Will you be watching!? It starts at 8pm on CBS

by Anonymousreply 606June 17, 2024 3:27 AM

Op I bet you’re jumping for joy

by Anonymousreply 1June 16, 2024 8:57 PM

We told you no separate threads! Jesus Christ

by Anonymousreply 2June 16, 2024 8:58 PM

Spectrum News 1 is on the “Red Carpet” (it’s blue this year) covering the Tony’s. At 6:30 you can watch the pre show on Pluto

by Anonymousreply 3June 16, 2024 9:04 PM

I'll be signing out for the evening -I'm on the West Coast and don't want spoilers.

Happy Tonys!

by Anonymousreply 4June 16, 2024 9:16 PM

Don’t the Tony’s air live out west but at 5pm?

by Anonymousreply 5June 16, 2024 9:17 PM

In LA they're on live at 5:00 and repeated at 8:00, r4.

by Anonymousreply 6June 16, 2024 9:19 PM

The Tonys are showing the same night as the House of the Dragon Season 2 premiere. Yeah, that was smart CBS. 🙄

by Anonymousreply 7June 16, 2024 9:19 PM

This basic bitch has basic cable, so only the 8:00 replay is available.

by Anonymousreply 8June 16, 2024 9:22 PM

What r6 said. I remember watching the show live at 5pm in LA back in 2019.

by Anonymousreply 9June 16, 2024 9:23 PM

R8 it airs on CBS. You don’t even need cable to watch.

by Anonymousreply 10June 16, 2024 9:23 PM

R7 The Tony’s has a niche audience. The only people who watch it are theatre fans. It isn’t like the Emmys or Grammys or Oscars. Almost everyone watches tv and movies and listens to music. Not everyone goes to the theatre or follows any of it.

by Anonymousreply 11June 16, 2024 9:24 PM

I can't wait to cringe at Ariana DeBose's opening number.

by Anonymousreply 12June 16, 2024 9:24 PM

Is Noah Galvin trying to show off his manicure?

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 13June 16, 2024 9:34 PM

So many talks of channels here. For those of us on the east coast, it's CBS at eight for the live show right?

by Anonymousreply 14June 16, 2024 9:35 PM

Closeted Skylar Astin looking yummy.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 15June 16, 2024 9:37 PM

R14 yes. And it’s on CBS out West at 5pm. It’s on CBS all over the country.

by Anonymousreply 16June 16, 2024 9:38 PM

Tonight would be a good time for Eddie Redmayne to officially come out.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 17June 16, 2024 9:42 PM

Thanks Marcia GAY HARDen R15

by Anonymousreply 18June 16, 2024 9:43 PM

Why would Skylar be closeted?

by Anonymousreply 19June 16, 2024 9:58 PM

Get a room you two!

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 20June 16, 2024 10:14 PM

That’s Queer Joy, r20!

by Anonymousreply 21June 16, 2024 10:17 PM

A demure look from Billy

by Anonymousreply 22June 16, 2024 10:19 PM

Who’s the woman interviewing the stars alongside Frank DiLella? She’s actually not bad, at least compared with some of his red carpet co-hosts in the past.

by Anonymousreply 23June 16, 2024 10:19 PM

R19 he isn’t. Just DL gays with their wishful thinking.

by Anonymousreply 24June 16, 2024 10:20 PM

R11: Broadway loves gays and blacks. Hollywood barely tolerates blacks and despises gays.

by Anonymousreply 25June 16, 2024 10:23 PM

I just hope the Broadway League doesn’t go for these one-note screaming performances like Sarah Paulson and Kara Young.

by Anonymousreply 26June 16, 2024 10:25 PM

R25 theater isn’t the same in general. It’s live entertainment. A completely different monster than film or television. TV is all about the writers. Films are all about the Directors. Theater is all about the actor. Not just any actor can do theater. Some actors rely on the editing.

Also, theater isn’t released all over the country. A tv show can be viewed by anyone anywhere. A film can be viewed by anyone anywhere. But to see a play or musical you have to go to it because it’s live in one location.

by Anonymousreply 27June 16, 2024 10:28 PM

Oh, they just said her name. Ana Villafane.

by Anonymousreply 28June 16, 2024 10:28 PM

R28 she’s an actress.

by Anonymousreply 29June 16, 2024 10:29 PM

The Gay Super Bowl.

If you talked to most of my friends, you’d think the world is on pins and needles, wondering who will win.

A friend invited us over to watch but insisted we could not speak except during commercials.

by Anonymousreply 30June 16, 2024 10:30 PM

Sounds like a difficult host to please, tbh. You tell everyone to STFU once they actually start chatting loudly, not beforehand. Lol.

by Anonymousreply 31June 16, 2024 10:35 PM

I'd like to see Daniel Radcliffe win for Merrily.

He's come a long way since Potter and deserves recognition for taking chances and not simply cashing those checks.

Miracle Workers is hilarious.

by Anonymousreply 32June 16, 2024 10:37 PM
He's come a long way since Potter and deserves recognition for taking chances and not simply cashing those checks.

Absolutely, r32.

by Anonymousreply 33June 16, 2024 10:40 PM

ACT One is on Pluto right now. They award the “lesser” categories

by Anonymousreply 34June 16, 2024 10:41 PM

Suffs wins its first Tony for best book. Probably be the lone win for the show this evening as the winds are leaning toward Outsiders

by Anonymousreply 35June 16, 2024 10:42 PM

I don't know any of the shows, actors, stars or anyone involved. I feel so old.

by Anonymousreply 36June 16, 2024 10:45 PM

Skylar Astin is absolutely handsome, though I do think he looks better with scruff / facial hair. He looks like porcelain without it.

by Anonymousreply 37June 16, 2024 10:45 PM

Is that useless bitch Hillary there?

by Anonymousreply 38June 16, 2024 10:46 PM

R36 if you don’t follow theater why would you even watch?

by Anonymousreply 39June 16, 2024 10:48 PM

Angelina Jolie is there so cameras keep spanning to her.

by Anonymousreply 40June 16, 2024 10:48 PM

The pre-show awards are being handed out with the utmost ease and dignity. Glad to see that! Wish they were all part of the regular show though (like the old days).

by Anonymousreply 41June 16, 2024 10:50 PM

I don't know any of the shows, actors, songs or presenters. I feel so old. Can we have an R&H revival?

by Anonymousreply 42June 16, 2024 10:51 PM

Amy Ryan had some scenes with Angelina Jolie in CHANGELING years ago. Maybe they’ll reconnect.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 43June 16, 2024 10:52 PM

So missed the first 15 minutes. What other awards did they give out besides best book?

by Anonymousreply 44June 16, 2024 10:53 PM

Orchestrations _ Jonathan Tunick for MERRILY

Costumes (PLay) - Dede Ayite for JAJA

Costumes (Musical) - Linda Cho for GATSBY

Set (Musical) - Tom Scutt for CABARET

by Anonymousreply 45June 16, 2024 10:57 PM

Did QAaron Rodgers show up again this year with the super masculine butch Chiefs kicker as his bro date?

by Anonymousreply 46June 16, 2024 10:59 PM

David Zinn looks like he has been through it!

by Anonymousreply 47June 16, 2024 10:59 PM

I know David Zinn and he has!

by Anonymousreply 48June 16, 2024 11:02 PM

Audra looking a little hefty…too many egg rolls, Mr Goldstone!

by Anonymousreply 49June 16, 2024 11:02 PM

Will Madeleine Kahn get a special tribute tonight?

by Anonymousreply 50June 16, 2024 11:04 PM

Chita Rivera is being honored tonight.

by Anonymousreply 51June 16, 2024 11:06 PM

God, how I [italic]hate this night ! !

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 52June 16, 2024 11:07 PM

Choreography isn't considered big enough to be awarded on the CBS broadcast? Ugh.

by Anonymousreply 53June 16, 2024 11:11 PM

No, it’s not!

I may as well have Property of Pre-Show Awards [italic]tattooed on my ass!

by Anonymousreply 54June 16, 2024 11:17 PM

Well then they should honor Tony Mordente as well. Will both be on the Oscars In Memoriam next year?

by Anonymousreply 55June 16, 2024 11:24 PM

Sarah Paulson seems insufferable to me. She comes off so pretentious and stuck up in interviews

by Anonymousreply 56June 16, 2024 11:24 PM

He will. She won’t!

by Anonymousreply 57June 16, 2024 11:25 PM

Holland was having a side convo with her 2 woman play co-star (the NY1 reporter) while Frank interviewed Sarah.

by Anonymousreply 58June 16, 2024 11:31 PM

The 94 revival of Damn Yankees was the first show I saw on Broadway. Jack O’Brien revised the book. Apparently Mr. Abbot didn’t love it.

by Anonymousreply 59June 16, 2024 11:31 PM

Sarah came off rude to her costar

by Anonymousreply 60June 16, 2024 11:32 PM

Jolie is one of the producers of Outsiders. They're looking for it to be a national goldmine and closing it on Broadway in a year. It's in a mid-size house so even full price sold out it brings in peanuts to these people.

