And here we are !
by Anonymous | reply 1 | June 3, 2024 11:53 PM |
Trump is demanding The Supreme Court to rescue him from conviction. They better not even go there.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | June 4, 2024 12:03 AM |
The case will have to wind its way through NY state courts before it can be brought before the SC. That might take years.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | June 4, 2024 12:46 AM |
I wonder if Ellie Honig is embarrassed that lawyers called him out on his sloppy reporting in The Atlantic. Lots of MAGA cited to Elie since he was so critical of the Trump conviction.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | June 4, 2024 1:08 AM |
SCROTUS can’t overturn a STATE conviction, no matter how much his bitches there may want to.
Suck on it, Scalito, Uncle Tom and Gore-suck!
Eat shit, Amy Covid cunt and Blackout Brett.

Bumping to say Colbert will be new tonight. So says my cable guide.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | June 4, 2024 1:12 AM |
A real alpha wouldn't be begging for help.
A true macho, macho man would take the penalty, win the presidency from the slammah, and come out of that jail cell looking like Rocky Balboa.
But instead, he's beta cucking his way around like the weak, doddering pantshitter he is, crying for his mommies to mop up the messes he's made.
What an embarrassment of a human being.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | June 4, 2024 1:15 AM |
That isn’t true r5. Unfortunately, once appeals are exhausted in NY state, the case can be appealed to the SC.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | June 4, 2024 2:05 AM |
I agree that George Conway is a phony.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | June 4, 2024 2:09 AM |
Well, R8, then the NY courts ought t o do what the fuckingTrump Judges on SCOTUS do, delay, delay, delay. By the time the SCOTUS hers the case Trump will be in his 80's if he's alive, and Thomas, Alito and Roberts will be gone.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 4, 2024 3:02 AM |
R10, agree, it really is despicable that Dump gets treated with kid gloves by our courts. He can just keep on kicking the can down the road. My one hope is that he bankrupts himself in the process.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | June 4, 2024 3:44 AM |
Laura Benanti is a national treasure.
She’s brilliantly hysterical as the first whore.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | June 4, 2024 5:56 AM |
I agree with you, R10. The prosecution in the case and the state itself, if possible, DELAY DELAY DELAY. If Trump starts suggesting the Supreme Court will save him, that might rattle them, and Roberts might fear for the reputation of 'his' court in history.
But... I wouldn't be surprised if the Supreme Court had the right to just barge in when it wanted to, to "settle things" of such national import - like before a presidential election, saying the people had a right to know the whole story before voting (i.e., whether the conviction will hold up).
by Anonymous | reply 13 | June 4, 2024 7:40 AM |
"The Supreme Court only takes cases from state courts when the appeal involves the U.S. Constitution. Thus, the person making the appeal must show that his or her rights, under the Bill of Rights, were denied by the state, or that some error was made in the court that affected their due process rights."
by Anonymous | reply 14 | June 4, 2024 9:05 AM |
Why are we assuming Roberts likes Trump much? I seem to recall he publicly rebuked him at one point?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | June 4, 2024 11:20 AM |
Don't they vote on whether to take up cases? So out of the 6 rightwingers, we just need 5 to vote on it. And it does affect the vote in November.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 4, 2024 12:30 PM |
I doubt the Supreme Court would get involved until all NY appeals have been exhausted. Even then Trump would have to ask them to overturn and he will be near death since it will take years to get through the NY appellate courts.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | June 4, 2024 1:34 PM |
And might have already served all his time.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | June 4, 2024 1:36 PM |
There is no way this case will be decided by the Appellate Division before the November 5th election, which is now five months away. tRump can’t even file the notice of appeal until after his sentencing on July 11. A decision in four months? Quite unlikely. The briefing schedule takes up a few months on its own. The government has 30 days to respond, but appellate courts routinely grant extensions for responsive pleadings. Then there are the weeks needed for the judges and their clerks to read through the briefs and transcripts in preparation for oral argument — while each of them are handling dozens of other cases. Add in the weeks after argument to write the decision. He’s not getting anything before the election.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | June 4, 2024 2:00 PM |
[quote] Why are we assuming Roberts likes Trump much? I seem to recall he publicly rebuked him at one point?
Just about every GOP politician has rebuked Trump at one time and they’ve all gone back to licking his anuse.,
by Anonymous | reply 20 | June 4, 2024 2:20 PM |
[QUOTE]tRump can’t even file the notice of appeal until after his sentencing on July 11. A decision in four months? Quite unlikely.
