Starring Demi Moore, Margaret Qualley, and Dennis Quaid. It got a lot of buzz at Cannes. It looks intriguing.
Cinematography does look very intriguing, haven't heard of this Coralie Fargeat filmmaker before.

Too bad it has a Quaid in it.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | July 11, 2024 3:07 PM |
R2, why? He's the only one of the three leads who knows how to act?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | July 11, 2024 3:11 PM |
Quaid taking a break from his creepy recent right-wing churchy filmography?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | July 11, 2024 3:13 PM |
This looks good. I see it when it comes out.
I'm not R2 but it's because he's a batshit crazy MAGA R3.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | July 11, 2024 3:13 PM |
[quote]why? He's the only one of the three leads who knows how to act?
Really? What great acting job will he ever be remembered for?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | July 11, 2024 3:21 PM |
I'm excited to see Demi in something new. She looks fantastic. I'm gay, but if I wasn't, I suspect she'd be my ideal woman.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | July 11, 2024 3:24 PM |
Look, I don't like his politics but he is a good actor. He was great in Traffic, The Rookie, and Far From Heaven. I also liked him in one of his earlier films from 1979, Breaking Away. He was fantastic in that film. I am not feeling this new film.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | July 11, 2024 4:11 PM |
The director did a movie called Revenge which is BRooootal. I loved it.
And the main villain is hot and his dick is on flagrant display.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | July 11, 2024 4:16 PM |
I’m excited about this film too and I am also really happy that it seems to be giving Demi Moore a moment.
I saw Kinds of Kindness earlier this week and was surprised by how much I enjoyed Margaret Qualley in it. She is absolutely a star to watch.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | July 11, 2024 4:19 PM |
Body horror films freak me out. But this looks good.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | July 11, 2024 4:49 PM |
Sorry, but the moment you decide to "act" in a film where a dog is tortured... and you also happen to support an orange-skinned pedophile, your acting talent doesn't mean shit.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | July 11, 2024 4:54 PM |
This looks like Titane and Love Lies Bleeding and the TV show Physical all mashed together, and I mean that as a compliment.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | July 11, 2024 5:05 PM |
R6, did I say that he ever gave a great performance? I said he knew how to act, which means he's a competent actor. Reading comprehension is hard...
by Anonymous | reply 14 | July 11, 2024 6:19 PM |
Was Quaid in “Crash?” Because I hate that movie.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | July 11, 2024 6:25 PM |
He was in neither of the Crash movies.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | July 11, 2024 6:29 PM |
Wow, she looks really good in that pic at OP. She seriously looks about 20 years younger than her age.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | July 11, 2024 6:56 PM |
I love love love Margaret Qualley. but that trailer was a bit much for me.
Put her in a movie where she's having hot wild lesbian sex, though, and I'm there, baby!
Oh -- and R10? You know she's a nepo baby, don't you? She's Andie MacDowell's daughter. If you want to see them acting together, check out Maid.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | July 11, 2024 7:26 PM |
Maid was hard to watch, but it was good, and it was the first time I've seen Qualley acting. In fact, I'm not sure I've seen her in anything else (and since I'm not into horror movies, won't be watching this one either).
I'm not r10, but I knew she was Andie's daughter going into watching Maid. I agree with r10 - I think she has acting chops and feel she has the potential to become a more prominent actor than her mother. I like her.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | July 11, 2024 7:31 PM |
R16 No, his career Crashed when he lost his looks and then became a BushTrumper
by Anonymous | reply 20 | July 11, 2024 7:31 PM |
That Megbitch took my dick, and I’ve come to get it BACK
by Anonymous | reply 21 | July 11, 2024 7:34 PM |
Margaret Qualley is a much better actress than her mother.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | July 11, 2024 8:11 PM |
Quaid never lost his looks. He just aged. Like everyone does.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | August 10, 2024 9:49 PM |
I'll pass on anything with MAGAT Quaid in it
by Anonymous | reply 24 | August 10, 2024 9:59 PM |
R24 you have a lot of growing up to do.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | August 10, 2024 10:04 PM |
LOL at the “Dennis Quaid is MAGA!”, I’m altering my life because of it! Yassss Kweens! Their Brat Summers in the future will look different under an ultra woke Kamala regime.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | August 10, 2024 10:09 PM |
This looks absolutely epic-
by Anonymous | reply 27 | August 10, 2024 10:13 PM |
I love Margaret Qualley, and I'll watch (almost) anything she's in.
So I'm looking forward to it.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | August 10, 2024 10:44 PM |
It's interesting that French women are making good body horror movies (Titiane referenced above).
by Anonymous | reply 29 | August 10, 2024 10:49 PM |
Yes, R25, as a grown adult, I choose to not give my money to someone who espouses a right-wing ideology. If you take issue with that, I suggest that you grow up.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | August 10, 2024 10:52 PM |
R28 based on your posting history you don’t seem to know if you’re a senior lesbian or not. Your posts are all over the place.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | August 11, 2024 5:09 AM |
R30 the money doesn’t go to him. He was paid already regardless if you see it or not.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | August 11, 2024 5:10 AM |
Our lawn guy and his wife went to the local Film Festival to see it and said it's weird/interesting and Demi fully nude was scary. Pity about Dennis being in it.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | August 16, 2024 9:34 AM |
I love Margaret Qualley despite her being a nepo baby. She is adorable, seems genuinely weird, and is a really good actress—better than her mother I think. She also never comes across as a haughty, spoiled cunt (see Emma Roberts). She seems relatively down to earth. Apparently she had to wear fake tits for this movie.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | August 16, 2024 9:42 AM |
Is Margaret Qualley a better actress than Maya Hawke?