I was told this by somebody who works front of the house but it's hard for me to believe if it wins Best Musical.

by Anonymousreply 61June 16, 2024 11:33 PM

Sarah Paulson was annoying in that segment with Julianne Hough. Yikes

by Anonymousreply 62June 16, 2024 11:33 PM

r27 thanks for gaysplaining the obvious. We’re in your debt.

by Anonymousreply 63June 16, 2024 11:36 PM

Ohhhh…he said fuck!

by Anonymousreply 64June 16, 2024 11:39 PM

Jesus Christ, you know Billy Porter is going to be bitching about being relegated to Pluto.

by Anonymousreply 65June 16, 2024 11:40 PM

Was Leslie not standing for Billy Porter?

by Anonymousreply 66June 16, 2024 11:44 PM

Billy Porter looks like he is auditioning for a revival of "Dracula".

by Anonymousreply 67June 16, 2024 11:44 PM

Ms. Porter does not audition!

by Anonymousreply 68June 16, 2024 11:45 PM

I didn't know Ben Platt partnered with a hobbit.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 69June 16, 2024 11:46 PM

Porter bringing the house down!

by Anonymousreply 70June 16, 2024 11:47 PM

There is little to be excited about this season.

by Anonymousreply 71June 16, 2024 11:51 PM

R71 Are you referencing Ben Platt's husband ?

by Anonymousreply 72June 16, 2024 11:54 PM

Wonder if Mia Farrow and Patti Lupone will present to promote their new play ?

by Anonymousreply 73June 16, 2024 11:55 PM

I wonder if Ben wrecks Noah’s hole…

by Anonymousreply 74June 16, 2024 11:56 PM

r74

with the double ended dildo

by Anonymousreply 75June 17, 2024 12:00 AM

They make such an odd pair, those two (Ben and Noah). I guess love is blind.

by Anonymousreply 76June 17, 2024 12:02 AM

Ariana pre-recorded her vocals this year

by Anonymousreply 77June 17, 2024 12:02 AM

So no chance Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey will co-present an award? Fellow Travelers was Paramount + so at least there’s corporate synergy.

by Anonymousreply 78June 17, 2024 12:02 AM

Opening number is awful!

by Anonymousreply 79June 17, 2024 12:02 AM

DL party game-do a shot anytime a poster shits all over Ariana tonight.

by Anonymousreply 80June 17, 2024 12:02 AM

What an awful opening number... WTF?

by Anonymousreply 81June 17, 2024 12:03 AM

Ugh the sound already sucks!

by Anonymousreply 82June 17, 2024 12:03 AM

This is embarrassing.

Remember this? Not a fan of NPH, but this was great…

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 83June 17, 2024 12:03 AM

This is an atrocious opening number. "If you acted in your high school play". Sweet Jesus.

by Anonymousreply 84June 17, 2024 12:03 AM

Was that a performance by North West?

by Anonymousreply 85June 17, 2024 12:04 AM

Is it possible that Ben Platt can get uglier every time I see him.

by Anonymousreply 86June 17, 2024 12:04 AM

She is so charmless.

by Anonymousreply 87June 17, 2024 12:06 AM

That opening number tracks for Tom Kitt and Amanda Greene.

by Anonymousreply 88June 17, 2024 12:06 AM

Neil Patrick Harris knew how to open a show.

by Anonymousreply 89June 17, 2024 12:07 AM

Can someone turn the lights on?

by Anonymousreply 90June 17, 2024 12:08 AM

Lead Actor first? Was not expecting that.

by Anonymousreply 91June 17, 2024 12:09 AM

Can he MOVE his ASS!?!

by Anonymousreply 92June 17, 2024 12:10 AM

Koch Brother Theater ugggghhh.

by Anonymousreply 93June 17, 2024 12:10 AM

R78 that’s a TV SHOW. That isn’t THEATER

by Anonymousreply 94June 17, 2024 12:10 AM

I want seasonal dressing to come back.

Brown velvet or velour in Summer?

NO!

by Anonymousreply 95June 17, 2024 12:12 AM

This is a boring speech.

by Anonymousreply 96June 17, 2024 12:12 AM

unbridled ego

by Anonymousreply 97June 17, 2024 12:12 AM

Ow. Someone in gold’s diction is shouting at me.

by Anonymousreply 98June 17, 2024 12:13 AM

Horrible start to the Tonys.

by Anonymousreply 99June 17, 2024 12:14 AM

Hell's Kitchen...indeed.

by Anonymousreply 100June 17, 2024 12:15 AM

Hells Kitchen is a phenomenal musical

by Anonymousreply 101June 17, 2024 12:16 AM

Buckets and drumsticks. Revolutionary. Thanks for the Hell's Kitchen preview! That's all I'll ever need to see.

by Anonymousreply 102June 17, 2024 12:17 AM

Alicia Keys created Hells Kitchen. It’s a lot about her growing up in NYC. She grew up in Hells Kitchen. A native NYer

by Anonymousreply 103June 17, 2024 12:17 AM

Hell's Bells. Dreadful.

by Anonymousreply 104June 17, 2024 12:17 AM

Hell's Kitchen is awful!

by Anonymousreply 105June 17, 2024 12:18 AM

Remember when award shows... you know... handed out awards?

by Anonymousreply 106June 17, 2024 12:18 AM

Jesus just show the whole show.

by Anonymousreply 107June 17, 2024 12:19 AM

I can’t wait to see what Isabelle Stevenson is wearing.

by Anonymousreply 108June 17, 2024 12:20 AM

Once you go black you don’t go back.

by Anonymousreply 109June 17, 2024 12:20 AM

Are the Clintons there?

by Anonymousreply 110June 17, 2024 12:20 AM

We didn’t get to see Justin Peck win choreography televised so I can watch Jay Z?

Great.

by Anonymousreply 111June 17, 2024 12:20 AM

How many tourists are now gonna be disappointed that Keys and Jay-Z ain't in HK?

by Anonymousreply 112June 17, 2024 12:21 AM

Is Jay Z on Ozempic?

by Anonymousreply 113June 17, 2024 12:21 AM

Are the Tony awards the Grammys now?

by Anonymousreply 114June 17, 2024 12:21 AM

Ewwwww. Jay Z.

by Anonymousreply 115June 17, 2024 12:21 AM

What's the next category?

by Anonymousreply 116June 17, 2024 12:22 AM

Who is Angelina’s date?

by Anonymousreply 117June 17, 2024 12:22 AM

That must’ve gotten Ms. Porter worked up, she just did an armpit sniff check

by Anonymousreply 118June 17, 2024 12:23 AM

Angelina is there with her daughter

by Anonymousreply 119June 17, 2024 12:24 AM

I couldn't care less. I was at an Industry pre Tony party Friday night and all the Industry gays were saying Charlotte St Martin would open the show by running on stage and tearing off her wig and butterflies would fly out. lol

by Anonymousreply 120June 17, 2024 12:24 AM

I’ve had enough of Alicia Keyes

by Anonymousreply 121June 17, 2024 12:25 AM

R106 you must be new to the Tony’s. They’ve always had performances from the nominated musicals.

by Anonymousreply 122June 17, 2024 12:25 AM
Alicia Keys created Hells Kitchen. It’s a lot about her growing up in NYC. She grew up in Hells Kitchen. A native NYer

This only proves not all life stories belong on the Broadway stage. This looked awful.

by Anonymousreply 123June 17, 2024 12:25 AM

R117 Pax - just so he can carry her swag bags.

by Anonymousreply 124June 17, 2024 12:25 AM

Ariana DeBose is so disingenuous.

by Anonymousreply 125June 17, 2024 12:26 AM

Outsiders. Best musical.

by Anonymousreply 126June 17, 2024 12:26 AM

R118, Hilarious.

by Anonymousreply 127June 17, 2024 12:26 AM
That must’ve gotten Ms. Porter worked up, she just did an armpit sniff check

I told y'all, you can't take that pathetic creature anywhere.

by Anonymousreply 128June 17, 2024 12:27 AM

This guys so annoying in Stereophonic

by Anonymousreply 129June 17, 2024 12:28 AM

I think Will Brill is gay

by Anonymousreply 130June 17, 2024 12:29 AM

I'm so glad the Tonys haven't caved to gender-neutral categories.

by Anonymousreply 131June 17, 2024 12:29 AM

It's going to be Stereophonic night

by Anonymousreply 132June 17, 2024 12:30 AM

Note to Billy Porter . . .

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 133June 17, 2024 12:30 AM

They need to cut off this old fart

by Anonymousreply 134June 17, 2024 12:31 AM

I stopped watching The Spirit Awards for the gender neutral acting categories.

by Anonymousreply 135June 17, 2024 12:31 AM

Girls committing suicide?

by Anonymousreply 136June 17, 2024 12:31 AM

We HAVE devolved to gender-neutral vests...

by Anonymousreply 137June 17, 2024 12:31 AM

Wow. Pete blew it.

by Anonymousreply 138June 17, 2024 12:32 AM

R136 I know! WTF was he on about?

by Anonymousreply 139June 17, 2024 12:33 AM

This seeme very messy

by Anonymousreply 140June 17, 2024 12:33 AM

I remember reading this revival lacked a concept - -

by Anonymousreply 141June 17, 2024 12:34 AM

Another lousy performance

by Anonymousreply 142June 17, 2024 12:34 AM

Who committed suicide?

Who's Pete?

I'm not able to watch and am just following along on this thread.

by Anonymousreply 143June 17, 2024 12:36 AM

This Tony award ceremony is not Merrily Rolling Along.

by Anonymousreply 144June 17, 2024 12:36 AM

I saw the 1993 TOMMY when it went on tour - one of the best shows I ever saw in the 90s.

by Anonymousreply 145June 17, 2024 12:36 AM

Do “the kids” today even know what a pinball machine is? I wonder.

by Anonymousreply 146June 17, 2024 12:37 AM

Weirdly, that made me miss Wayne Cilento

by Anonymousreply 147June 17, 2024 12:37 AM

R10- the first 90 minutes were on PlutoTV and they gave out most of the awards.

by Anonymousreply 148June 17, 2024 12:37 AM

This year's show has much to be desired - it's just dragging.

by Anonymousreply 149June 17, 2024 12:37 AM
Who's Pete?

