That cocky swagger is so annoying, unbelievable that we put up with it for 2 decades.
George Clooney is a horrible actor

"We" have?
I, for one, am not forced to watch movies with actors I don't like.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | July 20, 2024 9:51 PM |
That’s nice. OP. Now, run along.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | July 20, 2024 9:54 PM |
That’s nice, R2 . Now, run along.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | July 20, 2024 9:57 PM |
Yep! I only cared about his GG episode and "Batman and Robin", but after his recent political stunts, I'm done. He's just another one of those one note actors who gets paid millions for the same character- basically himself.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | July 20, 2024 9:58 PM |
R4 I bet he’s a different character in a dungeon with Rande, as they approach a twink on a board with whips. Allegedly.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | July 20, 2024 10:00 PM |
I know you’re mad, but he has put in an incredible body of work like the one where he befriends a tennis ball on an uncharted desert isle, and, of course, Schindler’s List. And he’s equally at home in breezy comedies like You’ve Got Mail.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | July 20, 2024 10:01 PM |
OP- He might be a horrible actor but I bet he's a very good COCKSUCKER and sexy BOTTOM.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | July 20, 2024 10:05 PM |
Fantastic performance in Michael Clayton.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | July 20, 2024 10:07 PM |
Clooney acts with his eyebrows.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | July 20, 2024 10:13 PM |
He’s no Cary Grant, despite the comparisons.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | July 20, 2024 10:15 PM |
He is not a greater to me OP but he has presence. He can be quite good in the right role, not much versatility though.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | July 20, 2024 10:17 PM |
Great actor*
by Anonymous | reply 12 | July 20, 2024 10:22 PM |
Real talk he was brilliant on Roseanne. Surprised me
by Anonymous | reply 13 | July 20, 2024 10:24 PM |
[quote] And he’s equally at home in breezy comedies like You’ve Got Mail.
The subject of this thread is George Clooney, who wasn't in You've Got Mail.
That's Tom Hanks in You've Got Mail.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | July 20, 2024 10:29 PM |
Is Real Talk a talk show?

George Clooney is dead to me.

Horrible actor with horrible taste in beards.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | July 20, 2024 10:46 PM |
I've never liked him, not even on "Roseanne." I don't like his weird smarmy swagger.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | July 20, 2024 10:47 PM |
I thought he was good in ER, but after that I couldn't name one thing he did.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | July 20, 2024 10:47 PM |
I agree OP and I would say he’s really more of a celebrity than a consistent box office draw. Arguably, the only hits he’s had are the Ocean films.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | July 20, 2024 10:48 PM |
OP is Hunter Biden
by Anonymous | reply 22 | July 20, 2024 10:49 PM |
R22: Ha! When Clooney got his Kennedy Center honor in 2022, I bet it killed him to be the second best looking guy in the room.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | July 20, 2024 10:51 PM |
He was good in One Fine Day. Arrogant, borderline sleazy NY journalist perfectly suited him and Michelle Pfeiffer was the only woman he ever had real chemistry with, other than the sliver of chemistry between JLo in Out of Sight.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | July 20, 2024 10:55 PM |
Hope you remember where you left that Kennedy Center honor, George. You're going to need to be sending it back
by Anonymous | reply 25 | July 20, 2024 10:56 PM |
I liked the Oceans movies. He’s pretty charming. I don’t need to see him play Macbeth but as long as he stays in his lane he’s handsome and charismatic. Doesn’t make him a great actor but he’s a pretty solid movie star.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | July 20, 2024 10:58 PM |
R23 Hunter Biden does not look better than George Clooney. Hunter is regular good looking you can find anywhere in America and balding.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | July 20, 2024 11:04 PM |
There was an episode of American Dad 15 or 20 years ago called "Tears of a Clooney" about Francine's obsessive hatred for George Clooney. It was glorious.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | July 20, 2024 11:28 PM |
That head nodding thing he does is kind of distracting.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | July 20, 2024 11:28 PM |
Horrible actor and a total....*#&
You guessed it!
by Anonymous | reply 31 | July 20, 2024 11:30 PM |
He’s wonderful in The Descendants.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | July 20, 2024 11:42 PM |
Poor Georgie, has to do as his beard says or her arms dealing family might have one of their Hamas associates throw him off a building as is their custom with gay men.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | July 20, 2024 11:42 PM |
He was at his best on E.R. He is at his worst in his stupid commercials.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | July 20, 2024 11:46 PM |
Is The Clooney Foundation a money laundry for the equine beard's arms dealer uncle Ziad Takieddine who supplies Hamas & Hezbollah?
Shame on all the Jewish celebrities who show up to support his self-aggrandizing Clooney Foundation Albie Awards. Proceeds probably all go to the beard's shady arms dealing family. Her family has him over a barrel, they know his secrets. His Fixers really screwed up hiring her to "marry" him.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | July 20, 2024 11:47 PM |
One note actor.
Wide eyed mugging for the camera or cocking his head to the side and nodding.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | July 20, 2024 11:49 PM |
Twink Hole Destroyer

