This looks fantastic. Billy Bob Thornton, Jon Hamm, Ali Larter, and Demi Moore star in Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan’s new show ‘Landman’. Sheridan teams with Boomtown podcaster Christian Wallace for a drama set in the broiling, bug-infested Texas oil fields. “This was probably the hardest thing I ever did,” Thornton says.
I love Billy Bob as an actor, going to start watching this

Jon Hamm is looking good too, watching the first episode and it starts off with a bang

Demi Moore is in it too although most of the straight male audience is going to like the actress who plays Billy Bob's daughter

Does this take place in a retirement home?

Does Margaret Qualley replace Demi Moore every 7 days?

So far Demi Moore has been given very little to do

Is there anything more tiresome than “new Taylor Sheridan series”

I really loved the first few episodes but it’s becoming increasingly clear this show has no plot. Also, why is Demi Moore in this? She’s had like 2 lines and about 10 seconds of screen time.

"Jon Hamm is looking good too,"
Yea, that new wig hat is doing wonders for his looks.

Just like classes in college, I think Demi Moore is auditing different opportunities to see which one she wants to stick to. She was great in The Swans, but not enough of her for sure.

All his shows are just frames for soap opera plots.

WHET Ali Larter all these years?

I watched the first episode and goddamn it’s a snooze fest

You know what I really liked? The Dallas remake. Not that was really good. It’s a shame it only lasted like two years.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | December 23, 2024 8:09 PM |
where is it streaming?

Boring ass show.

Demi finally had another 3 lines. Good for her!

Finally got around to watching this.
It’s pretty good!
Season 2 is supposed to come out in December.

This show was a good idea done poorly. Everything with the wife and daughter felt like mindless filler. And the politics of it are insane -- Billy Bob's speech about the petroleum industry to the female lawyer is a pack of outright lies.
But it was watchable. The show could improve drastically with fewer scenes of the wife and daughter screwing around at a retirement home.

Is it as MAGA as some reviews are hinting at?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | August 10, 2025 10:00 PM |
It definitely embraces the “Texas” culture. But it doesn’t seem to be trying to glorify it.
The actor playing the son (Cooper) is fascinating to watch. He’s very well cast and beautiful. Those teefs, tho! With a mother as shallow as Ali Larter, would have had them fixed.

Pretty sure he's gonna get those fixed as soon as he's no longer on the show and that look isn't needed anymore. He almost never opens his mouth in photos and there are a lot of modelling photos of him out there. I wish him the best!
