3 Columbia University Deans Who Sent Insulting Texts Have Resigned
The deans were put on leave earlier in the summer after sending messages that disparaged Jewish panelists. A fourth dean, who is tenured, will remain at the university.
[quote] In a sign of the university’s challenges, pro-Palestinian vandals attacked the Brooklyn Heights apartment building of the university’s chief operating officer, Cas Holloway, early Thursday morning, splashing red paint on the floor and releasing insects into the lobby, the police said. Before fleeing after 3 a.m., four people plastered posters outside of the building showing Mr. Holloway with devil ears and behind bars. Another poster said, “You signed off on police brutality. Now you want to expel us?” A glass door pane was also shattered, and upside-down red triangles, a symbol of the Palestinian resistance, were painted around the door.

A lot of what was happening on these campuses was more anti-Semitic rather than pro-Palestinian refuge related.

Damaging a residential building because a Columbia administrator lives in it is just criminal behavior. No justification. These are thugs, not people expressing a political point of view. They are not doing the Palestinians any favors.

Correction, r1, anti-white. That’s what these schools have been teaching them for decades: white = evil, the West = evil, anyone with a tan is a victim. Ironically, the people who were pushing this crap were Jewish professors. These students are victims of these institutions that have dumbed them down to the point where they can’t even tie their shoes without help.

Genocide doesn’t sound so bad when you think about the alternatives.

A longtime friend and colleague and I were speculating today about what could have happened if someone had seen some of the texts we exchanged during meetings.