Yes.

by Anonymousreply 150June 17, 2024 12:38 AM

R131 if they ever do I will stop watching.

by Anonymousreply 151June 17, 2024 12:38 AM

The guy playing Tommy is gorgeous. Any dish on him?

by Anonymousreply 152June 17, 2024 12:38 AM

When does Lindsay Mendez win her award?

by Anonymousreply 153June 17, 2024 12:38 AM

R132 I only have heard amazing things about it.

by Anonymousreply 154June 17, 2024 12:38 AM

I'm kind of enjoying it, but don't know if I could sit through the whole play. And yes Tommy is very hot!

by Anonymousreply 155June 17, 2024 12:39 AM

R14- the Pluto broadcast was live too. You’ve already missed most of the awards.

by Anonymousreply 156June 17, 2024 12:39 AM

More old lady movies?

by Anonymousreply 157June 17, 2024 12:39 AM

What's up with the sound issues?

by Anonymousreply 158June 17, 2024 12:40 AM

Last years broadcast during the writers strike moved so smoothly compared to all the other years with writers

by Anonymousreply 159June 17, 2024 12:40 AM

They just insist on filling all these award shows with so much crap

by Anonymousreply 160June 17, 2024 12:41 AM

Sunset Blvd. officially happening on Broadway.

by Anonymousreply 161June 17, 2024 12:41 AM

Well, they certainly won't with that cheap ass excuse for a pinball machine, r146.

by Anonymousreply 162June 17, 2024 12:41 AM

R26- the Broadway League doesn’t decide who wins the awards.

by Anonymousreply 163June 17, 2024 12:42 AM

And the winner is... Betty White. And Bea is not happy.

by Anonymousreply 164June 17, 2024 12:42 AM

The stage lighting is dark.

by Anonymousreply 165June 17, 2024 12:42 AM

She seems exhausting.

by Anonymousreply 166June 17, 2024 12:45 AM

Cut her off.

by Anonymousreply 167June 17, 2024 12:45 AM

Holy crap she is still talking.

by Anonymousreply 168June 17, 2024 12:46 AM

Uppity Lezzby in Green Dress is a lot.

by Anonymousreply 169June 17, 2024 12:46 AM

Her grandmother transitioned???

by Anonymousreply 170June 17, 2024 12:46 AM

Well, at least the Stereophonic actresses didn't win.

by Anonymousreply 171June 17, 2024 12:46 AM

This is awful beyond anything I have ever seen.

by Anonymousreply 172June 17, 2024 12:47 AM

Damn, she loves the sound of her own voice.

by Anonymousreply 173June 17, 2024 12:47 AM

Is she a gay?

by Anonymousreply 174June 17, 2024 12:47 AM

Boo. I think one of the Stereophonic women should have gotten it.

by Anonymousreply 175June 17, 2024 12:47 AM

Sarah Pidgeon was robbed.

by Anonymousreply 176June 17, 2024 12:47 AM

Not playing her off because...well, you know why...

by Anonymousreply 177June 17, 2024 12:47 AM

Well at least she's giving everyone a chance to hit the shitter.

by Anonymousreply 178June 17, 2024 12:47 AM

Granny became Grampy!!

by Anonymousreply 179June 17, 2024 12:47 AM

She's beautiful if not long-winded.

by Anonymousreply 180June 17, 2024 12:48 AM

The speeches are quite long this year (?)

Did they vote to give them more time?

by Anonymousreply 181June 17, 2024 12:48 AM

This is a horrible speech. Worthy of taking away the award tonight. But there was no stopping the box office behemoth that is Purlie Victorious. 🙄

by Anonymousreply 182June 17, 2024 12:48 AM

Jonathan Groff believes his own publicity.

by Anonymousreply 183June 17, 2024 12:48 AM

Yes... Merrily We Roll Along!

by Anonymousreply 184June 17, 2024 12:48 AM

Oh! It’s the little Turncoat Absentee!

by Anonymousreply 185June 17, 2024 12:49 AM

Ugh I can't stand this tiny dicked queen.

by Anonymousreply 186June 17, 2024 12:49 AM

Jonathan Groff is HOT!

by Anonymousreply 187June 17, 2024 12:49 AM

Groff has definitely sucked off Harry P.

by Anonymousreply 188June 17, 2024 12:49 AM

His voice is small.

by Anonymousreply 189June 17, 2024 12:49 AM

What's this play called? Fat Chick and two mediocre gays?

by Anonymousreply 190June 17, 2024 12:50 AM

Jonathon Groff is one Ruffles chip away from obesity.

by Anonymousreply 191June 17, 2024 12:50 AM

You guys are making me laugh so hard tonight - please, keep it up !

by Anonymousreply 192June 17, 2024 12:51 AM

Kara Young is exquisite in her chartreuse gown. Sheer perfection!

Congratulations!

by Anonymousreply 193June 17, 2024 12:51 AM

THIS is the revelatory production of Merrily We Roll Along?

by Anonymousreply 194June 17, 2024 12:51 AM

Best performance by far!

by Anonymousreply 195June 17, 2024 12:52 AM

Ben and Beanie and Paul M. will need to top this performance in the Merrily We Roll Along film to be released-- in 17 years.

by Anonymousreply 196June 17, 2024 12:52 AM

He is as gay as his dick is small.

by Anonymousreply 197June 17, 2024 12:52 AM

I’m taking notes

by Anonymousreply 198June 17, 2024 12:53 AM

Groff definitely thinks a lot of himself.

by Anonymousreply 199June 17, 2024 12:53 AM

Groff's pants keep heading North like my Grandpa's do.

by Anonymousreply 200June 17, 2024 12:53 AM

Give Merrily all the Tonys now and let's forget the pretense of a contest.

by Anonymousreply 201June 17, 2024 12:53 AM

R195 nope. Hells Kitchen was amazing.

by Anonymousreply 202June 17, 2024 12:53 AM

Groff is a treasure - you nasty bitches! 😂

Kara Young seems insufferable.

by Anonymousreply 203June 17, 2024 12:54 AM

Merrily deserves no Tony’s. So far the winners have been great.

by Anonymousreply 204June 17, 2024 12:54 AM

The performances are shorter than the speeches.

by Anonymousreply 205June 17, 2024 12:54 AM

^ I hope R202 is being sarcastic.

by Anonymousreply 206June 17, 2024 12:55 AM

R204 I think it's time for your medication, hun.

by Anonymousreply 207June 17, 2024 12:55 AM
Groff is a treasure

In his own helium-inflated egocentric mind R203. The rest of us live in the real world.

by Anonymousreply 208June 17, 2024 12:55 AM

Merrily was…a revelation

by Anonymousreply 209June 17, 2024 12:56 AM

Sometime ago Groff decided he's Raoul Espadrille 2.0.

by Anonymousreply 210June 17, 2024 12:56 AM

I cannot stand her as a host.

by Anonymousreply 211June 17, 2024 12:56 AM

What this show needs is a surprise appearance by Princess Kate, wearing her flying saucer hat so she won't be lost on stage.

by Anonymousreply 212June 17, 2024 12:57 AM

Is Ariana auditioning for Gussie Carnegie?

by Anonymousreply 213June 17, 2024 12:57 AM

Groff believes his own hype. He’s been besties with Lea Michel for many years. That says a lot.

by Anonymousreply 214June 17, 2024 12:57 AM

Why are the Play awards so early?

by Anonymousreply 215June 17, 2024 12:57 AM

He is a fraud. The fact that he can maintain a friendship with that horrid girl Glee is all you need to know about him.

by Anonymousreply 216June 17, 2024 12:57 AM

Something feels "off" about the show.

by Anonymousreply 217June 17, 2024 12:57 AM

Lindsay has missed 25% of the run. 72 performances. That’s nine weeks.

by Anonymousreply 218June 17, 2024 12:57 AM

R215 they do Play awards first and then the musical awards

by Anonymousreply 219June 17, 2024 12:58 AM

I keep reading it as Puerile Victorius.

by Anonymousreply 220June 17, 2024 12:58 AM

And the phallus wielding oppressor is rewarded. Once again.

by Anonymousreply 221June 17, 2024 12:59 AM

Who is this shmuch reading off a paper? Know your fucking lines!!

by Anonymousreply 222June 17, 2024 12:59 AM

Where is this groff hate coming from?

Over the years on here, I’ve only read that he’s down to earth and kind. Who gives a shit if he’s friends with Lea Michele?

by Anonymousreply 223June 17, 2024 12:59 AM
Is Ariana auditioning for Gussie Carnegie?

No R213, she's auditioning to be Phylicia Rashad.

by Anonymousreply 224June 17, 2024 12:59 AM

The speeches tonight SUCK.

by Anonymousreply 225June 17, 2024 1:00 AM

I’m kind of surprised the Best Director of a Play award is presented on the main broadcast. You’d think CBS would deem it “not glamorous enough.”

by Anonymousreply 226June 17, 2024 1:00 AM

Maria Friedman upset

by Anonymousreply 227June 17, 2024 1:00 AM

Maria Friedman LOST??????? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

by Anonymousreply 228June 17, 2024 1:01 AM
R222 Who is this shmuck reading off a paper? Know your fucking lines!!

I think it’s a free association poem?

by Anonymousreply 229June 17, 2024 1:01 AM
Over the years on here, I’ve only read that he’s down to earth and kind.

