PBS will be broadcasting this next month. It apparently was already on the BBC last fall.
Looks interesting.

The 1976-81 disco yrs were dance on the table fun. Working in a Long Island club, it was the best time I ever had....no other era can or will replicate it

If you have a VPN you can watch it right now on the BBC website.

Sounds fascinating. I'll definitely be watching!

It's SO GOOD. Lots of good clips and interviews. And it's inclusive without being preachy. Highly recommended.

Like disco itself, part 1 was far better than parts 2 and 3.

It's on PBS June 1st.

R8 It's streaming on the PBS app as of June 1, apparently, and may be on the website?
But the broadcast on the air on local stations is over 3 weeks, starting June 18.

I really want to see this. It's supposed to be the best documentary on disco.

PBS in Southern California is now scheduled to air all three episodes back-to-back on Tuesday, June 4. At least that's what my DVR schedule is showing.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 29, 2024 3:11 AM |
My schedule says tonight starting at 9. All three episodes.

Watching it now, through 2 of the 3 episodes.....the last one will be the shitty one as we know how it ends.
Mostly great - a little focused on the NYC experience but that's not a big deal.

Candi Staton was fun but also seemed a french fry short of a happy meal......

Yes indeed, we too use "cookies." Take a look at our privacy/terms or if you just want to see the damn site without all this bureaucratic nonsense, click ACCEPT. Otherwise, you'll just have to find some other site for your pointless bitchery needs.
