Do you still enjoy watching movies knowing that actors involved are abusers? I have always been a great movie lover, but after spending too much time on the internet and on gossip sites such as Datalounge and finding out that so many actors have been involved or accused of (domestic) abuse or sexual abuse, I have a hard time enjoying movies with some people.

Knowing too much about them, especially such bad stuff, does kind of limit my enjoyment of their movies. Do you feel so as well or am to sensitive.

I actually worked with Max Schell on a project in the early 2000s. I couldn't believe it as I remembered having a crush on him when I was a gayling watching him on TV in Judgment at Nuremberg, never in a million years thinking our paths would eventually cross.

He was still incredibly handsome, tall with great posture and a full head of greying hair, but rather fragile of health with dark circles under his eyes and slightly sallow skin. He arrived in town a little later than the other actors on the project. He always dressed in black, a classy casual suit and black shirt, often with a white silk scarf draped over his shoulders. He looked like an impresario, like you'd imagine Sergei Diaghliev. The cast and everyone was enamored of him, great respect. He was very businesslike and I never saw any untoward behavior from him.

But that's all I got.

Judgment at Nuremberg used to be on TV a lot in 1960s and it was hailed as quality drama but it was boring as hell. I could never sit through it.

Robert McNamara said if we’d lost the war he and Curtis LeMay would’ve been prosecuted for war crimes because of their engineering of firebombing. I wonder if the crews of the bombers would’ve been tried as war criminals and convicted? They literally were just following orders.

With all the war crimes and atrocities by Japan and Germany during WWII, I don't expect the US to be proper boy scouts when responding in kind to their enemies in war.
