Um, Molly Kearney and Punkie Johnson?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | August 5, 2024 7:45 AM |
Gilbert. I hated everything about him.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | August 5, 2024 7:48 AM |
Horatio Sanz. Totally unfunny.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | August 5, 2024 7:51 AM |
Victoria Jackson - dumb as a rock, never funny, total MAGA before MAGA.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | August 5, 2024 7:55 AM |
Gilbert Gottfried could be very funny, just not on SNL. Jay Mohr was talented, but underutilized. Otherwise yes OP, the rest on your list blow (but I still liked Punkie Johnson)
by Anonymous | reply 5 | August 5, 2024 8:30 AM |
I know Leslie is derided on here because she often messed up her lines but she was actually very funny.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | August 5, 2024 8:44 AM |
Abby Elliott
Sasheer Zamata
Nasim Pedrad
by Anonymous | reply 7 | August 5, 2024 12:22 PM |
Horatio Sanz (the worst ever) Kyle Mooney Punkir Johnson Chris Elliot
by Anonymous | reply 8 | August 5, 2024 12:30 PM |
Agree about Sasheer. I often wondered how ever got the gig. She was a competent actress but she wasn’t funny. She never exuded funny. It’s weird.

In college, I HATED Jim Fucking Brewer,
I mean hated in a "I would not mind seeing him eaten by a rabid wolf" kind of way.
We would sit in the TV room of the dorm (as that was a thing back in my day,) watching SNL, and it became a running joke how much I couldn't stand Jim Fucking Brewer.
Goat Boy? Stupid and unfunny? Joe Pesci talk show? I've seen better imitations at open mic nights.
There was just something so basic about his frat-boy level work that just annoyed me to no end.
And , of course, he turned into a trump fan.
Shocker.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | August 5, 2024 12:39 PM |
[r10] Here.
See, I hated him so much I misspelled his name.
Jim Fucking BREUER.
Apologies to him and his whole Fucking family.

