I mean he produced it. No one is thanking him.”

It’s possible fans are right about a rift between Baldoni and Lively, but it’s important to note how quickly society tends to turn against women in these situations. Remember what happened with Don’t Worry Darling? Perhaps we should wait for more information before jumping to conclusions.

It will be interesting to see if Lively and Baldoni address these new rumors as the press tour continues. We’ll keep you posted.

Not just in a Substack now - if it's hitting publications like Glamour they're going to have to address it or the frauen who they need to go see this dreck will stay home.

All that needs to be understood is that Baldoni is a big Baháʼí pusher.

Baháʼí is the Scientology of the 19th century.

Two Baha Men and a Gay. Blake sure keeps some interesting company.

r21 "Blake sure keeps some interesting company"

By being in a single movie with him?

by Anonymousreply 22August 10, 2024 1:02 AM

R11 is the cunt of this thread.

by Anonymousreply 23August 10, 2024 1:15 AM

Is this some kind of rom com? I’m sure nothing can save this movie from being a piece of shit.

by Anonymousreply 24August 10, 2024 5:59 AM

It’s a rom com, if you find the idea of a man beating up his wife romantic and funny

by Anonymousreply 25August 10, 2024 6:00 AM

Team Justin. If only because Blake is a fat cunt. I hate her. No, HATE.

by Anonymousreply 26August 10, 2024 6:04 AM

The movie is a dud and this nonsense is the only reason most people are even aware it exists.

Blake already has a reputation for being difficult and in this case she's just coming off as a mean girl.

by Anonymousreply 27August 10, 2024 10:55 AM

She’s using her domestic abuse romance movie to crosspromote her haircare brand

by Anonymousreply 28August 10, 2024 11:40 AM

Smart marketing!

by Anonymousreply 29August 10, 2024 11:41 AM

The movie isn’t a dud.

by Anonymousreply 30August 10, 2024 11:42 AM

We can revisit your opinion next week r30.

by Anonymousreply 31August 10, 2024 12:02 PM

Correction: it’s a turd!

Hate Mr and Mrs. Plantation wedding. Always thought they were trying too hard to keep that fake nice persona. And I bet they’re mean girls and cunts behind closed doors.

The book is a runaway best-seller; the movie has been highly anticipated.

by Anonymousreply 35August 10, 2024 4:18 PM

Did she invite her mammy to the premiere🤮

by Anonymousreply 36August 10, 2024 5:20 PM
