She looks absurd. For a while she was looking like a middle-aged ho. Now she looks plastic.

I *LIKE* Marie. At least she's not a shrill MAGA harpy. I've had some dealings with her in the past and she was nice, funny, and didn't do any of that "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM??" She even took a photo with me and her for my mother. As celebrities go, she is pretty down to earth.

Eldergays, remember the 1980 season of Donny and Marie when they did the "New Marie" makeover? They hired Bob Mackie to do " modern yet chaste". Gowns and wardrobe for her. I remember the promos on ABC. Apparently her mother offered design advice to Mr Mackie. The show was cancelled that season.

Reading between the lines I gather there has been a great deal of misery in her life. She and her brother Donny show clear signs of desperation. They're desperate to hold on to something they lost years ago, their good looks. Donny would probably have turned into a much sexier man if he'd just let time take its course with his face. He's always looked more like a girl than a boy. Some aging on his face, some character lines, and he could have become quite the studly daddy.

It's always pitiful to watch some of these entertainers try in vain to stay looking like themselves when they were young. I guess that's what fame and money does to some people. It clouds their minds and makes them do stupid things.
