Bikini barista gets revenge after angry customer throws coffee at her

A barista has divided opinion online after taking revenge on a customer who threw his drinks at her.

Emma Lee, 23, who owns a Taste of Heaven Bikini Espresso in Seattle, had been serving a regular customer earlier this week when they had a disagreement over the price.

Emma explained that the order - which consisted of a 32 oz coffee and a 24 oz water - came to $22 (£17).

For reference, the average standard coffee is 12 oz.

Emma said that she often charges the man just $20, but this time, he insisted on paying less.

"You don’t get to name your own price," she told Fox 13.

"No one is forcing you to come here. The argument that he didn't know or was scammed doesn’t hold up. The prices are listed."

Footage released of the incident shows the pair debating the price, before the argument begins to escalate.

Furiosa's impact.

She disrespected him

by Anonymousreply 2June 18, 2024 10:02 PM

I say he sues her - and wins. She's so wrong in this case.

She’s legally wrong.

Morally, however, she should have busted out that entire windshield.

[quote]the order - which consisted of a 32 oz coffee and a 24 oz water - came to $22 (£17).

A 32oz. coffee is ridiculously large, yet that and a 24oz. water cost $22? Who the fuck pays $22 for a cup of coffee and a bottle of water?

In an expensive restaurant or hotel, that's still pricey if within the realm of reason - one might utter "wow" but not fall out of the chair, dragging the white tablecloth off as well. But at a drive-through coffee bar in Seattle?

For €30 ($32 equivalent) I could have 15 expresos or cafés con leche or Americanos --and good ones-- and get enough change back for more. And a bottle of water in a coffee bar would cost no more than €2, usually €1.20 or €1.30.

Trash

by Anonymousreply 6June 18, 2024 10:35 PM

The man is correct, of course.

He was being a jerk, so he got jerk in return

If you don't like the service, price or product you don't come back, not throw a 4 year old's tantrum

I blame Trump

I saw this video on Reddit. The way she wields that hammer? I don’t think this is her first rodeo, she nails and unhooks the hammer from the windshield like a champ.

^ She's been jilted by men before...

Of his pretty little souped up four-wheel drive

Carved my name into his leather seats..."

I blame Carrie Underwood

Bikini people problems.

[quote] Who the fuck pays $22 for a cup of coffee and a bottle of water?

Men who go to the establishment to be served by ladies with mostly exposed jiggling boobs.

Next question.

Team bikini barista. The guy is a regular and knows the price. Did he throw Ice coffee? I guess that's NOT assault. If it was hot coffee, it's definitely assault. If he didn't like the prices he should have stopped buying there.

by Anonymousreply 13June 18, 2024 11:28 PM

Throwing of any coffee and hitting the person would be assault. In fact, I'm not a lawyer, but I think even if it doesn't land, it's still "assault"; if it hits, it's "battery."

Why was there a hammer just laying around at a coffee bar? And so close and convenient that she could just grab it and go at him while he was still there?

by Anonymousreply 15June 18, 2024 11:45 PM

She wasn’t worth

by Anonymousreply 16June 18, 2024 11:55 PM

It's Seattle. King County Prosecutor Leesa Manion has legalized crime. She should have kept a shotgun handy.

by Anonymousreply 17June 18, 2024 11:55 PM

…$20, what a cheapskate

by Anonymousreply 18June 18, 2024 11:55 PM

I wouldn't have cared if she'd knocked him upside his head. It's about time people like that piece of shit see consequences. He's lucky it was just his car.

by Anonymousreply 19June 19, 2024 12:00 AM

He’s a disrespectful piece of shit and assaulted her so the windshield is a small price to pay for his actions.

by Anonymousreply 20June 19, 2024 12:01 AM

You don't live anywhere near Seattle, r17. That's the kind of bullshit a resident of Idaho would spew.

"Muh cousin drove to Seattle to show his kids all them Christmas lights and someone broke into his truck. The cops wouldn't even look for DNA samples. Crime is legal in Seattle thanks to the Demoncrats. It's Mogadishu with more trees".

by Anonymousreply 21June 19, 2024 12:03 AM

R15 Because she’s there by herself and has to put up with creeps like this asshole.
