Does this mean I'm a lesbian?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | July 5, 2024 1:41 PM |
If he stays in the race (which I doubt he will) it's going to be this way from now until November.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | July 5, 2024 1:41 PM |
NY Post, OP? Fuck off, CUNT.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | July 5, 2024 1:56 PM |
Can we consolidate the Biden-catastrophe threads?
by Anonymous | reply 8 | July 5, 2024 1:57 PM |
That's easy, R8, if we block anything from the NY Post.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | July 5, 2024 1:59 PM |
R7 What are you suggesting R7, that the NYPost made up the quote? That Biden didn't say it?

Gays, refusing to look at what is in front of our noses and selectively viewing media that censors or chooses not report on what you don’t want to see is how we got into this fucking mess.
You may bury your head in the sand, but the rest of the world won’t.
Screeching about the NY Post, and more recently, proudly proclaiming that you’ve canceled The NY Times, is not going to change the situation, nor will it change the perceptions of other people.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | July 5, 2024 2:30 PM |
At this point, the Democrats have two options, R16:
Go with Biden, and lose to Trump.
Go with some other person, and lose to Trump.
Sorry to bust your bubble but that's the reality of this incredible fuck up by the DNC. Arguing about it endlessly is pointless. The time to argue is long past now that the Dems have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

I love it when a screed opens with "GAYS..."
by Anonymous | reply 20 | July 5, 2024 2:43 PM |
Anybody who is seeing this continuing implosion and clings to the "he's not going anywhere" or "he just needs more sleep"bullshit is appalling.
And blaming the source of an actual quote is just further denial of recorded facts.
If Biden remains the Democrat candidate for president, tRump wins.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | July 5, 2024 2:46 PM |
Yeah I mean I hate Trump but to sit here and act like Biden isn’t out of it is just denial. You guys look as nutty as MAGA.
Thats why non-radical Democrats and liberals are in a jam. We’re not crazy and delusional party, although radical liberals are making that harder to see.
The fact that Democrats can admit Joe Biden is going senile is actually positive. It shows me that not everyone is fucking crazy.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | July 5, 2024 3:02 PM |
Meanwhile Trump is calling for imprisonment of the Bidens, execution of Lynn Cheney and a few other GOP non Trumpers and no one bats an eyelash…
by Anonymous | reply 23 | July 5, 2024 3:03 PM |
OFFS, anyone public speaking can make a gaffe, doesn't matter if you are 80 or 20. This pile on his fucking ridiculous. The people who are falling for this shit deserve Trump. Fuck all of you.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | July 5, 2024 3:07 PM |
R24, it’s not a gaffe when you do it 24/7. I’ll bet you didn’t even sit and watch that entire presidential debate. Biden is demented. He already had brain surgery.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | July 5, 2024 3:16 PM |

Maybe he is trying to get the trans community to vote for him and the scrambled pile of shit he calls a brain? I doubt that there are many other people left whore are willing to do so, at this point.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | July 5, 2024 3:24 PM |
R24, your post is exactly what I was thinking.
I watched precisely 2 minutes of the debate, and POTUS's shuffle and opening sentence of his opening statement, and knew 100% what the narrative would be from that Thursday until Election night. So I'm going Election Olympics-free until November 6--and even then I'll only be following results of my state and local elections.
I just cannot deal with this never-ending scrum: screeching; hot takes with NO proof, only speculation; the constant sackcloth and ashes routine, complete with hair-pulling.
We are sooooo done as a country.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | July 5, 2024 3:35 PM |
Historian who sucks, you are telling us about offering NO proof when you only watched 2 minutes of the debate? For a historian, you have a very sensitive temperament.

"(Do you realize how fucking stupid you sound?)"

"You people act like no one ever sideswiped an iceberg before! You all oohed and ahhhed at the ship when you boarded it. Would you have done the same thing if the deck was crowded with lifeboats? You're just as guilty as I am! Now get out of my way, that seat is mine."

Citing a melodramatic movie like "Titanic" does not make your wise or politically astute, R33.
It only makes you look like an even bigger asshole than you already are, if's that even humanly possible.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | July 5, 2024 3:53 PM |
Rachel Maddow is posting @ R23.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | July 5, 2024 3:59 PM |
That's "Mighty Joe" for you!
by Anonymous | reply 36 | July 5, 2024 4:06 PM |
He didn't say he's the "first black woman to serve with a black president". He was trying, in his inarticulate way, to give a list of all the black people in high politics that he's worked with, including the first black woman to serve as vice president and the first black president. Using black people as "tick boxes" to show what a great guy he is, is even more insulting towards black people in my opinion.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | July 5, 2024 4:15 PM |
R34 Popular movies are chosen because well-known references make it easier for allusions and comparisons to be understood by everybody.
Since Titanic is too lowbrow for your tastes, I'll accommodate you.
[bold]Interiors, Woody Allen, 1978.[/bold]
Joey (voters): It's ironic, I've cared for you so. And you have nothing but disdain for me. And yet I feel guilty.
Eve (Biden): OOOOOOOH! A CHALLENGE! (walks into ocean)

A loud minority of Democrats have never wanted to accept a moderate candidate. Little that the party does is enough for them and many would just as soon tear the whole thing down rather than accept the policy wins they could get by making less than perfect compromises.
They have a hard time finding something domestically to criticize Joe on, other than claiming that his initiatives didn’t go far enough, so this is what they have to drumbeat with.
It is understandable. The Democratic Party by nature attracts people who aren’t inclined to march in lock step in a group. It is, however, often a huge impediment when trying to get things done. Just look at the Republicans in the House to see how effective a party divided is at getting things done.

*Biden drops dead*
Me: "We need to swear in Kamala right away!"
You: "You're ALWAYS going to find something to criticize Joe on, aren't you! You were never going to give him a shot!"

Maybe he felt like a mafuckin black woman the day he said it. I’m sick of yall disrespecting theys.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | July 5, 2024 4:54 PM |
I still say Trump is going to try to find a way to back out of the debate.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | July 5, 2024 4:57 PM |
I listened to the tape. I think he was trying to say he was proud to have selected the first Black woman to serve as Vice President, but said “Black” instead of “Vice.” Just a slip of the tongue.
And I’m not a supporter of his staying on.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | July 5, 2024 5:02 PM |
R44 His gaffes have always been shit like that. I’m weirdo tho and found his gaffes sexy. But now he is just old old. The gaffes are becoming more frequent because his mind….nevermind people are going to accuse me of being a freeper.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | July 5, 2024 5:05 PM |
R43 Trump will back out of the debate? He didn't back out the first time and you saw what happened. The whole world saw it and is having a field day. You better believe Trump is looking forward to the next one, if Biden doesn't back out.
At this rate, Trump is going to win. Anyone who believes otherwise has the same level of dementia as Joe.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | July 5, 2024 5:09 PM |
R40, Three-fourths of the people you name didn’t win, and Bill only won the first time because Ross Perot split the vote.
I’m not claiming that the minority in question has enough power to decide who the nominee is, I saying that they are never satisfied with that nominee, are more than happy to exploit any opportunity to make their displeasure at the eventual outcome known, and often don’t vote or vote for a third party candidate.
