In many ways I think this song (and look!) is more emblematic of disco than any Donna Summer song.

Bitch lived the seventies, if the seventies to you was a coked out porn star

68 porn titles between 1971 and 1983

But yes that's a great song. Lousy dancer though.

Was a big NY movie fan as a kid, so I scoured the NY papers movie section every day. Far from being able to see these "No one under 21 movies" and honestly oblivious to what porno was, I was however familiar with the name Andrea True. So I was surprised one Saturday afternoon during "American Bandstand" when they did their new song of the week survey, you know where they would play a clip of a song and the kid would say, "I give it an 8 and you can dance to it!" and Dick Clark says "More, More, More" by the Andrea true Connection. I liked it and I think the kids did too and the rest was Disco history.

The Rialto Report tracked her down late in her life and she did this podcast. The Rialto guys also got her some royalties she didn't know she was owed.

Now that I think about it, there's no way I have ever NOT heard Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons' "December, 1963 (Oh, What A Night)" (released in 1975) mashed up next to this in a disco dance medley, given they're so similar.