And Groff posted every single one of them, R223.

by Anonymousreply 230June 17, 2024 1:01 AM

Wow this is a shock

by Anonymousreply 231June 17, 2024 1:01 AM

MAria not winning... that's a shock

by Anonymousreply 232June 17, 2024 1:01 AM

Outsiders? More like the UNfuckables...They couldn't find any HOT guys?...Cast by Lezzby. Always keeping the hot guys down.

by Anonymousreply 233June 17, 2024 1:01 AM

“I can’t walk in heels”

So wear flats, you slob.

by Anonymousreply 234June 17, 2024 1:01 AM

NEPO BABY ALERT!

by Anonymousreply 235June 17, 2024 1:01 AM

Holy shitski

by Anonymousreply 236June 17, 2024 1:01 AM

Green Dress has sagging boobs. And I'm betting armpit hair.

by Anonymousreply 237June 17, 2024 1:02 AM

Nepo win

by Anonymousreply 238June 17, 2024 1:02 AM

They made The Outsiders into a musical? It sucked donkey dick both as a book and that movie.

by Anonymousreply 239June 17, 2024 1:02 AM

I bet a LOT of women have lifted her up.

by Anonymousreply 240June 17, 2024 1:02 AM

Those titties are crying for a bra.

by Anonymousreply 241June 17, 2024 1:02 AM

Gee, I can’t tell if she planned the whole “hoisting up her high heels” moment? Doesn’t seem contrived AT ALL.

by Anonymousreply 242June 17, 2024 1:03 AM

Miss Patrick Wilson!!

by Anonymousreply 243June 17, 2024 1:04 AM

Patrick Wilson and his big dick.

by Anonymousreply 244June 17, 2024 1:04 AM

So does this mean "The Outsiders" has Best Musical in the bag...?

by Anonymousreply 245June 17, 2024 1:04 AM

Oh shit... another lousy performance

by Anonymousreply 246June 17, 2024 1:04 AM

Outsiders has 1 good song and a bunch of filler

by Anonymousreply 247June 17, 2024 1:05 AM

Back in the day, we regulars would dress up to attend the annual Tony watch party at The Film Center Cafe on Ninth Avenue in Hell's Kitchen. TFCC is long gone, along with a share of us, but the energy hovering over the neighborhood tonight is incredible!

We are so proud of you, Alicia, and thank you for putting us HK imps-- young, old and departed -- on Cloud Nine tonight and always. So proud!

by Anonymousreply 248June 17, 2024 1:05 AM

I found a woman to knock up so I'm "straight"...........Signed, Grant and Daniel.

by Anonymousreply 249June 17, 2024 1:05 AM

I’d like to pretend that Patrick Wilson will take home Jonathon Groff tonight and rail him senseless.

by Anonymousreply 250June 17, 2024 1:05 AM

Paul Castree!

by Anonymousreply 251June 17, 2024 1:05 AM

Poor Maria Friedman.

I blame Patti LuPone. She’s a Tony voter and seems the type to vote against Maria.

She probably lost a role to her at some point

by Anonymousreply 252June 17, 2024 1:06 AM

Ah, next up, the very straight Grant Gustin.

by Anonymousreply 253June 17, 2024 1:06 AM

Miss Taymor has spoken her truth and no one - and I mean no one - will oppress her power.

by Anonymousreply 254June 17, 2024 1:06 AM

At least this number has a hot daddy.

by Anonymousreply 255June 17, 2024 1:06 AM

Even the CW didn't want Grant Gustin anymore.

by Anonymousreply 256June 17, 2024 1:07 AM

This Water for Elephants number seems like the type to inexplicably make its way to into the Sunday Showtunes rotation at Sidetrack in Chicago to the consternation of all.

by Anonymousreply 257June 17, 2024 1:07 AM

Surprised we haven’t been lectured about Gaza yet.

Kara Young was on the verge but no direct mention so far.

by Anonymousreply 258June 17, 2024 1:08 AM

Group songs NEVER work on TV broadcasts. They need to mike everyone.

by Anonymousreply 259June 17, 2024 1:08 AM

That hammer is the closest Grant Gustin will get to Thor.

by Anonymousreply 260June 17, 2024 1:08 AM

Who's that hot daddy R255?

by Anonymousreply 261June 17, 2024 1:09 AM

I'm performing at the Tony Awards tonight. What are you guys doing?

Oh.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 262June 17, 2024 1:09 AM

When does Lindsay Mendez get her Tony?

by Anonymousreply 263June 17, 2024 1:09 AM

Kudos to the wardrobe department who put overweight Grant in a baggy suit.

by Anonymousreply 264June 17, 2024 1:09 AM

I am so getting replaced by Microsoft Copilot.

by Anonymousreply 265June 17, 2024 1:10 AM

Ariana should have used Copilot for that opening

by Anonymousreply 266June 17, 2024 1:10 AM

Jonathan Groff has BDF

by Anonymousreply 267June 17, 2024 1:10 AM

Grant isn't fat.

by Anonymousreply 268June 17, 2024 1:11 AM

You cunts who call Groff and Gustin fat are the problem. Love them or hate them, that's just dumb.

by Anonymousreply 269June 17, 2024 1:11 AM

But they ARE fat, Blanche/R269!

by Anonymousreply 270June 17, 2024 1:12 AM

Does Sonia Friedman have many enemies in the pool of Tony voters? Maybe they all refused to vote for her sister.

by Anonymousreply 271June 17, 2024 1:13 AM

I think it's cute how all the casts run off stage as they blow kisses at the camera with this "Hey, look, Ma, I'm on TV!" kind of enthusiasm (because for most of them, I'm sure that's exactly how they're feeling).

by Anonymousreply 272June 17, 2024 1:13 AM

Christ on a fucking crutch Platt's disco heels.

by Anonymousreply 273June 17, 2024 1:14 AM

Groff has PAF. Pass Around Face.

by Anonymousreply 274June 17, 2024 1:14 AM

Jim Parsons seemed a little zoftig tonight.

by Anonymousreply 275June 17, 2024 1:14 AM

$10.00 for a thrill they’ll never forget?

by Anonymousreply 276June 17, 2024 1:15 AM

Are they still talking about high school students? Maybe that's why Broadway today feels amateurish.

by Anonymousreply 277June 17, 2024 1:15 AM

Will Harry Potter throw Rowling under the table?

by Anonymousreply 278June 17, 2024 1:15 AM

Daniel Radcliffe!

by Anonymousreply 279June 17, 2024 1:15 AM

Anthony. Please give ME a thrill I’ll never forget!

by Anonymousreply 280June 17, 2024 1:15 AM

"Yasss" God, shut up bitch. I know its not right but I can't stand that man. Oh yay Daniel won.

by Anonymousreply 281June 17, 2024 1:15 AM

When Ben called him CHarlie, Daniel looked heartbroken!

by Anonymousreply 282June 17, 2024 1:15 AM

YES!!! Go, Daniel!!!

by Anonymousreply 283June 17, 2024 1:15 AM

Harry Potter needs to thank JK Rowling for standing up to the THEMz.

by Anonymousreply 284June 17, 2024 1:16 AM

Sissy Potter looks like he is wearing a grown up tie.

by Anonymousreply 285June 17, 2024 1:16 AM

Speaking of Roger Bart…

by Anonymousreply 286June 17, 2024 1:16 AM

Daniel Radcliffe is adorable.

by Anonymousreply 287June 17, 2024 1:16 AM

Lmaoooo Groff trying to force tears out

by Anonymousreply 288June 17, 2024 1:17 AM

Oh God, he's announcing another category.

by Anonymousreply 289June 17, 2024 1:17 AM

I think thanking one’s dresser is new (?)

by Anonymousreply 290June 17, 2024 1:17 AM

No MENDEZ YAY

by Anonymousreply 291June 17, 2024 1:18 AM

Lindsay was ROBBED

by Anonymousreply 292June 17, 2024 1:18 AM

No LM

by Anonymousreply 293June 17, 2024 1:18 AM

Lindsay and Bebe are pissed

by Anonymousreply 294June 17, 2024 1:18 AM

The Mendez haters with all their statistics must be furiously jacking off at the television right now.

by Anonymousreply 295June 17, 2024 1:18 AM

Does Groff know they already voted. His crocodile tears are pathetic. One would think he was the proud wife.

by Anonymousreply 296June 17, 2024 1:19 AM

Shosh seems thrilled for her

by Anonymousreply 297June 17, 2024 1:19 AM

[italic]Tough luck, cunt![/italic]

Take another night off to get over it!

by Anonymousreply 298June 17, 2024 1:19 AM

What a terrible acceptance speech

by Anonymousreply 299June 17, 2024 1:19 AM

Time to hit the shitter.

by Anonymousreply 300June 17, 2024 1:19 AM

This will be only Tony for Hell's Kitchen.

by Anonymousreply 301June 17, 2024 1:19 AM

R290 not if he’s fucking him.

by Anonymousreply 302June 17, 2024 1:20 AM

That red dress is homophobic

by Anonymousreply 303June 17, 2024 1:20 AM

Anthony Ramos and Ben Platt didn't even look at or acknowledge each other. Shady.

by Anonymousreply 304June 17, 2024 1:20 AM

Ben Platt calling out Charlie Kringas first was shitty. Way to make someone else’s success about you.

by Anonymousreply 305June 17, 2024 1:20 AM

Shut up and get off the stage

by Anonymousreply 306June 17, 2024 1:20 AM

Ok, another long speech...

by Anonymousreply 307June 17, 2024 1:20 AM

Shes absolutely amazing in Hells Kitchen. Kudos to her.

by Anonymousreply 308June 17, 2024 1:21 AM
Does Groff know they already voted. His crocodile tears are pathetic.