He also has to find an appellate attorney who understands that system and its rules and processes. Who knows how many will turn him down?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | June 4, 2024 3:14 PM |
Like THAT matters, r21!
He just wants some lickspittle to be his lying mouthpiece. Doesn’t matter if they know what they’re doing or not.
Just be an attention whore willing to say whatever the lying sack of shit tells you to say. And be ok with not getting paid.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | June 4, 2024 5:10 PM |
I'm available!
by Anonymous | reply 23 | June 4, 2024 5:11 PM |
R22 - Even lickspittles like Tacopina RUN not walk AWAY from him now. They likely don't want to admit they'd been had by Trump, no matter how much Trump offers upfront. Especially at that level of refinement in the appellate process.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | June 4, 2024 5:38 PM |
[quote]Like THAT matters
It does if he wants to have a chance of success.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | June 4, 2024 5:39 PM |
I just tuned in to Fox by mistake. It was a panel show led by Kayleigh Maganinny. Tragic plastic surgery victim Harris Faulkner (stretched so tight she can barely move her facial muscles) said "well, we weren't even told until the last day of Trump's trial what the charges were." EXCUSE ME????
They really just lie and spew BS with abandon. It's no wonder we have so many dumbass people in America, when they watch this dreck all day long.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | June 4, 2024 5:43 PM |
It’s not about success, r25. It’s about keeping the grift going and keeping the delays growing.
He’s not going to win. That’s not the point. The point is grifting from the rubes. And delaying until his cult can stage coup 2, which is what they are planning for right now.
There’s a reason these Heritage Foundation kkkunts are showing where they stand. Same with Scalito and Thomas and the rest of the SCROTUS scum. They’re planning to execute coup 2 by using the courts. Just like in 2000. Except this time, there will be no restraint.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | June 4, 2024 9:28 PM |
If he is sentenced to serve jail time on July 11, and he files an appeal - does he still begin serving time or does that jail sentence get postponed to see how the appeal ends up ?
by Anonymous | reply 28 | June 4, 2024 9:56 PM |
But won't SCOTUS ruling for Trump on the Presidential immunity-thing 'trump' all of his legal troubles? They'll all just go awayyy.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | June 4, 2024 9:57 PM |
In the NY case, that all happened before he was elected. No claim of Presidential immunity there. Probably not in the documents case either.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | June 4, 2024 10:00 PM |
We have to see how it plays out but I don’t think the high court can save him. He won’t win absolute immunity - that would be crazy. The most they can do for him is delay things.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | June 4, 2024 10:09 PM |
In the words of Andrew Jackson - "The Supreme Court has made their decision; now let them enforce it."
There have been times in US history where the executive branch has butted heads with the judicial branch. We shall see
by Anonymous | reply 32 | June 4, 2024 10:20 PM |
Especially since the rancid orange prick remains a threat to national security. Not just in the US but any and all of our allies as well.
He didn’t limit his thievery to US National secrets. He stole ALL y’all’s, too.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | June 4, 2024 11:26 PM |
You know how I know everyone around him is the opposite of a patriot?
Because he stole and sold our nation's most valuable secrets, including our nuclear secrets, and and he's still alive. Not only alive, but running for another presidency.
Those closest to him know exactly what he's done and what he is; therefore none of them are patriots. They are opportunists who care nothing for America, and care only for themselves.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | June 5, 2024 12:25 AM |
I bow down to you R34. I share your outrage. There are sinister forces in our country who have compromised every branch of government. The Legislative and the judiciary, as much as they are attempting to regain the executive. We have to get rid of them. Root & stem. Clean house. That's why turnout is so important. The Republican Party is a shell they have populated with filth. We have to send them down to defeat in November. The House, the Senate and the state legislatures too. Vote Blue and drag every living ass to the polls. The only thing that can defeat us is apathy. Well, we can't afford that luxury this year.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | June 5, 2024 12:32 AM |
I wonder if the immunity decision will be 5-4, with Roberts and Barrett saying there is no absolute immunity from criminal prosecution. The other goons would be all for it.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | June 5, 2024 12:32 AM |
I am fucking infuriated, R35. Livid. Repulsed. Every one of those people who are enabling him, they know exactly what he's done! What and who he has and will continue to put at risk and they are supporting his efforts for another try at a coup when he loses to President Biden again (which he will). His supporters are just rubes and cultists. Just dumb sheep who have nothing left but to see their "team" beat the other "team" or "own some libs", who are used for nothing but donations and noise.
