I was a gay waiter once. I remember I had a kind of obnoxious customer who kept telling terrible jokes every time I approached his table and he said, “Why aren’t you laughing at my jokes?!” And in front of his guests I said, “Well, that’s the risk you take with comedy.” That shit him up.

I had this woman, in a really nice restaurant, who let her two kids tear the table apart, pour sugar all over including the floor and tear the fresh orchid apart and pour water on the table, etc. and of course I was glaring at her while I was cleaning this up and she sneered at me, “I bet you don’t have children!” And I said to her, “I guess you’ve never waited tables.” Shut that bitch up.

100% not a hoax. I lived in Wichita a few years and checked out a number of local sources and they are all legit. Btw- the waiter said 100% of the donations would be donated , he is not keeping any. Having grown up a gayling in a small town in Kansas 1970s, I am mighty proud of so many of my fellow Kansans. It’s been my experience in smaller towns , it is usually only a tiny number of really nasty, hateful bigots but they intimidate evryone else into compliance (or amnesia) .

Back in my salad days, I waited tables for awhile and I would have passed a table of all young men off to a female waitress. Groups of young men are never good tippers and you always see their faces instantly fall when you, as a guy, walked up to their table. They want a cute young girl to wait on them, not that it excuses this type of behavior, but it’s just a fact in that line of work.