by Anonymous | reply 36 | August 16, 2024 9:53 AM |
Anything with extreme close-ups of mouths is a turn-off.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | August 16, 2024 11:26 AM |
Meh ... Another "beauty kills" storyline like Wasp Woman.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | August 16, 2024 1:32 PM |
Demi is going to go full Jamie Lee Curtis to get an Oscar nomination. Expect a full court PR push.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | August 16, 2024 1:48 PM |
To hear Demi talk about this movie gives me chills -- after all, look at what she did to her face!
by Anonymous | reply 40 | August 16, 2024 1:55 PM |
Who do you think should have won over JLC, R39? And don’t say Angela.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | August 16, 2024 2:18 PM |
Kerry Condon or Stephanie Hsu.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | August 16, 2024 2:47 PM |
R36 I think so. I also like her personality more.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | August 16, 2024 10:20 PM |
Margaret wasn’t bad in The Leftovers, starring as the daughter of Justin Theroux’s penis.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | August 16, 2024 10:33 PM |
I work and work 'til I'm half dead, and I hear people saying, "She's getting old." Tina! Bring me....the substance!
by Anonymous | reply 45 | August 16, 2024 10:47 PM |
No Madonna, snorting the substance doesn't make it work better. I tried already.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | August 16, 2024 11:03 PM |
FUCK!
by Anonymous | reply 47 | August 16, 2024 11:08 PM |
That interview at R35 is interesting. Demi seems to be dancing around the obvious here—that she herself is essentially the character in this story, desperate for youth. I suppose the fact that she took the role in the first place demonstrates her awareness of this. Not only did it speak to her I'm sure, but it also is reflective of her own vanity and relationship with the media and her appearance.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | August 16, 2024 11:15 PM |
Demi's going to go full on Jamie Lee to get the Oscar for this! She's going to push it way beyond pitching some yogurt that makes you crap and bring on some Gyne-lotrimin realness!
by Anonymous | reply 49 | August 16, 2024 11:50 PM |
Just watched the Polish cam version. Awesome movie, just maybe wished for a slightly different ending. Or maybe I need to sleep on it first.
Was that Jonathan Groff's voice on the phone?
by Anonymous | reply 50 | September 14, 2024 4:14 PM |
[quote] Margaret Qualley is a much better actress than her mother.
That's not setting the bar particularly high.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | September 14, 2024 4:16 PM |
I'll watch. Margaret Qualley - zzzzzzzzzz.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | September 14, 2024 4:22 PM |
r51 It's actually a comically low bar, lol. I'm pretty sure I'm a fucking better actor than Andie and I've never acted once in my life.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | September 14, 2024 4:23 PM |
I liked Margaret Qualley in Kinds of Kindness.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | September 14, 2024 4:46 PM |
R41 anyone in the category. Angela was much better in BP than JLC was in that overrated movie
by Anonymous | reply 55 | September 14, 2024 6:48 PM |
Angela Bassett was not winning for a superhero movie. It was never even on the table.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | September 14, 2024 6:53 PM |
AB WAS second.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | September 14, 2024 6:54 PM |
According to who, R57?
by Anonymous | reply 58 | September 14, 2024 6:59 PM |
Most bizarre film I’ve watched in a while.
I was thoroughly entertained though. Margaret Qualley is phenomenal in this.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | September 14, 2024 9:08 PM |
It’s Limitless meets Nip Tuck with some horror elements thrown in. I’m getting my 🍿.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | September 14, 2024 9:31 PM |
I mean, Nip/Tuck without any cosmetic surgery I guess.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | September 14, 2024 9:33 PM |
R59- Any chance Demi does get an Oscar nomination?
by Anonymous | reply 62 | September 14, 2024 9:57 PM |
R62 no. And I don’t see anyone placing this film on their Oscar predictions to begin with.
I don’t see this getting any Oscars outside of possibly for cinematography, designs and maybe a screenplay nomination. The film will be polarizing, mostly because of that final act. It’s a fun watch (to me) but the person I watched it with hated it.
Demi does a good job but it’s not an Oscar performance, especially in a lead category.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | September 14, 2024 10:03 PM |
Yup. She does a great job r64, like I said. But it’s not an Oscar performance.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | September 14, 2024 10:07 PM |
from the NYT article this made me laugh -
in 1991 for appearing hugely pregnant and beautifully nude on the cover of Vanity Fair, sending puritans to their fainting couches.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | September 14, 2024 10:14 PM |
R66 why did that make you laugh? Because you weren’t there for it? We remember people being outraged she appeared nude while pregnant. It was viewed as bold at the time.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | September 14, 2024 10:20 PM |
She was amazing. R68
by Anonymous | reply 69 | September 14, 2024 10:26 PM |
The film brings out so many ideas and feelings that I cannot even express, but all leading to get up and leave the theatre. I was not the only one, as more than half of the theatre room I was in was gone by the end.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | September 15, 2024 2:59 AM |
R70- INSANE> This sounds epic..
by Anonymous | reply 71 | September 15, 2024 3:03 AM |
R70 feelings? You’re making it sound way deeper than it was. If you’re a man I can’t imagine it giving you tons of “feelings”.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | September 15, 2024 3:10 AM |
I'm going to see it this coming Thursday night. It's one of my most-anticipated movies this year.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | September 15, 2024 5:29 AM |
r70 That's so crazy to me, I can't imagine paying for a ticket and then leaving, except if the movie is terminally boring. And this was NOT a boring movie.
by Anonymous | reply 74 | September 15, 2024 5:58 AM |
It's The Picture of Dorian Gray on steroids.