[quote] ...or cocking his head to the side ...
AWK!!! YES!
Drove me crazy when I used to see him do that. One of those stupid, too often used movements.
Thank you, R36.

He has zero chemistry with horsey Julia Roberts. Why do they keep doing movies together?
And what's with him and horsey, masculine looking women? Horsey "wife". That Italian beard he had years ago looked like Steven Tyler.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | July 21, 2024 12:26 AM |
R39 There is nothing masculine looking about “horsey” Julia Roberts.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | July 21, 2024 1:51 AM |
Anybody remember when the Clooney loon was having daily meltdowns on the IMDb forums until she got them shut down? Remember how she claims she was clooney's fling secret protégé/piece of ass or something like that? And how he was helping her with her career? Remember how she flipped her Bag Lady grocery cart when Clooney got engaged to Amal? The death threats?
by Anonymous | reply 41 | July 23, 2024 2:44 AM |
He was a great goof in O, Brother, Where Art Thou.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | July 23, 2024 2:56 AM |
Thank you OP and contributors. This post is long overdue. I’ve never believed him on any screen.Handsome and a nice guy of course but I saw that way back on “facts of life” . We’re all supposed to over look average to bad acting because he’s affable-fuck you Clooney.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | July 23, 2024 3:09 AM |
He played (Sela Ward) Teddy's cop boyfriend on Sisters for a season or two.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | July 23, 2024 4:10 AM |
I don't think anyone would claim Clooney is a great actor. He has a specific persona that he brings to every movie and either you're into that or you're not. I would compare him to someone like De Niro or Drew Barrymore.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | July 23, 2024 5:41 AM |
Agreed with R42. He was good on only that one role that i van recall: O Brother, Where Art Thou?
He was no Tim Blake Nelson, mind no, nor even a John Turturro or a Charles Durning, but as the sixth or so best of the named roles in an excellent and well cast film, he was good.
Otherwise, no, nothing memorable.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | July 23, 2024 8:18 AM |
*that I can recall
*mind you
by Anonymous | reply 47 | July 23, 2024 8:19 AM |
Brilliant on Roseanne and great in Michael Clayton? Neither happened. He wasn't good in Up in the Air either.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | July 23, 2024 8:49 AM |
He hasn't been -good- in anything.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | July 23, 2024 8:49 AM |
I think he’s hot.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | July 23, 2024 8:55 AM |
^^^ Is this supposed to turn us into fans? Even a stopped, twink-murdering, arms-dealer-money-taking asshole can accidentally be right sometimes.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | July 23, 2024 12:46 PM |
Why have you spent 20 years "putting up with" bad performances.
Most of us just skip the performances we don't like.
Is there something wrong with you?
by Anonymous | reply 53 | July 23, 2024 1:02 PM |
OP = Noah Wyle
by Anonymous | reply 54 | July 23, 2024 1:29 PM |
I like the “beard” scenario-anything’s possible in Hollywood
by Anonymous | reply 55 | July 23, 2024 1:39 PM |
Clooney is not a great actor but can be very convincingly in the right roles….. Loved him in Michael Clayton….. That being said….. He is on the right side of the political aisle and a great fundraiser and donates huge sums for the democratic process.. Glad he is on our side
by Anonymous | reply 56 | July 23, 2024 1:48 PM |
Clooney’s looks more like Hunter Biden everyday-maybe a film together. yeah right.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | July 23, 2024 1:53 PM |
He just endorsed Kamala.