I'm actually old enough to remember watching the original cast and I thought Garrett Morris was just awful. It was quite obvious that he was merely reading his lines and his delivery was terrible. I've learned years later that he was an actor/playwright with an impressive background. He studied at Julliard School of Music, and acted in several musicals on Broadway during the late 50's and 60's. It was a play that he had written that Lorne Michaels saw and was impressed by. Morris was not happy with the stereotypical parts he was given on SNL and it showed.
Even Eddie Murphy used him as an example when speaking for the time Jean Doumanian was brought in as the new producer of SNL - "She tried to 'Garrett Morris' me"
by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 5, 2024 2:13 PM |
Norm MacDonald - Arrogant, smarmy, and completely unfunny.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | August 5, 2024 2:17 PM |
Terry Sweeney Randy Quaid Robert "Don't call me Morton" Downey, Jr. Anthony Michael Hall Damon Wayens Horatio Sans
by Anonymous | reply 14 | August 5, 2024 2:28 PM |
R6 Agree. The episode with Peter Dinklage where they did a "Naked and Afraid" skit was fucking hilarious. Molly Kearney is about the unfunniest person ever. They really hyped her up with the whole "non binary" shit and that did her no favors either, her preachy weekend updates where she tried to do Chris Farley shit were always so cringey.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | August 5, 2024 3:16 PM |
Leslie Jones, by far.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | August 5, 2024 3:23 PM |
R6/R15 - they were in the classic 'Lisa from Temecula' sketch and was pretty much overshadowed by everyone at that table.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | August 5, 2024 3:26 PM |
Victoria Jackson
by Anonymous | reply 18 | August 5, 2024 3:42 PM |
Horatio Sanz was a piece of shit
by Anonymous | reply 19 | August 5, 2024 4:51 PM |
Nah, they all sucked!
by Anonymous | reply 20 | August 6, 2024 3:08 AM |
The aptly named Luke Null.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | August 6, 2024 3:17 AM |
Every cast member in the mid 80s.
Those years were the worst.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | August 6, 2024 3:22 AM |
This thread ended with/at R3..
by Anonymous | reply 23 | August 6, 2024 3:24 AM |
Leslie Jones, Kenan Thompson
by Anonymous | reply 24 | August 6, 2024 4:41 AM |
Norm McDonald, despite claims to the contrary.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | August 6, 2024 7:55 AM |
How did Kyle Mooney last so long?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | August 6, 2024 8:38 AM |
Victoria Jackson just wasn’t funny.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | August 6, 2024 12:02 PM |
I haven't watched it regularly since the'90s, so I'm sure there were plenty worse, but I've always hated Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | August 6, 2024 12:09 PM |
Leslie Jones was the worst. She shouted her lines and was constantly flubbing.
I loathe that fundie cunt Victoria Jackson, but she was a better sketch performer than Jones.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | August 9, 2024 3:18 PM |
This is one of the funniest SNL skits of all time. And it’s actually subversively brilliant with the twist and all. Can we un-cancel Louis C.K.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | August 9, 2024 5:25 PM |
Chevy Chase. MEDIUM talent. MEDIUM.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | August 9, 2024 6:24 PM |
R32 but fkin sexy as hell.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | August 9, 2024 6:27 PM |
Leslie Jones does not belong on this list. She was funny, I enjoyed her screeds on Weekend Update.
But everyone else on OP’s list was either an active irritant or a simple washout.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | August 9, 2024 6:35 PM |
Kenan Thompson. Long in the tooth, not a versatile actor.
Rob Schneider. Even before he became a political pain in the ass he was painfully unfunny.
Victoria Jackson’s politics are absolute crap and she’s not the sharpest tool in the shed, but she really made me laugh in the Miss Self Esteem Pageant sketch.
It’s hard for me to like anyone in the present cast but I think that’s me aging up.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | August 9, 2024 6:36 PM |
I don't understand the Leslie Jones love. She's yells and screams in order to cover up the fact she has zero talent. Comedy used to be about nuance and timing. She starts in fifth gear and ends in fifth gear.
Look at the current cast, they can't even read the cue cards without blatantly staring at them. It's so distracting and takes you out of the sketch. They're so amateurish It's like watching real people testimonials on commercials. If you go back and watch early episodes of SNL, you don't even notice they're reading cue cards. They knew how to deliver a line.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | August 9, 2024 7:00 PM |
Colin Quinn. Overall he was just too blue collar basic.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | August 9, 2024 7:07 PM |
R36 to be fair a lot of the characters she was portraying were loud type characters. Check this out.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | August 9, 2024 7:11 PM |
R38 because she had no range. Stop following me around.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | August 9, 2024 7:23 PM |
Leslie Jones only gained popularity because people in the media felt sorry for her after the Milo fanboy hacking incident.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | August 9, 2024 7:26 PM |
Denny Dillon, Darrell Hammond, Melanie Hutsell, Chris Kattan, Jenny Slate, Micheal O'Donoghue and everyone already mentioend
by Anonymous | reply 41 | August 9, 2024 7:41 PM |
R39 Bitch please. I merely posted what I saw and yours was the last. Don’t flatter yourself like that ever again.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | August 9, 2024 7:42 PM |
To me after I guess the original cast which I’m not that familiar except Chevy Chase being so so fine, the funniest cast were the Will Ferrel led late 90s/early aughts crew.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | August 9, 2024 7:45 PM |
And of course the funniest cast member of all time is Eddie Murphy.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | August 9, 2024 7:46 PM |
Pete Davidson had no reason being on SNL.
At some point, he started laughing in every skit he was in. The fact that he left the show instead of being let go amazes me.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | August 9, 2024 7:53 PM |
R45 He was funny and at some point became the biggest draw. You either have it or you don’t. Some people just have “it”.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | August 9, 2024 7:54 PM |
1! Horatio Sanz—the absolute worst, especially when paired with that asshat, Jimmy Fallon. Sanz can’t act, can’t read the cue cards, and yells to make up for his lack of talent and reading comprehension. Every “character” he played sounded the same. Fat, greasy, and ugly.
2. Molly Kearny—There’s no there. She could have one line (which she’ll flub) in an entire skit, and she stares at the cue cards the whole time. Not even interesting looking, just bland. This they/them is NOT FUNNY.
3. Colin Quinn—Couldn’t get through Weekend Update without flubbing. I don’t even think he understood what he was reading on the teleprompter.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | August 9, 2024 8:08 PM |
Who was that good looking light skin black dude on SNL from the early 2000s. He was pretty bad.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | August 9, 2024 10:19 PM |
Jenny Slate was on SNL? I have watched every season and I don't remember her
by Anonymous | reply 49 | August 9, 2024 10:47 PM |
Dennis miller
by Anonymous | reply 50 | August 9, 2024 11:00 PM |
It should be noted that the year SNL selected Leslie Jones, Tiffany Haddish auditioned 3 times and didn’t make the cut. She is now a household name.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | August 9, 2024 11:04 PM |
All is forgiven with Melanie Hutsell for her Jan Brady imitation.
The entire characterization in “The Brady Bunch” film was based on her parody.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | August 9, 2024 11:12 PM |
R33 = Goldie Hawn.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | August 9, 2024 11:12 PM |
Jenny Slate said Fuck on live tv and had a handful of appearances before she was dumped.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | August 9, 2024 11:13 PM |
Jimmy Fallon, always breaking character, laughing, and trying to be cute & draw attention to himself.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | August 9, 2024 11:33 PM |
R31 that was pretty funny! Thanks for posting.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | August 9, 2024 11:35 PM |
I have never understood the appeal of Kristen Wiig.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | August 9, 2024 11:36 PM |
Jimmy Fallon has gone from being the worst cast member of “Saturday Night Live” to being the worst talk-show host in history.
Anything Jimmy Fallon does is guaranteed to be the worst of whatever entertainment endeavor he embarks upon.
In addition, he also wins least sexual cast member in “Saturday Night Live” history. And that includes Rachel Dratch.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | August 9, 2024 11:45 PM |
R57 = Rose Byrne.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | August 9, 2024 11:46 PM |
R55 Tracy and Jimmy didn’t get along cause I didn’t know that? Tracy was pretty dam funny on SNL. For some reason I can’t remember any Fallon sketches.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | August 9, 2024 11:59 PM |
while I like Maya Rudolph... I don't find her funny or even talented. I just find her likeable.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | August 10, 2024 12:15 AM |
Finesse Mitchell. That’s his name. I didn’t even google, it finally hit me.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | August 10, 2024 12:19 AM |
The overuse of urban gay slang and phrases by mainstream culture. And it’s not that I resent mainstream culture from using it at all, they just drive it into the ground like they do everything lol. They did it woke even though gay black men didn’t create that. Its cause the white gays on Twitter popularize the shit and then flyover fraus play it out. My latest one of scorn is “Such and such understood the assignment”.

