Tragic story.

I met him a few years ago when he was still doing that drag act in a Puerto Rican bar in Humboldt Park. He went by the name: La Caverna. His drag performances were run-of-the-mill and generally ignored, but not his parlor trick of swallowing a cucumber into his rectum, meaning it disappeared up there entirely. Almost hypnotic. The audience went apeshit every time.

But Dug hated having to stoop to such freak show antics for applause and cash. He wanted his drag act to be so much more than shoving cucurbits into his gaping hole while a roomful of men looked in a quasi-paradoxical melange of curiosity, awe, and revulsion. He’d sometimes break the fourth wall and his drag act turned into a drunken confessional, where he bore out his frustration and disappointment amidst sobbing and screaming, all while aiming his crotch at the public with a large green vegetable slowly drawing into his mangina by the force of suction and sheer will.

He drifted out of the scene after the audience turned away from the pitiful spectacle, and before long showed up on Chaturbate, even more sad and desperate, but now hungry and in need of rent money. He’d sit on traffic cones for hours, an impressive feat, but the tokens were slow to come, mostly because his quiet crying while sliding up and down on the giant orange cone put patrons off.

His fentanyl OD last month surprised no one and saddened few. At nearly sixty years old, his shelf life as an “anal garbage disposal” (his Chaturbate handle) had expired, and there was really nowhere left to go but the Great Beyond.
