I just inherited a large private collection of Nna Simone and Billie Holiday

Someone left you a large record collection of these two and you never listened to the two singers? What was the point?

How old are you? You don't already have a long experience with these two singers?

Nina Simone is the more interesting but also the more frequently unlistenable.

If something unexpected happens to you, can I have your stuff? These private collections, specifically?

I love both and have periods to listening to both at times, but overall I think i have listened to Simone more.

I don't care a lot for Simone, love Holiday.

Is this a made-up question? Did it really happen? Why would you need advice on which singer to listen to first?

Just telling you the truth.

Both . Billie's life was a lot more mysterious and interesting. Not to mention troubled. She had a very unique voice. Wouldn't call it pretty. It's quite rough. But still so emotional. You felt like she is feeling each and every word she sang. Nina had a very pleasant voice, also wasn't ruined by cigarette, cocaine and dope so had a lot longer career. I liked her most in a minimalistic settings, with just her vocals and quiet instrument or two in the background. That's why I love Nina plays Piano so much. It's my favorite of hers. And heard that it is a favorite of hers. Wish she made more albums like that. When I'm down I'm usually listening Billie. When I'm somewhat alright, I prefer Nina.

I’m with r3. Billie makes for better background music while Nina was always taking risks (and sometimes failing). I remember a friend and being really stoned and putting on Nina’s “Pirate Jenny.” Scared the fuck out of us.
