Please I must give a disclaimer. I am no way condoning rape but I wonder if there is a biological component to it. I once read some sociologists believe rape was very common as recent as the Middle Ages and it was the only way some men could ensure they passed on their DNA and had offspring. It just seems that so many men from all different socioeconomic backgrounds and races are prone to sexual assault.
