"Decoy"
I ended up watching a couple of episodes of this on Amazon last night. Beverly Garland plays Officer Casey Jones, an NYPD officer who works as a decoy. Half hours, sharp black and white photography of New York in the 1950s, and the right mix of drama and camp.
In one, Casey goes undercover as an inmate at a women's prison to solve a crime. Colleen Dewhurst and Lois Nettleton play as obvious a pair of dyke lovers as you could get on 1950s TV. In another, she helps out a young woman who's getting obscene phone calls (Ross Martin makes an excellent sweaty pervert).
Lots of fun. Has anyone seen this?

Lois Nettleton, I haven't heard that name in a long time. I remember her.

I love Beverly Garland. She was very talented, and also hilarious.
She was in “It Conquered the World,” the Roger Corman sci fi shitfest, and when she saw the monster she heaped scorn on it.
She said “THAT’S the monster? Oh brother. It’s shorter than I am!”
So feeling chastened, Corman made it taller. Garland still wasn’t impressed. She said, “I could knock that thing over with my foot.”

For the longest time I only knew her from My Three Sons (loved her; HATED Dodie, who was about the same age I was).
Only in the last 3-4 years have I seen her earlier work on various old TV shows, and she really is fabulous. Absolutely KILLER figure, too. Plus that pouty lower lip like Julie London. Sexy.