The ones who know better, though? They are treacherous, spineless sacks of slime! Not a one of them care about our country, their children or their grandchildren, the future of our nation, or the safety of anyone around them. Not one true patriot among them.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | June 5, 2024 1:46 AM |
Not-so-well-scrubbed hustling rubes.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | June 5, 2024 1:49 AM |
Trump is so obviously unfit to run for office it takes every single media talking head to convince us otherwise. The Great Pretenders. Acting as if this is a normal campaign. And now they're giving Hunter Biden the same wall to wall coverage they gave Trump. Such absolute bullshit. In which universe are the two cases related? Hunter had a plea agreement they threw out so they could distract the public from the shit show the Republican PArty puts on. They are so fucked up, can't even get their shit together to have a functioning Congress. But they don't want us to focus on their clown show, so they make shit up.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | June 5, 2024 3:24 AM |
Trump sat for a soft-ball interview with Hannity tonight on his show. It's nice to see Hannity devote a whole show to a convicted felon.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | June 6, 2024 1:48 AM |
I really think Trump will lose. He’s toxic.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | June 6, 2024 2:06 AM |
I'm still chuckling over the Kate Bush reference ("Waking the Witch") in the previous thread. <3
by Anonymous | reply 43 | June 6, 2024 2:21 AM |
R41 - was it heavily edited?
by Anonymous | reply 44 | June 6, 2024 2:38 AM |
It was, R44. The even had to cut Pantshitter 45 off in mid-sentence a couple of times.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | June 6, 2024 2:42 AM |
R45- He was literally foaming at the mouth. I kid you not.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | June 11, 2024 10:52 PM |
Oh. I thought this was going to be a thread about Hunter Biden...
by Anonymous | reply 47 | June 11, 2024 10:59 PM |
Nobody but MAGAts care about the Hunter Biden trial
If he’s guilty, he’s guilty.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | June 11, 2024 11:02 PM |
Is Hunter running for president?
Wow, I missed that Breaking News!
by Anonymous | reply 49 | June 11, 2024 11:49 PM |
I do find the Hunter Biden trial interesting insofar as it’s a great template for how to deal with gun toting MAGATs. How many of them do you think lied about drug use when applying for gun licenses?
by Anonymous | reply 50 | June 11, 2024 11:54 PM |
ElderLez - And now a precedent has been set . . .
by Anonymous | reply 51 | June 12, 2024 1:40 AM |
I don't think most Republicans like him but they just want to be back in power. The whole government is corrupt. CA Democrats are corrupt. the gov needs to be cleaned up on both sides.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | June 12, 2024 1:48 AM |
This is why the elite and establishment want Trump back in. To dismantle America and demolish Democracy so we are all slaves. They will not allow him to rule anything if he cheats out a win. He'll be a figurehead at best and carried off to be disposed of, at worst.
"House Democrats step up to try to stop Project 2025 plans for a Trump White House"

Oh, yeah, right, “both sides.” 🙄
One political party has as its standard-bearer a convicted felon who is facing additional serious felony charges in three other jurisdictions, was found civilly guilty of fraud, rape, and defamation, was impeached twice, and made 30,573 false or misleading claims during his presidential term.
The other does not.

by Anonymous | reply 56 | June 12, 2024 12:02 PM |
“Both sides” my ass.
Trump was a party to, hell, directed, an attempted looting of my duly cast, legal, non-fraudulent vote for Joseph Biden.
Fucking criminal Sore-Loser Asshole.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | June 12, 2024 12:18 PM |
As a convicted felon, Trump can no longer own a gun. Doesn’t he have a gold plated one someone presented to him?
by Anonymous | reply 58 | June 12, 2024 3:02 PM |
[quote]As a convicted felon, Trump can no longer own a gun. Doesn’t he have a gold plated one someone presented to him?
This means Trump's cherished public boast about blame-free shooting on Fifth Avenue is now less open to him. But doubtless his sociopathic ego will soon find a new displacement fantasy to share with his bloodthirsty cult.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | June 12, 2024 3:49 PM |
Oh, trust that the corrupt Roberts court would make an “exception” for the orange traitor to own a gun as a felon.
He owns THEM. And they know it.