He pulled a nose hair R296.

by Anonymousreply 309June 17, 2024 1:21 AM

Anthony Ramos makes my skin crawl.

by Anonymousreply 310June 17, 2024 1:21 AM

Radcliffe won.

This is Groff's third nomination. I wonder if he'll be bitter if he doesn't win.

by Anonymousreply 311June 17, 2024 1:21 AM

She should have used her iPad.

by Anonymousreply 312June 17, 2024 1:22 AM

Is Jessica Lange there?

by Anonymousreply 313June 17, 2024 1:22 AM

R313 yes they showed her earlier she’s near the aisle

by Anonymousreply 314June 17, 2024 1:22 AM

Another lousy performance

by Anonymousreply 315June 17, 2024 1:23 AM

Long winded. Jeez.

by Anonymousreply 316June 17, 2024 1:23 AM

312, she should have used a maxi-pad. Her dress was originally green.

by Anonymousreply 317June 17, 2024 1:23 AM

Wow..Anthony SURE didn’t give Ben the time of day

by Anonymousreply 318June 17, 2024 1:23 AM

This is horrible

by Anonymousreply 319June 17, 2024 1:25 AM

Illinoise lost me at the insect wings.

by Anonymousreply 320June 17, 2024 1:25 AM

Amazing to see Ricky Ubeda all grown up. Loved him on So You Think You Can Dance years ago.

by Anonymousreply 321June 17, 2024 1:25 AM

Oh God - THIS is Illinoise? They're just winging the "choreography" tonight, aren't they?

by Anonymousreply 322June 17, 2024 1:26 AM

This is beautiful. The person bitching all night is clearly not a fan of theater. Stay in your lane. Go turn on Avengers.

by Anonymousreply 323June 17, 2024 1:26 AM

Ilinoise looks like a cow-town jr. college production.

by Anonymousreply 324June 17, 2024 1:27 AM

Time to change your tampon, R323

by Anonymousreply 325June 17, 2024 1:27 AM

LOVE Ricky Ubeda. What a talent.

by Anonymousreply 326June 17, 2024 1:28 AM
Is Jessica Lange there?
yes they showed her earlier she’s near the aisle

For the first time it’s occurring to me this must all be a really long evening for the elderly. Even if they’re just sitting there.

I think I’d go hang out in the lobby.

by Anonymousreply 327June 17, 2024 1:28 AM

God awful.

by Anonymousreply 328June 17, 2024 1:28 AM

R323, people have different opinions. And there are multiple dudes on here bitching cause this has been very mid so far. I liked this number tho.

by Anonymousreply 329June 17, 2024 1:28 AM
Wow..Anthony SURE didn’t give Ben the time of day

You need a chest to do the shirtless thing. He looked ridiculous.

by Anonymousreply 330June 17, 2024 1:28 AM

Can we have best actress in a play now?

by Anonymousreply 331June 17, 2024 1:29 AM

And coming up, yet another "edgy" Cabaret revival with even more cross-dressing, vintage clothes, bad makeup, rouged tits and bad choreography and questionable acting.

by Anonymousreply 332June 17, 2024 1:29 AM
You need a chest to do the shirtless thing.

I'm not defending his look, but he was wearing a shirt. It was skin-tone.

by Anonymousreply 333June 17, 2024 1:30 AM

I loved the Illinoise number. Very nice.

by Anonymousreply 334June 17, 2024 1:30 AM

Another lousy performance

by Anonymousreply 335June 17, 2024 1:31 AM

The sound is terrible!

by Anonymousreply 336June 17, 2024 1:32 AM

Nicole Scherzinger is doing the In Memoriam.

by Anonymousreply 337June 17, 2024 1:32 AM

The lady just lost control of her bosom

by Anonymousreply 338June 17, 2024 1:33 AM

The Great Gatsby didn’t win Best Set Design?

by Anonymousreply 339June 17, 2024 1:33 AM

Ricky Ubeda is truly gifted - the way he moves is stunning. I hope he gets more meaningful work after this. It’s so hard for dancers.

by Anonymousreply 340June 17, 2024 1:34 AM

MUFFS ? ? ?

by Anonymousreply 341June 17, 2024 1:35 AM

Suffs is winning best musical.

by Anonymousreply 342June 17, 2024 1:35 AM

Who won best Trans Actor?

by Anonymousreply 343June 17, 2024 1:35 AM

I’ve only heard good things about Illinois

by Anonymousreply 344June 17, 2024 1:35 AM

A horrendous performance

by Anonymousreply 345June 17, 2024 1:37 AM

Yes, especially Chicago.

by Anonymousreply 346June 17, 2024 1:37 AM

It still amazes me that the tony for best choreography is not on the main broadcast.

by Anonymousreply 347June 17, 2024 1:38 AM

The closeup is not Eddie Redmayne's friend.

by Anonymousreply 348June 17, 2024 1:38 AM

How many revivals of Caberet do we need?

by Anonymousreply 349June 17, 2024 1:38 AM

This is reminding me just how awful Redmayne was in the show. Mannered, disconnected from any actual human impulse, and just yucky.

by Anonymousreply 350June 17, 2024 1:39 AM

R339, Gatsby was only nominated for Best Costume Design, which it won.

by Anonymousreply 351June 17, 2024 1:39 AM

Did Eddie Redmayne take the brown acid?

by Anonymousreply 352June 17, 2024 1:39 AM

I don't think I've ever seen Bebe Neuwirth ever wear her hair other than the way she's wearing it tonight.

by Anonymousreply 353June 17, 2024 1:40 AM

Anyone who's seen this Cabaret: Is Eddie Redmayne as charmless as he seems in this number?

He's laboring and laboring up there, but I don't see a character.

by Anonymousreply 354June 17, 2024 1:41 AM

I didn’t like Redmayne in this revival either. I actually find it weird all the praise he gets.

by Anonymousreply 355June 17, 2024 1:41 AM

R350: Basically what he’s like in every role.

by Anonymousreply 356June 17, 2024 1:41 AM

His Oscar win is one of my least favorite in the last decade.

by Anonymousreply 357June 17, 2024 1:41 AM

I remember that story years ago about Eddie hitting on an actor right in front of his wife.

by Anonymousreply 358June 17, 2024 1:41 AM

It was a knock off network TV version of DDL's My Left Foot performance.

by Anonymousreply 359June 17, 2024 1:43 AM

R357: He sat in a chair and the computer did all the rest.

by Anonymousreply 360June 17, 2024 1:43 AM

His wife is very homely and probably lavender.

by Anonymousreply 361June 17, 2024 1:44 AM

They’re advertising PREP on the Tony’s, as if seeing Ben Platt isn’t enough and that elf he’s marrying aren’t enough to prevent STDs.

by Anonymousreply 362June 17, 2024 1:44 AM

The advertisers know the Tony demographic; the commercials are geared to gays.

by Anonymousreply 363June 17, 2024 1:46 AM

I get the hate for the hostess but I thought she was actually good last year. I don’t know what happened. She’s so fucking lame, charmless, and phony.

by Anonymousreply 364June 17, 2024 1:47 AM

God. Rannells. Somebody break out the wide angle lens for his closeups.

by Anonymousreply 365June 17, 2024 1:47 AM

R354, in this production, the idea is that the cabaret and most especially the Emcee, blend into support for the Nazis. The Emcee is explicitly the villain of the piece. It’s a stupid take, but if that’s what you’re doing, he should draw the audience in before he reveals his true colors. Redmayne gets really into the physicality and the weirdness and it’s really not good.

Rankin could be good in a decent production. Neuhirth is great despite heavyhanded direction that sends her up up up past the Russell Hotel in her big number.

by Anonymousreply 366June 17, 2024 1:48 AM

Christ drop the trapdoor already on these two hammy fucks.

by Anonymousreply 367June 17, 2024 1:49 AM

Where is Nathan Lane????

by Anonymousreply 368June 17, 2024 1:50 AM

Corey Stoll is sex on a fucking stick.

by Anonymousreply 369June 17, 2024 1:51 AM

Christ, 87 producers.

by Anonymousreply 370June 17, 2024 1:52 AM

I was going to say the same, R369.

by Anonymousreply 371June 17, 2024 1:52 AM

I just saw Jess Lange looking as loopy and drunk and as ever at an aisle seat. Does she play a drunk still sexually alive woman of a certain age in this play too?

by Anonymousreply 372June 17, 2024 1:53 AM

R371: Unfortunately he’s only gotten his ass out once on House of Cards.

by Anonymousreply 373June 17, 2024 1:54 AM

Who is this queen?

by Anonymousreply 374June 17, 2024 1:54 AM

Tonys SO dreadful this year. One of the worst.

by Anonymousreply 375June 17, 2024 1:55 AM

Elle Fanning came back. I don’t know why she is cast in so many productions. She and her sister are below average in looks and talent.

by Anonymousreply 376June 17, 2024 1:56 AM

Awful!

by Anonymousreply 377June 17, 2024 1:56 AM

No Latin honoring Chita?

by Anonymousreply 378June 17, 2024 1:56 AM

Ah yes, had to be an ass at the end of that speech.

by Anonymousreply 379June 17, 2024 1:56 AM

This whole show seems under rehearsed

by Anonymousreply 380June 17, 2024 1:57 AM

I have to believe Kevin Spacey tried to have his way with Corey during his one memorable season on House of Cards. I’m guessing it wasn’t rape rape but he likely tried to cop a feel.

by Anonymousreply 381June 17, 2024 1:57 AM

Neuwirth stole Ben Platt's disco heels.

by Anonymousreply 382June 17, 2024 1:57 AM

Chita Rivera was a talent but she played the same character in every performance.

by Anonymousreply 383June 17, 2024 1:58 AM

Who is this Chikka Riviera they keep rambling about? Wasn't she the winner of Season 4 of RuPauls Drag Race? I really don't think now is the time...

by Anonymousreply 384June 17, 2024 1:58 AM

Not appropriate.

by Anonymousreply 385June 17, 2024 1:58 AM

How do we have another hour of this?

by Anonymousreply 386June 17, 2024 1:58 AM

This would have been much better as a traditional medley and not broken up by words.

by Anonymousreply 387June 17, 2024 1:59 AM
r353 I don't think I've ever seen Bebe Neuwirth ever wear her hair other than the way she's wearing it tonight.

