...and in his infinite wisdom, decided to use the phrase "I'm grateful for every single BIT of it."
Armie Hammer, for whatever God knows reason, decided to do a podcast and address the cannibalism accusations

If anyone decides to subject themselves to listening to it, can they let us know if he actually denies any of the allegations made, or if he just talks around them as the quotes in the article suggest

So you think insane histrionic cunt lady tells the truth and Armie eats people, R3?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | June 16, 2024 9:48 PM |
Can AI listen to a podcast and give you a summary? That would be PERFECT for these types of podcasts.
His eyes flare for long periods of time and the first person who came to my mind was Marshall Applewhite.

Out of all the craziness to come out of #metoo, this one was the craziest and most full of bullshit. This man lost his career because of kink shaming and the madness of a jealous ex. End of story.

R8 I love sucking guys feet. I was just like Ford at that age.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | June 16, 2024 9:56 PM |
Fun fact, but foot fetishes arrive due to the areas in our brain controlling sexual desire and locomotion being located next to each other.
That's all.

The guy whose podcast it is is a good friend of Armie's; and also a fellow recovering addict. He's doing it as a friend.

I won't shame someone for any fantasy no matter how extreme. I think these things are decided at a young age and realistically cant be changed. My tolerance ends when they act on it in a way that harms domeone else. If he wants to jerk off thinking of eating people, that's cool. Disgusting, but cool. And it shouldn't cost him work. But if he harasses women who aren't into role-playing it, that's unacceptable.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | June 16, 2024 10:19 PM |
he should never have apologized. you can be as antisocial as you want and as long as you're shameless about it you'll actually be rewarded hugely. ex - influencers.

It may be archived in the House of Effie's storys but you'll have to dig through it. She brought it up relatively recently but she also showed screenshots that Elizabeth was involved in getting in touch with the guy for evidence in the divorce.
I barely remember anything about it other than he had a Latino name and accused Armie of severely beating him during their S&M sessions.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | June 16, 2024 10:21 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 32 | June 16, 2024 10:23 PM |
R29 - I think people naturally have a visceral, fearful response to such extreme kink even in fantasy form. I think the judgement comes from the "what ifs" about acting out those fantasies. Because some people have taken it further consensually or not.

That Discovery documentary included some clips which showed just how pathetic he is. One of the women went out of town for a wedding or something, and wasn't checking her phone. When she finally did there was a string of messages/missed calls from Hammer, and then clips he recorded himself of him going to her apartment.
A so-called dom acting like a needy little bitch is a huge turn off.

by Anonymous | reply 36 | June 16, 2024 10:56 PM |
I listed to the podcast on my commute. Most of what he says is addiction recovery and posttraumatic affirmations - nothing particularly groundbreaking, all very good and sensible and it appears to have helped him. He says his father died of brain cancer and not having work commitments allowed him to help with his caretaking as he succumbed to a grapefruit-sized tumor, so that his career downfall led to some good things because he was able to get closure on the issues he had with his father.
He does admit that his addiction cycles were fed by self-loathing. He would do drugs and drink when he was feeling unhappy about himself and do drugs and drink when he was feeling good about himself, as a reward. Much of what he says could have already been gleaned from before the scandal - that he was somebody who on that surface had everything someone could ask for but was very unhappy and constantly chasing validation. He says Instagram was a source for validation-chasing which lines up with his observed behavior, like the public s&m follows and hooking up with randos. Even his leaked raya photo had him standing nude in the ocean. If you've heard of the mnemonic PRAISE ME for people with histrionic personality disorders, it was a lot of that (other people who listed to the interview pointed out how often he says "I, me").
Of course none of this is actually the problem which resulted in his cancellation, he was cancelled because of many accusations of abusing women. He does not address this at all. Very early piece of gossip about him was that he was fired from one of his earliest roles, Gossip Girl. They were shooting a scene and Blake Lively was apparently being high-strung like actresses sometimes are, and he called her a cnt in front of the entire set. He was a nobody guest star and she was the star of the show. They had to continue shooting the scene and after they finished they removed him. If you want to see the scene, it's on Youtube. It's a Passover Seder with Wallace Shawn and everybody looks very tense.
So, interesting enough to hear him talk about how he dealt with his fall from grace but no real revelations about anything that makes this downfall so fascinating.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | June 17, 2024 5:20 PM |
He didn't deserve to be cancelled for being kinky.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | June 17, 2024 5:26 PM |
It’s this scene starting at :45. You can see how annoyed he looks at her and then when he leans forward it looks kind of threatening.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | June 17, 2024 5:30 PM |
r37 I don't think he should be cancelled, but he sounded very unprofessional. It was Blake's show and he was a guest star, you deal with the drama and thank your lucky stars for the paycheck. Though, he didn't need the paycheck, hence talking like that about Blake.
Honestly, he and Blake could have been a thing, considering her type of men. He really missed the ball on that one, but Blake wouldn't take that type of shit he pulls.