R61 Maya seems like a nice person, but not really talented.
I wonder if she'll get an Emmy nomination in 2025 for playing Kamala Harris.

It's 'moo'.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | August 10, 2024 6:56 AM |
People don’t like Horacio, I didn’t much either. But I must admit I do sometimes go around randomly shouting “I’m Carol!”
by Anonymous | reply 68 | August 10, 2024 7:07 AM |
I feel bad got quiet but talented cast members caught in a group with louder, more showy people. Mary Gross is hilarious.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | August 10, 2024 4:38 PM |
R55 - I seemed to have made up because Tracy has been on the Tonight Show several times. I believe it was while he was a cast member the Tracy complained in interviews that he didn't like when Jimmy and Horatio (mostly) would crack up during their sketches. At some point, Jimmy always laughed, but I guess Lorne liked him so much that he didn't care. But it really pissed Tracy off. From NY Magazine:
Tracy Morgan was always pissed that his Saturday Night Live co-star Jimmy Fallon usually cracked up during sketches. He was always “laughing and all that dumb [bleep] he used to do,” Morgan complains to Penthouse, according to “Page Six.” “He wouldn’t mess with me because I didn’t [bleep]ing play that s–t. That’s taking all the attention off of everybody else and putting it on you, like, ‘Oh, look at me, I’m the cute one.’ I told him not to do that s–t in my sketches, so he never did.”

op just because you're bitter victoria jackson later came out as a christian is no reason to say she was the worst. her schitck was hilarious as a fruit loop. Leslie Jones was scary lookin but bitch was hilarious.
by Anonymous | reply 71 | August 10, 2024 5:15 PM |
i remember victoria jackson appearing on the tonight show one time. johnny carson fed into her being a complete airhead and it was so funny. she brought a ukelele and sang a totally stupid song with hilarious lyrics about being naked in the shower with a married man. she laughed at the absurdity of what she was singing and johnny's reaction to her singing it. i remember watching it and almost falling out of my chair because it was so funny.