She’s never worn those bedroom slippers before, though.

by Anonymousreply 388June 17, 2024 1:59 AM

WE GO VY

by Anonymousreply 389June 17, 2024 2:00 AM

I've seen better acting in Prep Commericals than some of these performances.

by Anonymousreply 390June 17, 2024 2:01 AM

One more injection and Ariana will disappear.

by Anonymousreply 391June 17, 2024 2:02 AM

Umm - that tribute to Chita was clunky.

by Anonymousreply 392June 17, 2024 2:03 AM

RIP Chita Rivera and good on Bebe Neuwrith for aging naturally. 👍👍

by Anonymousreply 393June 17, 2024 2:03 AM

ME Warner from SVU!

by Anonymousreply 394June 17, 2024 2:04 AM

Dr. Warner's dress is just too much.

by Anonymousreply 395June 17, 2024 2:04 AM

oh my. Usually I have to go to Oakland to see-----well-----never mind...

by Anonymousreply 396June 17, 2024 2:04 AM

oh my

by Anonymousreply 397June 17, 2024 2:04 AM

Sorry, but this show is dragging.

by Anonymousreply 398June 17, 2024 2:05 AM

BET got nothing on the Tonys.

by Anonymousreply 399June 17, 2024 2:05 AM

R396 is #tonyssoghetto

by Anonymousreply 400June 17, 2024 2:06 AM

Football guy is hot

by Anonymousreply 401June 17, 2024 2:07 AM

Nate Burlington is hot. But he is acting WAY "straighter" on Broadway than he does on CBS Mornings.

by Anonymousreply 402June 17, 2024 2:08 AM

Mr. Wright!

by Anonymousreply 403June 17, 2024 2:08 AM

I'm Jeffrey Wright. Did you know I starred in Angels in America? I did!

by Anonymousreply 404June 17, 2024 2:08 AM

AIDS??.............What's that?.

by Anonymousreply 405June 17, 2024 2:09 AM

Sarah Pigeon should have won.

by Anonymousreply 406June 17, 2024 2:09 AM

He looks creepy as fuck....

by Anonymousreply 407June 17, 2024 2:10 AM

Where is the arcade fire guy?

by Anonymousreply 408June 17, 2024 2:11 AM

I hate when acceptance speeches turn into therapy sessions. Cry on your own time, pal.

by Anonymousreply 409June 17, 2024 2:11 AM

Irony....When the fancy white people thank the academy for their awards and their cast is mostly black.

by Anonymousreply 410June 17, 2024 2:11 AM

All the co producers had to go to a second stage cause the theater is too small

by Anonymousreply 411June 17, 2024 2:12 AM

These acceptance speeches really bring a halt to the proceedings. Limit them to one person.

by Anonymousreply 412June 17, 2024 2:12 AM

He looks like a low-rent actor playing a child molester on an early season of Unsolved Mysteries.

by Anonymousreply 413June 17, 2024 2:12 AM

Oh, NOW they start to get people to shut up. So obvious...

by Anonymousreply 414June 17, 2024 2:13 AM

Beta blocker? When Fosse won he said he was “full of tranquilizers”

by Anonymousreply 415June 17, 2024 2:13 AM

Just when the evening couldn't get more dire, here is Hillary in a fucking caftan

by Anonymousreply 416June 17, 2024 2:13 AM

Hillary rocking the caftan!

by Anonymousreply 417June 17, 2024 2:13 AM

Please tell me what was ghetto about anything tonight??? Seeing a black person makes it ghetto? Not a single person there is acting ghetto and are all educated and well spoken people. Yet still called “ghetto”

by Anonymousreply 418June 17, 2024 2:13 AM

Is that Carol Cook??

by Anonymousreply 419June 17, 2024 2:13 AM

Caftans!!! Hillary loves her caftans.

by Anonymousreply 420June 17, 2024 2:13 AM

I have that same caftan!! XXL!!

by Anonymousreply 421June 17, 2024 2:14 AM

HILLARY!!!

by Anonymousreply 422June 17, 2024 2:14 AM

Shut the fuck up.

by Anonymousreply 423June 17, 2024 2:14 AM

Get this fat, useless bitch off the stage.

by Anonymousreply 424June 17, 2024 2:14 AM

Hillary, bless her heart.

by Anonymousreply 425June 17, 2024 2:15 AM

Hillary would wear a white caftan!

No pant suit at the Tonys!

by Anonymousreply 426June 17, 2024 2:15 AM

Ugh this annoying woman is also IN the show??

by Anonymousreply 427June 17, 2024 2:15 AM

Hillary looks great!

by Anonymousreply 428June 17, 2024 2:15 AM

Sadly Hillary and Joe are going to have something in common in November. We are in for a very terrible 4 years.

by Anonymousreply 429June 17, 2024 2:15 AM

" Suffs" forgot to include melody.

by Anonymousreply 430June 17, 2024 2:16 AM

The DL bigots are out in force

by Anonymousreply 431June 17, 2024 2:17 AM

R429: Well at least we got a heck of a lot closer than she ever did.

by Anonymousreply 432June 17, 2024 2:18 AM

I'm sorry. I don't know anything about plays or broadway. But this wheelchair situation has got to go. I don't like it when Shriners do it and I don't like it when Broadway does it. You are in a fucking wheelchair. Stop rolling around and call it dancing!!

by Anonymousreply 433June 17, 2024 2:18 AM

SUFFS = More like fat chicks in hats.

by Anonymousreply 434June 17, 2024 2:18 AM

I dunno. These lyrics seem like they're talking to children. And I expect more fire from suffragettes. This gives Mormon tabernacle choir doing protest music vibes. But I have not seen the musical so perhaps I"m being unfair.

by Anonymousreply 435June 17, 2024 2:19 AM

Suffs looks like it sucks.

by Anonymousreply 436June 17, 2024 2:19 AM

Apparently she gets out of the wheelchair and walks in the show.

by Anonymousreply 437June 17, 2024 2:19 AM

I loved Stereophonic. Found it worthy of the hype and then some.

I've bought a ticket to see it again.

One of the women should have won featured actress. Sarah Pidgeon had the showier role as the Stevie Nicks character, but I was more affected by Juliana Canfield as the Christine McVie character, who loves people but is wounded by multiple rejections — she had several moving moments, including a nice monologue about the movie Don't Look Now and grief. (And she did a note-perfect British accent; I'm kind of an accent nerd.)

by Anonymousreply 438June 17, 2024 2:20 AM

Is it me or is this audience way rowdier than in previous years?

by Anonymousreply 439June 17, 2024 2:20 AM

I saw Suffs. It was fantastic and very funny.

by Anonymousreply 440June 17, 2024 2:21 AM

The Jardiance Theme song....Now THATs a cassette I would buy!! Learn Broadway. Learn!!

by Anonymousreply 441June 17, 2024 2:21 AM

Popular vote wins tonight. No fucking Electoral College involved.

by Anonymousreply 442June 17, 2024 2:22 AM

Arianna is a LOT....And none of it good.

by Anonymousreply 443June 17, 2024 2:23 AM
The DL bigots are out in force

Just the usual troll farm animals.

by Anonymousreply 444June 17, 2024 2:23 AM

Could someone tell the performers that "I was a theatre kid" is an exhausted trope? You peaked years ago. Get over it.

by Anonymousreply 445June 17, 2024 2:25 AM

God, this is boring. Should been given 90 minutes or put on pay-per-view.

by Anonymousreply 446June 17, 2024 2:25 AM

So if midwest tourists are watching this, and planning their summer vacation to NYC, which show do you think they're going to buy tickers for ? Most of these performances - if not all - suck big time.

So once again, they will buy tix to MJ since 'Phantom' is gone.

by Anonymousreply 447June 17, 2024 2:25 AM

Angelina, EAT A BURGER!!

by Anonymousreply 448June 17, 2024 2:25 AM

Ugh. Who is this fug? He needs tighter jeans if he wants to get my attention.

by Anonymousreply 449June 17, 2024 2:25 AM

Angelina Jolie - A rag, a bone and a hank of hair.

Ugh.

by Anonymousreply 450June 17, 2024 2:26 AM

Well these boys certainly look like outsiders… Yeesh.

by Anonymousreply 451June 17, 2024 2:26 AM

Did Angelina get her implants removed? Her chest looked weird.

by Anonymousreply 452June 17, 2024 2:26 AM

Are there any new musicals that are not social message based?

by Anonymousreply 453June 17, 2024 2:26 AM

Outsiders: 30 year old queens playing teen hoodlums. Now, that's acting!

by Anonymousreply 454June 17, 2024 2:27 AM

I've seen Outsiders movie. I don't remember any-----'urban"---performances. Clearly the producers haven't been to Tulsa.

by Anonymousreply 455June 17, 2024 2:27 AM

Nice wig, Pony Boy.

by Anonymousreply 456June 17, 2024 2:27 AM

The Outsiders won't get a standing O for this abysmal performance.

