Brokeback Mountain Might Be One of the Greatest Movies of All Time

It’s such an excellent film. The story, characters, acting, pacing. The ending lands perfectly, which is very hard to do. I love great filmmaking and it gets no better than this. It’s nearly 20 years old and feels as fresh as the day it was released.

AnnE is the most evil woman in film since Bette Davis threw her husband down the stairs and watched him die, in Little Foxes.

It's a great movie. I loved Heath Ledger, I'm not sure if he was actually gay but he gave an excellent portrayal. Its depiction of gay attraction and sex probably was groundbreaking in this era of theatre. I was around ten when this movie came out, and it seemed to be the butt of jokes around that time. It aged well.

Amazing film given that the short story it's adapted from ran about 55 pages in print.
