Tiger Woods says he lost sleep over Trump assassination attempt
“I didn’t accomplish a lot because I wasn’t in the right frame of mind,” Woods told BBC Sport on Tuesday. “It was a long night (because of the assassination attempt) and that’s all we watched the entire time on the on the way over here. I didn’t sleep at all on the flight, and then we just got on the golf course.”
Fifteen-time major champion Woods was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2019 – shortly after his comeback win at the Masters – by Trump, who was wounded in the shooting that saw one rally attendee killed and two others seriously injured.