A bit of self-exposure there in that he apparently didn't even consider he could've chosen to take time off for his career to care for his father. The truth being he only got close with his dad again after the scandal because he had no other options.

I think many people who aren't particularly close with their parents wouldn't think of pausing their lives to care for a parent; ill or otherwise. As he said if this didn't happen he would likely have been working ( he was to be in "Shotgun Wedding" with JLo, "Gaslit" and a Tracy Letts play). His father was married so it was likely assumed she was caring for him.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | June 17, 2024 6:50 PM |
He wasn’t cancelled for being kinky.
He was cancelled because all of these women said he sexually assaulted them and all the kink was non-consensual. The woman he was with while he was separated claimed he cut a piece of her stomach off and ate it and branded her with a hot iron or something.
80% of Effie’s DMs were photoshopped.

by Anonymous | reply 50 | June 17, 2024 7:44 PM |
It’s disingenuous to say he wasn’t cancelled for kink. That is the joke. This big handsome guy with a stupid name and a rep for being a spoiled brat is secretly a cannibal. Family Guy mocked him and he was on that show. Vorarephilia, especially hardcore vore which he was into, is a very unusual fetish many people are uncomfortable with, just like necrophilia or whatever philia it is watching people get killed. While practicing it is obviously very illegal, if he had fantasized it on his own time in private or anonymously online, it would not have been a problem.
Here is the problem.
He told people.
Why did he tell people?
He obviously wasn’t going to do it.
He told people because he got off manipulating and scaring women. He got off on bringing the fantasy of abuse onto people who wouldn’t understand it. The two girls who spoke to the press were both vanilla girls. Even excluding the vorarephelia fantasies, you don’t just bring vanilla people into BDSM relationships. BDSM has to be handled very carefully OR YOU WILL BE ACCUSED OF RAPE. You have to educate yourself and the partner about etiquette, consent and aftercare. He did not do this. He got off on the sexual sadism which is why he targeted both inexperienced women and women who were of much lower social status than him - the two girls were wannabe influencers who could be easily seduced by getting so close to fame. That was intentional.
The scandal even broke in the first place because he kept arranging to meet randos on the Internet, his “kittens” and then blowing them off. That was the goal - humiliation.
There is a parallel universe in which Armie Hammer could have educated himself about BDSM, practiced it correctly, and even gone public with it and remained popular - after all 50 Shades of Grey was a huge phenomenon. But that could not have happened in this one because he could not control his desire to manipulate women.
And why was he so sloppy about it? For the same reason anyone who cheats is sloppy - he wanted to be caught.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | June 17, 2024 8:21 PM |
[quote]It’s disingenuous to say he wasn’t cancelled for kink
No it isn't. It's not the kink that got him cancelled, it's the abuse. Simple as that.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | June 17, 2024 8:26 PM |
There's a difference between mockery and being cancelled. If he'd been exposed as just being into kink it would've passed. His career ended because he abused women.
Idiots need to stop trying to make excuses for him.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | June 17, 2024 8:31 PM |
Nope. His career would be just as over if he was exposed for necrophilia, beastiality, or coprophilia fetishes which he never acted on. It is just not something the public understands
by Anonymous | reply 55 | June 17, 2024 8:34 PM |
What a moronic comparison.
The fact he's into kink was never a secret. He was openly talking about the tying up element long before anyone knew who Effie was.
On top of which, if he never abused women, it's likely his other kinks would never have come out. They only did so because he deliberately sought women inexperienced with kink. If he'd gone with pros they would've been far more likely to be discreet.
Saying he got cancelled for being kinky is like saying a rapist was arrested for liking sex. In both cases it's got nothing to do with sex but a desire to abuse and control.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | June 17, 2024 9:21 PM |
He meant “bite.”
by Anonymous | reply 57 | June 17, 2024 9:23 PM |
But you are not registering that there are different levels of acceptance for fetish. Kink can be a pair of handcuffs and a blindfold. That’s not what damaged his reputation. It is always going to be about the cannibalism fetish because Armie’s marketability was in his desirability. If people found out he was into bestality and he never hurt an animal, his career would have been just as over.
The entire basis of your argument rests on Hollywood being ethical. It is not.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | June 17, 2024 9:58 PM |
r58 Who the fuck argued anything about Hollywood being ethical? That's just a bullshit strawman you made up. The only reason Hollywood cared is that he got found out and that he didn't do good box office. Oh, and blackmailing his agent.
And again, you're talking about damaged reputation. I'm talking about what ended his career. Which was the abuse. You keep trying to conflate the two just so you can back up the idiots saying "he was only cancelled because he was kinky". No, he wasn't kinky, he was an abuser. People laughed about the cannibalism thing because it was ridiculous, they were sickened by his abuse of women.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | June 17, 2024 10:23 PM |
...except he hasn't been charged or convicted of anything. In the eyes of the law, there is no abuse. Jonathan Majors career would have survived if he was found not guilty.
[quote] I'm talking about what ended his career.
What ended his career was typing "I am 100% a cannibal."
by Anonymous | reply 60 | June 17, 2024 10:42 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 65 | June 18, 2024 12:44 AM |
I still think most of his problems stemmed from his insane monster-wife who went nuclear, colluded and made up shit with his even crazier girlfriends, ran to the press with the lurid tales of his infidelity and kinks to enact revenge for humiliating her, all to ultimately force him to kill himself so she could have the Hammer fortune all to herself.

