Why the hell does Austin Butler still talk like this?

IMO this is exactly the same as Hilaria Baldwin. I bet if someone went up to him BOO he would scream in his old voice.

Is like my "old" sexuality. Discarded when no longer profitable.

by Anonymousreply 2June 23, 2024 2:07 AM

There are only two explanations:

1. He is Autistic.

2. He is really Russell Mulcahy

by Anonymousreply 3June 23, 2024 2:10 AM

He's older - Just sounds deeper.

by Anonymousreply 4June 23, 2024 2:12 AM

R3 Russell do you know Austin? Was he up for Teen Wolf? Did he refuse to put out?

by Anonymousreply 5June 23, 2024 2:18 AM

R1 in all the before videos he’s trying to talk loud to be heard above the crowd and in the after videos he’s talking much quieter.

by Anonymousreply 6June 23, 2024 2:20 AM

OP you are making up stuff.

by Anonymousreply 7June 23, 2024 2:21 AM

He doesn’t sound different just deeper. Probably a smoker.

Roy Fitzgerald's manager thought his voice was too effeminate. Had him bark like a dog for a week. It scarred his vocal cords but deepened his voice into the masculine Rock Hudson voice and made his career. The old studios had vocal coaches that taught starlets how to speak. Wonder who did an Ava Gardner makeover on Butler? His gay agent James Farrell at William Morris Endeavor no doubt. He also did the sexuality makeover on his other client Nicholas Galitzine.

R8 Tru dat

by Anonymousreply 10June 23, 2024 3:11 AM

He takes himself really serious. I was surprised how good he was in Elvis even if the movie sucked. But he is profoundly unlikable on the screen playing an ordinary person. He's inauthentic

by Anonymousreply 11June 23, 2024 3:21 AM

I hear some vocal cord damage more than it being deeper.

by Anonymousreply 12June 23, 2024 3:25 AM

Say what you will about Timmy but rat boy has his own natural voice.

by Anonymousreply 13June 23, 2024 3:32 AM

If he showed us what was under these shorts, all would be forgiven.

r11 "He takes himself really serious."

Oh, dear!

by Anonymousreply 15June 23, 2024 3:53 AM

R9 Russell

How fucking gay are you?

by Anonymousreply 16June 23, 2024 3:15 PM

R14: Another minimal talent who thinks he's above doing nudity.

by Anonymousreply 17June 23, 2024 3:18 PM

His voice is just deeper.

But honestly who cares? Marilyn Monroe didn’t actually have a breathy voice.

by Anonymousreply 18June 23, 2024 3:22 PM

R16 Bon appetit fou.

Austin is so hot. Too bad he's straight.

by Anonymousreply 20June 24, 2024 4:44 PM

R20: He’s a fake climber and I don’t think he’s attractive at all.

by Anonymousreply 21June 28, 2024 8:18 PM

R1, you don't seem to have noticed that the clips in which Butler is speaking in his higher-pitched voice were from interviews done outside in the open air, which would naturally require more volume and a somewhat higher pitch for projection against background noise, whereas the clips with the lower voice were from interviews in enclosed studios.

Now that I've pointed something you should have noticed, will you change your opinion?

by Anonymousreply 22June 28, 2024 8:29 PM

[quote]I hear some vocal cord damage more than it being deeper.

I don't hear that at all. And if you're talking about vocal fry, which I also don't hear, that's not caused by vocal cord damage.
