Cataract Surgery

Last week had surgery on Right eye. During follow-up next day, doctor used two needles in my eye. At second follow-up, was told my eye is swollen the result of needles, Advised to continue drops and given lubricating drops. Spoke with four friends who've had the procedure. None had needles. If anyone here has had them, was the reason explained and how was your outcome?

Did you look up needles used during cataract surgery? Are these friends doctors? Why not call the doctor?