And it's coming across too When You're a Jet You're a Jet All The Way.

by Anonymousreply 457June 17, 2024 2:28 AM

OUTSIDERS = Hillbilly Ho Down!!

by Anonymousreply 458June 17, 2024 2:28 AM

Sean Cody presents The Outsiders

by Anonymousreply 459June 17, 2024 2:28 AM

Is one of the Outsider's a female?

by Anonymousreply 460June 17, 2024 2:29 AM

Who’ll Stop The Rain?

by Anonymousreply 461June 17, 2024 2:29 AM

Females fighting for voting rights vs greaser boys. Broadway votes for the women because of the more acceptable social message.

by Anonymousreply 462June 17, 2024 2:30 AM

What the fuck is this garbage? It reeks!!.......oh wait......Angelina Jolie?......Never mind...

by Anonymousreply 463June 17, 2024 2:30 AM

Oh am I watching West Side Story without the good music and choreography right now?

by Anonymousreply 464June 17, 2024 2:30 AM

I've seen better performances on Days of our Lives.

by Anonymousreply 465June 17, 2024 2:30 AM

R438 the play has nothing to do with Fleetwood Mac

And no, they shouldn’t have won. The person who should have won did.

by Anonymousreply 466June 17, 2024 2:30 AM

See? Told you.

Best,

R457

by Anonymousreply 467June 17, 2024 2:30 AM

If THE OUTSIDERS are going to stage a fight in a 'rain scene' it should be with naked men fighting in a prison shower. That'll send tickets,

by Anonymousreply 468June 17, 2024 2:31 AM

Was Ariana just wearing a potato sack encrusted with jewels?

by Anonymousreply 469June 17, 2024 2:32 AM

Jolie will win the Oscar next year for playing Maria Callas. No, it isn’t Master Class, it’s by the guy who directed the films about Jackie O and Princess Diana.

by Anonymousreply 470June 17, 2024 2:32 AM

R455 and clearly you’ve never been to a Broadway show.

by Anonymousreply 471June 17, 2024 2:32 AM
Jolie will win the Oscar next year for playing Maria Callas. No, it isn’t Master Class, it’s by the guy who directed the films about Jackie O and Princess Diana.

Dream on R470.

by Anonymousreply 472June 17, 2024 2:33 AM
And no, they shouldn’t have won. The person who should have won did.

Do shut up.

by Anonymousreply 473June 17, 2024 2:33 AM

Was Shiloh Voight Jolie at the Tonys?

by Anonymousreply 474June 17, 2024 2:33 AM

"I sold the winery"-------------Angelina Jolies next musical.

by Anonymousreply 475June 17, 2024 2:35 AM

Gee, I wonder who will win this one....

by Anonymousreply 476June 17, 2024 2:37 AM

Jennifer Hudson has morphed into Oprah.

by Anonymousreply 477June 17, 2024 2:37 AM

I hope Sonia tells everyone to go fuck themselves for wronging her sister

by Anonymousreply 478June 17, 2024 2:37 AM

GOLDIE HAWN!! She looks amazing too~!!

by Anonymousreply 479June 17, 2024 2:37 AM
the play has nothing to do with Fleetwood Mac

Um, get a clue, R466.

by Anonymousreply 480June 17, 2024 2:38 AM

Has Espadrille 2.0 lost yet? I've lost track.

by Anonymousreply 481June 17, 2024 2:38 AM

Jennifer Hudson is porking out again.

by Anonymousreply 482June 17, 2024 2:38 AM

As the limeys say Sonia Friedman looks like a right cow.

by Anonymousreply 483June 17, 2024 2:38 AM

13 years ago I said "I am going to revive this because I have NO originality!! And you suckers fell for it!!"

by Anonymousreply 484June 17, 2024 2:39 AM

Who's the cute guy on stage in the red tuxedo ? WOW !

by Anonymousreply 485June 17, 2024 2:40 AM

Just Jack! 2024.

by Anonymousreply 486June 17, 2024 2:40 AM

Sarah Paulson.

by Anonymousreply 487June 17, 2024 2:41 AM

Way to make the award all about YOU, Hayes.

by Anonymousreply 488June 17, 2024 2:41 AM

Jessica Lange was NOT happy to lose.

by Anonymousreply 489June 17, 2024 2:41 AM

Rachel McAdams was supposed to be the next big thing 12 years ago. WoW. How sad for her.

by Anonymousreply 490June 17, 2024 2:42 AM

How the fuck could you tell, R489? Her face does not move.

by Anonymousreply 491June 17, 2024 2:42 AM

R480 I saw the play. It has NOTHING to do with Fleetwood Mac

by Anonymousreply 492June 17, 2024 2:43 AM

Paulson should thank the heavens above for Tyne Daly dropping out of 'Doubt'. She wouldn't have had a chance.

by Anonymousreply 493June 17, 2024 2:43 AM

Jessica only did the play in hopes of a win. I would not want to be standing in between her and a bottle of gin tonight.

by Anonymousreply 494June 17, 2024 2:43 AM

Sit down Paula.

by Anonymousreply 495June 17, 2024 2:43 AM

Amy Ryan looked lovely and happy for Sarah.

Love her. Hope she gets the big Oscar- or Tony-winning role she deserves.

by Anonymousreply 496June 17, 2024 2:43 AM

Good speech from Paulson. Prepared and no rambling.

by Anonymousreply 497June 17, 2024 2:43 AM

Reading from paper surely makes the speech seem sincere.

by Anonymousreply 498June 17, 2024 2:43 AM

Jess didn't look too pleased. And there was nothing her hacked up face could do to help her hide it.

by Anonymousreply 499June 17, 2024 2:43 AM

Dear God Paulsen. SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY.

by Anonymousreply 500June 17, 2024 2:43 AM

R490 ummm she’s had a VERY successful career. Your comment is what is sad.

by Anonymousreply 501June 17, 2024 2:44 AM

Will Trish Hawkins be sending any more notes to Sarah now that she’s a Tony winner?

by Anonymousreply 502June 17, 2024 2:44 AM

There hasn’t been one entertaining acceptance speech tonight.

by Anonymousreply 503June 17, 2024 2:44 AM

uh oh....Angelina Jolie is sitting next to Paulsons girlfriend. This will not end well. Just ask Jennifer Anniston.

by Anonymousreply 504June 17, 2024 2:44 AM

R494 no. She liked the script. She has Tony’s.

by Anonymousreply 505June 17, 2024 2:44 AM

Brooke what the hell are you wearing?

by Anonymousreply 506June 17, 2024 2:45 AM

Wow, Brooke is looking hefty.

Is that bizarre yellow sequined dress "of her own design"?

by Anonymousreply 507June 17, 2024 2:45 AM

Nicole Scherzinger is a cunt in real life.

Brooke looks amazing.

Sarah Paulson is a raging cunt.

by Anonymousreply 508June 17, 2024 2:46 AM

Why didn't they get Dylan Mulvaney to sing the tribute?

by Anonymousreply 509June 17, 2024 2:46 AM

This is weird.

by Anonymousreply 510June 17, 2024 2:46 AM

God can they wrap this up?

by Anonymousreply 511June 17, 2024 2:47 AM

Scheherazade thinks this "performance" will win her a featured guest performance Emmy.

by Anonymousreply 512June 17, 2024 2:47 AM

Billy Porter would have been better, R509.

by Anonymousreply 513June 17, 2024 2:47 AM

Trish Hawkins just left the thread, but she will post seven pages of notes for DL tomorrow.

by Anonymousreply 514June 17, 2024 2:47 AM

And by weird I mean the focus is split between Nicole and the people we are supposed to be remembering. Just feels off.

by Anonymousreply 515June 17, 2024 2:48 AM

Nice shoes, Brooke.

by Anonymousreply 516June 17, 2024 2:48 AM

Steven Lutvak. So sad.

by Anonymousreply 517June 17, 2024 2:48 AM

I'm expecting them to fast-forward the slide show just so that Scheherazade will shut up.

by Anonymousreply 518June 17, 2024 2:48 AM

Too many dead people. Will this ever end?

by Anonymousreply 519June 17, 2024 2:48 AM

Where are the Pussycat Dolls? I got robbed.

by Anonymousreply 520June 17, 2024 2:49 AM

R489, you mean there will be no more of this?

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 521June 17, 2024 2:49 AM

Brooke looks very thick and masculine in her advanced age.

by Anonymousreply 522June 17, 2024 2:49 AM

You know Jessica Lange blames Hillary and her caftan for her loss!

by Anonymousreply 523June 17, 2024 2:49 AM

Most of those people lived long lives. Hope they were happy.

by Anonymousreply 524June 17, 2024 2:50 AM

Jesus loves fans of the theater, too.

by Anonymousreply 525June 17, 2024 2:50 AM

Finally an In Memoriam done right. Emmys and Oscars producers, please take note.

by Anonymousreply 526June 17, 2024 2:51 AM

At least the director had the good taste not to fill the In Memoriam segment with close-ups of the singer rather than letting the audience the deceased, as is the case with many such tributes.

by Anonymousreply 527June 17, 2024 2:51 AM

Jesus was a theater kid.

by Anonymousreply 528June 17, 2024 2:52 AM

R526=Scheherazade

by Anonymousreply 529June 17, 2024 2:52 AM

Don't you get the feeling we ought to be reporting Sarah Paulson for elder abuse.