R66, that sounds like a good 1990s movie.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | June 18, 2024 1:24 AM |
I actually think the problem was that a lot of his psychological issues come from his relationship with his mother, and instead of getting away from her, he married someone exactly like her.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | June 18, 2024 1:29 AM |
The PRAISE ME mnemonic. Sound accurate?
Provocative (or seductive) behavior
Relationships are considered more intimate than they actually are
Attention-seeking
Influenced easily
Speech (style) wants to impress; lacks detail
Emotional lability; shallowness
Make-up; physical appearance is used to draw attention to self
Exaggerated emotions; theatrical

Even if it was about the kink, he is not an office clerk or worker in the warehouse who could sue the company for being unlawfully dismissed because of his private sexual preferences and kinks.
His work depends on his desirability to general public. No one is going to put him in a movie or TV show if his kink makes audience stomach churn. Whatever role you give him, people will think about his cannibalism and it could spoil the whole project. Maybe he could be used in horrors or for some creepy characters, but I guess it will not be Ruth Bader nice husband again.

by Anonymous | reply 74 | June 18, 2024 12:58 PM |
Marrying Elizabeth was the worst thing he could have done because it exacerbated his Madonna/whore complex. Having Elizabeth be so dominating probably resulted in him being more violent on his sidepieces.
These were the Datalounge posts. It’s very clear that his violent fantasies were fueled by his sense of emasculation. Especially since his wife controlled the money for some strange reason.

“He's into tying girls up, choking them out, being worshipped and rape play, preferably anally.”
See my theory is that his mom handed him off to one of her crazy fundie associates when he was a kid, he got molested or raped, and became obsessed with punishing women to “punish” his mother for failing to protect him.
The thing that sticks out is “humiliation fetish.” The sub is the one with the humiliation fetish, not the dom. But if he was recreating the sexual abuse he suffered as a child, then by putting himself in the place of the rapist as the dom, he would also be humiliating himself because he projects himself onto sub. Thereby recreating and reliving the trauma.
CNC can be a way for rape victims to work through their trauma but you have to be at your core an empathetic person. He doesn’t.
