Yep! I only cared about his GG episode and "Batman and Robin", but after his recent political stunts, I'm done. He's just another one of those one note actors who gets paid millions for the same character- basically himself.

I know you’re mad, but he has put in an incredible body of work like the one where he befriends a tennis ball on an uncharted desert isle, and, of course, Schindler’s List. And he’s equally at home in breezy comedies like You’ve Got Mail.

I agree OP and I would say he’s really more of a celebrity than a consistent box office draw. Arguably, the only hits he’s had are the Ocean films.

I liked the Oceans movies. He’s pretty charming. I don’t need to see him play Macbeth but as long as he stays in his lane he’s handsome and charismatic. Doesn’t make him a great actor but he’s a pretty solid movie star.

Thank you OP and contributors. This post is long overdue. I’ve never believed him on any screen.Handsome and a nice guy of course but I saw that way back on “facts of life” . We’re all supposed to over look average to bad acting because he’s affable-fuck you Clooney.

He played (Sela Ward) Teddy's cop boyfriend on Sisters for a season or two.

I don't think anyone would claim Clooney is a great actor. He has a specific persona that he brings to every movie and either you're into that or you're not. I would compare him to someone like De Niro or Drew Barrymore.

He was no Tim Blake Nelson, mind no, nor even a John Turturro or a Charles Durning, but as the sixth or so best of the named roles in an excellent and well cast film, he was good.