I just get the feeling that her relationship with Taylor isn't all sunshine and roses for Taylor.

by Anonymousreply 530June 17, 2024 2:52 AM

R515 They still handled it way better than the Oscars; at least we can see who's being honored. I'd still rather see clips, though.

by Anonymousreply 531June 17, 2024 2:53 AM

I didn't know Linda Balgord had died. How sad. She got raves for her portrayal of 'Norma Desmond' in the first US tour in 1996.

by Anonymousreply 532June 17, 2024 2:53 AM

Nice commercial for Fellow Travelers

by Anonymousreply 533June 17, 2024 2:53 AM

Less than ten minutes to get through Best Leading Actor in a Musical and Best Musical...

by Anonymousreply 534June 17, 2024 2:54 AM

R488 = Julia Roberts

by Anonymousreply 535June 17, 2024 2:54 AM

Oh , it's the attractive young man that can't act or sing but is getting a Broadway show soon.

by Anonymousreply 536June 17, 2024 2:54 AM

What's a Jonas doing there? Is he planning to ruin the upcoming Les Mis revival?

by Anonymousreply 537June 17, 2024 2:55 AM

Nick is wearing his wife's necklace.

by Anonymousreply 538June 17, 2024 2:55 AM

Did Nick bring his masculine Bearded Wife?

by Anonymousreply 539June 17, 2024 2:55 AM

If this girl's gonna be in The Last 5 Years, are they gonna have to change the Shiksa Goddess song?

by Anonymousreply 540June 17, 2024 2:55 AM

Can this girl hurry up and get on stage?

by Anonymousreply 541June 17, 2024 2:56 AM

10 minutes to make it to the stage. Get on with it.

by Anonymousreply 542June 17, 2024 2:56 AM

Rhianna wannabe. UGH. She thanked her "village"....oh my.

by Anonymousreply 543June 17, 2024 2:56 AM

So nice Joy Reid gave her one of her old wigs to wear tonight.

by Anonymousreply 544June 17, 2024 2:57 AM

She looks like actress Cush Jumbo.

by Anonymousreply 545June 17, 2024 2:58 AM

I can't believe singing Alicia Keys' songs gets her a Tony. Deplorable.

by Anonymousreply 546June 17, 2024 2:58 AM

When will these bitches realize that God has NOTHING to do with them winning a goddamn award? Enough is enough.

by Anonymousreply 547June 17, 2024 2:58 AM

Will Groff win?

by Anonymousreply 548June 17, 2024 2:58 AM

Smug wins

by Anonymousreply 549June 17, 2024 2:59 AM

He did!

by Anonymousreply 550June 17, 2024 2:59 AM

God. What a waste of an award. Looky, he pulled another nose hair.

by Anonymousreply 551June 17, 2024 2:59 AM

Love Groff.

by Anonymousreply 552June 17, 2024 3:00 AM

R546 buddy. She does more than sing.

by Anonymousreply 553June 17, 2024 3:01 AM

Best Farce of an Actor in A Musical.

Jonathan's dad looks embarrassed. You sired him.

by Anonymousreply 554June 17, 2024 3:01 AM

Groff was not better than the lead in Outsiders.

by Anonymousreply 555June 17, 2024 3:01 AM
Oh , it's the attractive young man that can't act or sing but is getting a Broadway show soon.

This is what Nick thinks of you.

Geoff gave a nice speech

by Anonymousreply 560June 17, 2024 3:02 AM

An actual sincere speech!

by Anonymousreply 561June 17, 2024 3:03 AM

Yes he’s great.

by Anonymousreply 562June 17, 2024 3:03 AM

Last chance to place your bets on Best Musical?

I'm guessing Suffs.

by Anonymousreply 563June 17, 2024 3:03 AM

Groff will be the new host next year. Bet on it,

by Anonymousreply 564June 17, 2024 3:03 AM

My local 11 pm news would like to go on. Can they wrap this up, please ?

by Anonymousreply 565June 17, 2024 3:04 AM

Sarah Paulson’s first job out of high school was understudying Amy Ryan in THE SISTERS ROSENSWEIG.

Happy now, [italic]cunt??

by Anonymousreply 566June 17, 2024 3:04 AM

R561 really??? Hardly. The young lady who won before him was sincere. And you shat on her.

by Anonymousreply 567June 17, 2024 3:04 AM

R564 He certainly auditioned for it just now.

by Anonymousreply 568June 17, 2024 3:04 AM

Suffs. It's already won Best Book and Best Score.

by Anonymousreply 569June 17, 2024 3:05 AM

Bad as this show is, it's better than the news, R565.

by Anonymousreply 570June 17, 2024 3:05 AM

Groff talking about recording the Tonys on VHS as a gayling in Pennsylvania was very sweet.

by Anonymousreply 571June 17, 2024 3:05 AM

I’m pulling for Suffs. I’ve known a member of the cast since she was a child.

by Anonymousreply 572June 17, 2024 3:05 AM

Love the black dress

by Anonymousreply 573June 17, 2024 3:06 AM

I have zero interest in seeing that Wicked movie. It should've been animated.

by Anonymousreply 574June 17, 2024 3:06 AM

THE OUTSIDERS!!!

by Anonymousreply 575June 17, 2024 3:06 AM

Bullshit

by Anonymousreply 576June 17, 2024 3:06 AM

The Jets win the trophy.

by Anonymousreply 577June 17, 2024 3:07 AM

Bullshit, indeed! What a crock of rainy shit.

by Anonymousreply 578June 17, 2024 3:07 AM

Pretty surprising....

by Anonymousreply 579June 17, 2024 3:08 AM

Is that SE Hinton up there?

by Anonymousreply 580June 17, 2024 3:08 AM

The Outsiders is crap

by Anonymousreply 581June 17, 2024 3:08 AM

Who was the black woman presenting with Idina Menzel?

by Anonymousreply 582June 17, 2024 3:08 AM

The tall guy in the brown suit is cute.

by Anonymousreply 583June 17, 2024 3:08 AM

Does Angie have another trans child?

by Anonymousreply 584June 17, 2024 3:09 AM

When I was a kid in Junior High all the kids who thought they were kewl read The Outsiders. The rest of us knew better.

by Anonymousreply 585June 17, 2024 3:10 AM

She is dreadful.

by Anonymousreply 586June 17, 2024 3:10 AM

The Outsiders winning is only shocking to people not paying attention. Most predicted it winning.

by Anonymousreply 587June 17, 2024 3:10 AM

Cynthia Erivo R582

by Anonymousreply 588June 17, 2024 3:10 AM

If Suffs wins, Hilz will get an award as producer in the David Koch theater.

yassssss

by Anonymousreply 589June 17, 2024 3:11 AM

Cynthia Erivo R582 and she's fucking fierce. Look up her performances on YouTube.

by Anonymousreply 590June 17, 2024 3:11 AM

BAJOUR!

by Anonymousreply 591June 17, 2024 3:11 AM

Clearly Groff has tasted Dan R's cock.

by Anonymousreply 592June 17, 2024 3:12 AM

Chita!

by Anonymousreply 593June 17, 2024 3:12 AM

BAJOUR was better than The Outsiders. Of course, I didn’t see either one of them.

by Anonymousreply 594June 17, 2024 3:13 AM
[R561] really??? Hardly. The young lady who won before him was sincere. And you shat on her.

Sorry, I didn't even see the presentation, as I was moving a load of wash from the washer to the dryer.

by Anonymousreply 595June 17, 2024 3:13 AM

Groff will celebrate his first win tonight with bestie Lea Michele. He’s actually an awful person like her. Birds of a feather.

by Anonymousreply 596June 17, 2024 3:13 AM

Loved 'The Outsiders.' Well deserved!

by Anonymousreply 597June 17, 2024 3:13 AM

Everyone knows that R596.
My local 11 pm news would like to go on. Can they wrap this up, please ?

I guess CBS deserves credit for not cutting the show off at 11pm like they used to and allowing it to run all the way to the end.

by Anonymousreply 600June 17, 2024 3:16 AM

And I am telling you.......we're closing..........

by Anonymousreply 601June 17, 2024 3:16 AM

Brody Grant of The Outsiders should have won for Best Actor in a Musical. I like Jonathan Groff, but Brody deserved the Tony much more.

by Anonymousreply 602June 17, 2024 3:16 AM

The opening number of the Tonys is always great. What happened this year? The producers didn't give Ariana DeBose their best.

by Anonymousreply 603June 17, 2024 3:17 AM

Eden Espinosa should have won for Best Actress in a Musical. "Lempicka" was outstanding.

by Anonymousreply 604June 17, 2024 3:18 AM

From a commercial standpoint, the love was spread around pretty evenly. No show walked away with an armful of awards, and a lot of productions will post "TONY WINNER" on their marquees tomorrow. It may keep some of them open a little longer.

Personally, seeing the clips from the shows, I was only surprised by Water For Elephants and Illinoise -both of which interested me more than I thought they would. Hard pass on Hell's Kitchen. I already wanted to see Suffs, and I guess I'd give Outsiders a chance. Sadly, I'm going to New York in the fall and the only show the group booked was Tommy, which is another hard (HARD) pass for me.

Stereophonic? All the raves, but there wasn't a single clip or performance that looked even remotely interesting to me.

by Anonymousreply 605June 17, 2024 3:19 AM
